I will be forever grateful for the care my mum receives at Tiltwood.

First visit to a friend of my dad. Quiet atmosphere here. The business manager was really friendly and took the time with us to talk to me (I run a care home too). The carer is clearly loving her job and is very good with the residents, you can see that.

Staff make residents' birthdays special for them by putting up balloons and banners. At teatime, residents are treated to homemade birthday cake and drinks. Staff and residents sang happy birthday to my mum and I was made welcome to participate and was included with cake and a glass of bucks fizz. I really appreciated the effort staff put in.

Tiltwood offers a relaxed, family atmosphere in a homely environment. The management and staff are amazing and treat residents as individuals and with dignity and respect. Regular activities are laid on including outside entertainers and therapy dog visits weekly which are a huge hit with the residents. I never wanted to place Mum into care, however, at Tiltwood I know that she is safe, well looked after and happy as a result of the level of care and affection she has received from the amazing staff for which I am truly grateful. I have always found the manager to be accessible and any concerns, are listened to and addressed. The changes that have been made to the internal decor and soft furnishings have made the home brighter and cheerful.

My father has been a permanent resident at Tiltwood since 2018 and he also required respite care at Tiltwood prior to that. I have found all the staff to be very understanding of my father's needs and always have complete confidence in the manager and her team. Care UK has always kept us as a family informed of the latest developments and news at Tiltwood which was very welcome over the difficult lockdown period. They were able to put a visiting pod on the grounds so that we could see Dad as much as we could in very safe surroundings. We as a family were well informed of any health issue that Dad may have had and the staff always kept us updated when needed. We are very happy to have Dad stay at Tiltwood and cannot wish for a better team to look after him. They always say Dad is a pleasure to look after and we can see how happy and settled he is when visiting. Excellent care team all round.

After nearly two years under the excellent care of the team at Tiltwood, my father regretfully will no longer be a resident. I’m very sorry that Dad won’t be at Tiltwood any longer. The care he received was so good that I had complete confidence in the manager and her team. The most remarkable aspect for me was how all the staff interacted with Dad. Whenever I visited, it was heartwarming to see so many staff know him, say hello and interact, sharing a laugh with him and showing what a great relationship had been developed. On the last day, I spoke to the maintenance gentleman in the car park and he expressed such fondness for Dad that really showed me how much everyone at Tiltwood cares for their residents. Saying thank you doesn’t quite seem enough but simply, thank you Tiltwood, to everyone that helped my Dad, cared for him, shared a joke with him and got to know the real him.

My father was cared for in this home for a period of 10 months. He died peacefully in his sleep on 13th November 2020. The staff and management were first class. Catered for his needs, compassionate and loving. Good communications. He was loved and cared for in a special way especially during these tough Covid times. I would like to extend my thanks to all the members of staff at Tiltwood Care Home.

Although I was unable to enter the care home as my friend was taken in during lockdown, all members of staff (without exception) that I came into contact with) were kind, caring and considerate. When I was able to visit my friend in the garden it was clear that she had a good rapport with the staff. I am glad she was able to spend her final few months cared for my lovely people.

The staff at Tiltwood are excellent. They provide a caring, family atmosphere where my mum is respected as an individual. I would like to thank them all for the kindness and consideration they have shown her.

I have complete faith in the care my husband is receiving. The staff are always helpful and most of all cheerful. From my observations on recent garden visits, residents are treated with dignity and respect.

There is a very warm, friendly and homely feel about Tiltwood. It is very comforting and reassuring that my friend is being so well looked after.

Tiltwood is a caring and home from home environment. My Nan was well-loved and enjoyed taking part in the day to day activities run by the staff. Being able to have a cafe-style tea was also a bit hit with her as she felt like she was still able to do a familiar thing she used to do before going to Tiltwood.

If we ever have any concerns, we know they are listened to and acted on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tiltwood to other families in the same situation.

Tiltwood staff have been so kind and reassuring to myself and my mother, she has become more like her old self and she is so happy and cared for, it has made a sad and stressful family situation so much easier with all the support and help from Tiltwood's manager. Guidance, care, compassion and sensitivity. We could not have asked for more. Thank you.

From the moment my mother arrived at Tiltwood, she has been welcomed with nothing but love, friendship, support and care. The atmosphere is relaxed, homely and stimulating with lots of smiles and laughter. The staff always make the time to engage with the residents and are supportive and attentive. The management team have been nothing but excellent in keeping us informed and providing much-needed support, not guidance. Facilities and rooms are kept clean and well maintained. Mum's life has been very much positives enhanced by Tiltwood and we are looking forward to continuing her journey there.

My husband was admitted to Tiltwood on the 29th Dec 2017. He is still being cared for and the care that he is receiving is second to none. The family are more than satisfied with all the care and attention he is obtaining. I and my family would recommend Tiltwood to anyone that needs special care in every aspect. I would like to add that all the carers that look after the residents give 101% to them.

Residents/relatives are made to feel at home and part of a family as soon as they enter the front door. From cleaner to manager everybody extends a warm and loving hand to every resident, making them feel valued, secure and happy. They are encouraged to be independent and participate in a variety of activities throughout the day from dancing and singing, cookery, arts and crafts, exercises and many more. A number of external trips are also organised for those residents who wish to go, as well as relatives interested in going along.

I was extremely upset at the thought of having to move my mother into Tiltwood, however, that was very short lived as this is, in my opinion, the loveliest place she could be, which is largely due to the hard work and kindness shown by every member of staff who look after her. Everyone has time to spend with every resident, they are never too busy to sit down for a chat and share a laugh. I could not be happier with the love and care extended to my mum.

My mother has been here for over a year now and we as a family are very pleased with her care. She is happy, healthy, loved and well cared for. The staff on the unit are amazing and must make a special reference to two ladies who run the unit so well. there is always such a positive vibe in there and the residents are treated with such dignity and love. There are two ladies do an amazing job in the day centre and mum has a lot of fun with them, doing varied activities. All the staff are lovely and it is a pleasure coming into see mum as they are so friendly. Thank you Tiltwood for listening to us and make mum as comfortable as you can.

I am very impressed and thankful knowing my dad is getting the care he now needs. I would definitely recommend Tiltwood to others.

We have been delighted with the care my father receives at Tiltwood. He is quite obviously receiving top class care and is extremely healthy and happy. All the (permanent) staff clearly make every effort to go beyond the basic hygiene factors and make staying at Tiltwood a stimulating and enjoyable experience. We receive quality feedback on Dad's condition and the staff regularly make changes to his customised care regime. The staff have taken the time to get to know us, as a family, and we always receive a warm welcome to this clean, happy, well-organised home. Thanks to all the team from all of us.
