Dalling House

I just wanted to place on record how happy my family and I are regarding Mum's placement at Dalling House. We know for a fact that Mum is so happy at Dalling and she enjoys all the activities and daily aspects of living there. Importantly she loves the food too. This is especially good because she has always been a fussy eater, but has nothing but praise for the meals at Dalling. The manager and all the staff have been wonderful to her ever since she arrived after being discharged from the hospital; Mum has nothing but gratitude to them for the thorough way in which they care for her. So thank you all at Dalling for looking after Mum in such a caring way. It is so reassuring and comforting for us, her family, to know that she is safe and being cared for in such a professional way.

So very helpful and kept all the family up to date. Accommodating and my mother-in-law was very comfortable there. Staff are very friendly.

My Mother has been in Dalling House for six months and I am very pleased with the care she is receiving. She is happy with her room and comfortable. The staff are extremely caring and are always very kind and work very hard. Because of lockdown, things have been a little restricted but that will pass.

Mum needed care following hospital admission with Covid. Dalling House gave a quick and personal response to the request for information. Staff were able to showrooms available via WhatsApp as we could not visit. Also gave info on staffing, activities, care provided and meals. They contacted the hospital to get current medical notes and to assess if they could meet her needs. On arriving at Dalling House mum was settled into her room which staff had made homely with personal items we were able to take. Mum now very happy and clearly being well looked after as her health has greatly improved. Staff have taken time to send photos which have helped the family greatly. Am very impressed with the communication from home even though they must be very busy. We look forward to mum settling further and taking advantage of all Dalling has to offer. Thank you to everyone involved for their kindness and support.

Overall I could not have been happier. No one ever wants to make the decision to recommend a relative goes into a care home because they can no longer cope. The staff at Dalling House seem to appreciate this and not only care for the residents but are very supportive of their families too.

My aunt spent the last two and a half years of her life in Dalling House. the home provided a very homely, caring environment. The staff were very friendly and approachable and offered excellent support to both my aunt and her family.

Dalling House is a very homely and friendly care home. My sister came to Dalling House just before Christmas 2018. She was made very welcome and soon settled in.

My dad who is a Dalling House resident, is well looked after. In early January he was poorly with a chest infection and Dalling House's staff were excellent in their care of him. He is encouraged to dress in the mornings and to join in activities. There was a problem with his damp wardrobe but this was promptly remedied. Carers spend time with him which he loves, and now he is settled he is happy and content.

The home has such a very friendly atmosphere, my mum has settled in. The staff very caring and supportive to residents and family members. I am so pleased my mum is happy here and I know she is always safe and looked after and maintaining her independence.

I think it is a very good home, people are helpful and I think in general they all seem quite happy. But I do think they could look at the food and give more choice.

On our last visit, it was good to see residents taking part in bingo and a quiz.

My mother has been at Dalling House for several years now and the care continues to be perfect for her.

Mum has been at Dalling House since July 2017 and has settled in very well. The staff are very caring and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I feel really happy mum is in such a friendly and nice home.

I spent 3 months in Dalling House myself after a cancer operation and everything was lovely. I visit twice a week every week. It's a lovely home.

My mother is treated with respect and dignity. She celebrated her 100th Birthday in Dalling House, they provided a wonderful tea and entertainment.

My mother is very happy at Dalling House she is always treated with kindness and respect.

My sister has been in this home for a short while and I have noticed a difference in her. She is speaking and walking a lot better and joins in the activities where possible. The staff are really pleasant and do anything to help these people. I feel happy she is in such a nice home.

My first impression of Dalling House was a very homely friendly atmosphere. We were greeted with smiles and handshakes and offered refreshments. My mother-in-law was only at the home for 4 months but in that time she was treated with dignity and respect and very well looked after, all members of staff loved to do things for this person. Nothing was too much trouble and if I had any problems with my mother-in-law I only had to ask any member of staff or management and they would help me all they could. Every time we visited the home, we were always made extremely welcome.

My Grandmother went to Dalling House for a week's respite while I had a holiday. My Gran enjoyed her stay very much.

I made a very good choice choosing Dalling House for my mother. She's very happy there. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Everywhere is clean and tidy. There seems to be plenty of activities. The residents are very well looked after. I've never had any complaints and give the care home 10 out of 10.
