The care and attention I received during my week's stay at Eridge House was excellent.
My nan had a recent respite stay at Eridge House after a short stay in hospital. My family are not overly local and I wanted her to recover in a place that still felt like home and Eridge was that place. They welcomed my nan in with open arms. I cannot fault how clean the home was and my nan was extremely complimentary on the meals she had whilst there, as well as how kind and caring all of the staff were. The team give you a family feel with a professional touch, I cannot thank them all enough and would recommend Eridge House to anyone!
I have always been greeted with a friendly welcome. The accommodation and staff are outstanding. The latter go out of their way to provide your wishes. When my son-in-law first came he said 'it's like a hotel'. The garden is a pleasant place to while away and meet your friends on a sunny day.
Extremely helpful staff. Good attitude towards guests. 10/10. Thank you.
My wife stayed at Eridge House for respite in June 2022 and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for her. Everyone was very kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She really enjoyed the activities and the food was excellent. It was a real 'home from home' feel, all staff and residents seemed really happy there. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Eridge House.
Dad was well looked after, the brilliant staff were very caring and considerate and thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble for them to meet his needs. He thought the food was very good and varied and enjoyed taking part in the activities, (restricted due to Covid). Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
There is a good standard of care at Eridge House. Happy for my mother to be there. Eridge House is a good care home.
Could not wish for any more for mum, very happy.
Since Mum moved into Eridge House she has made huge progress, the staff and management of Eridge made a difficult decision for us as a family much easier. Mum enjoys the company, I visit three or four times a week at whatever time, I am always welcomed and Mum has always been on great form. A huge thank you.
Just wanted to write to say how appreciative I am for the friendliness and helpfulness shown by all the staff and managers at Eridge House towards my father. He has now been in their care for about 11 months and it has become a happy home for him, with his needs well met, in spite of the challenging times in which we live. Many thanks indeed to all.
My mother has been a resident at Eridge House since June this year and the staff have helped us all through the difficult period of mental capacity assessment, initial isolation, inclusion, and from then on ongoing support always with a friendly, caring attitude. With 2 specific carers assigned to my mother, our family have always received timely updates relating to her health and well-being and when a doctor or nursing attendance has been required they have also been supportive. The link between the Care Home with NHS support couldn't be better. My mother understands that she needs to be in a Care Home and is always positive when speaking of the staff, management, food, facilities, and the wonderful garden outlook from her room. I am very pleased that we chose Eridge for our mother and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in the position of trying to find a caring, friendly and supportive Care Home.
I feel very safe and protected. Everything here is very nice; I have no complaints.
Eridge House is a calm, homely place where my mum has been happy to live for over two years. The staff are warm and friendly, professional at all times and sensitive to our needs. Throughout the pandemic, the management has been caring and compassionate but acting to ensure the safety of residents. Special arrangements have been made and communicated to us who want to visit our loved ones. I really appreciate everything they do.
My husband has happily been in Eridge House as a respite resident while I have chemotherapy. He is very well cared for and has no complaints. Having Alzheimer's, he is very forgetful and the carers are very patient with him.
Mum is very well looked after, especially under the COVID restrictions.
The care at Eridge House is exceptional. I feel that my mum is well looked after and that her needs relating to her dementia are met well. Eridge has managed to keep everyone COVID free during the pandemic which is an astonishing achievement. Regarding government guidelines, I do strongly feel that it is past time to allow care home residents more freedom - keeping them confined to the care homes is now detrimental to their mental health.
Everybody is very friendly and I enjoy living here. I feel very looked after and management always help if I need it. It has been nice to be able to see my son safely.
My dad is extremely well looked after here and we are very happy with his care. The home is very much like a home from home and everyone is very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend Eridge House.
Only ever having had bad experiences of care homes in the past, my visits to Eridge House have changed my opinion. The place is spotless, all the staff are caring with a great sense of humour and I understand that the food is good too. Nothing is too much trouble.
The staff at Eridge House are welcoming, kind, caring and have the best interest of all the residents. They keep us informed of everything that is pertinent to the ongoing support care and their dealing over covid has been exemplary.

Heidi has a wealth of experience in the health and social care sector, including working as a manager of a care home prior to becoming the proprietor of Eridge House.
In Heidi's words... I have had the privilege of owning Eridge House since 1988. I have lived in Bexhill for most of my life and for ten years I held the post as a trustee for two local charities which I found most rewarding. One of my biggest achievements is seeing the development of Eridge House from registration of fourteen in 1988 to that of forty-three older people today. Embracing the changing ways in which we work, and the diverse and skilled team led by our Directors and Managers.

Laura is responsible for managing the management team and working closely with Heidi to oversee the running of Eridge House as a business, alongside Nicole.
In Laura's words... My first ever job was at Eridge House as a teenager. I went on to become a Care Assistant here, obtained my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and after a few years away I returned as manager in 2018 until 2022 alongside Nicole. I thoroughly enjoyed my role here as manager and am thrilled to remain working at Eridge House, now in the role of Director. I have achieved my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care and have experience working in both a care home setting and as a domiciliary care provider. Working at Eridge House has always felt special. People often comment on the homely and friendly feel and that is something the entire team are dedicated to providing for all residents and their loved ones.

Nicole is responsible for managing the management team and working closely with Heidi to oversee the running of Eridge House as a business, alongside Laura.
In Nicole's words... When I was offered the job of Supper Assistant at the age of 14 at Eridge House I never imagined that I would become a Director here alongside my sister, Laura. After travelling and acquiring various work experience, I was delighted to return to Eridge House, first in the role of Accounts Manager, to then go on to become the Registered Manager, and now a Director. The friendly atmosphere makes Eridge an enjoyable place to work alongside our dynamic team. My role requires commitment, dedication, and diversity and this is incredibly rewarding. I have obtained my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care.

Rhia is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of Eridge House.
In Rhia's words... I started working at Eridge House during the first COVID-19 lockdown. I had every intention of staying on board as bank staff and returning to my old job, however, when I was offered a permanent role at Eridge House, I couldn't say no, I loved the homely feel and knew I would be happy here with such a good team around me and lovely residents. I have completed my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care and enjoy applying what I have learnt to my role as manager.

Marie assists Rhia with managing the home and provides support to our Care Assistants as part of her job role.
In Marie's words... I joined the Eridge House team in 2019 as a Senior Care Assistant and am thrilled to have progressed to the role of Assistant Manager, with the support of an amazing management team. I have worked in care for over 15 years and have gained my Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care, and have completed my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care.

Alongside Marie, Samantha is responsible for assisting Rhia in managing the home and providing support to our Care Assistants in their role. “From the young age of 13, I found myself drawn to caring. I started out as a tea girl in a residential home, but what I hadn’t realised then was that it was a calling for a lifelong career. I have gained my Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care and Dementia qualifications and stepped into more complex roles and eventually into leadership. After working my way up the chain, I am now Assistant Manager. I really love working at Eridge House, especially the wonderful team and lovely residents”

Janet is responsible for the financial aspects of running Eridge House and provides support on Human Resources matters for the team.
“I joined the Eridge House team in 2024 after working in the financial industry for 40 years, and I have really enjoyed getting to know the team and all the residents. I have worked with small businesses in my previous role and in the voluntary sector for so I hope this experience will benefit my contribution to Eridge House. I am happy to help residents and families navigate the journey of care home funding and reduce the worry during their dealings with us. There is such a lovely family feel here, and everyone has welcomed me, staff and residents alike; it’s a pleasure to come to work each day.”

Sue is responsible for assisting Janet as well as ensuring compliance within the Health & Social Care Industry.
“I joined Eridge in April 2025, having worked in the financial industry for 33 years, with the last 7 years working within the NHS in an administrative role. Eridge has a lovely, homely feel, and there is a great Management team & amazing, caring staff who go over and above and beyond to make sure the residents' needs are met on a daily basis. I love interacting with the residents and watching all the daily activities that are put on for them, which they really enjoy.”
