My uncle was very nervous about leaving his home of over 50 years. he has settled really well into Eridge House and we couldn't have asked for more. He has made friends and enjoys spending his time in the communal areas. We can't recommend the home enough the staff work so hard.

You could ask for a nicer home the staff are friendly, helpful and very supportive. My uncle can be very anxious and they always ensure he is okay. He loves the food and enjoys the staff taking the time to listen to his stories. I couldn't have asked for more, he misses his home but feels very happy and safe.

My dear sister has been at Elridge House since July 2023. She is very happy and the care and the dignity afforded to her has been second to none, and stimulating for her. She is now 93 years of age and it was a great change for her as she lived alone with little care, and it got to the stage where she needed more help. Her family decided Elridge House was the place which would suit her. She has always been a very independent lady who also was a great care worker herself until she retired and so I know she is in a very caring and loving home. She is happy and feels secure. P.S. The food is wonderful too, which she enjoys.

From my first telephone contact, I have been confident in the professionalism, experience and capability of the management and staff teams. My stepfather was not keen on having respite, but we were supported to visit as many times before his stay as needed and at all times have been made to feel welcome. The stable staff and management team speaks volumes and the benefits of this are clearly reflected in the experiences of residents. The home is relaxed and staff clearly have a good rapport and interact with residents. The menu is varied and all cooked on site and a good range of activities offered to those that wish to participate. The fact that my stepdad is happy to visit again says it all!

The rest home is very good I feel safe and are for and secure. I am blind so not always able to see what is about me. All the staff are very friendly, and sometimes some of the residents understand I am blind. But the carers know and always support me.

My mum was at Eridge House for 12 months. I had been recommended to Eridge by several of my friends. I have been so happy with the care my mum received, prior to her sadly passing away recently. The staff took time to know about Mum, her likes and dislikes. They took time to spend time with her. Her keyworkers were amazing, and always went above and beyond. She always had cups of tea on demand, and Mum loved the variety of food. We were always kept up to date by the managers. What's not to love about Eridge?

My 93-year-old mother has been a resident since June 2023. Prior to this, she had home visits and a taster day to assess suitability. She has dementia and was unable, even with home carers to be safe in her own home. I cannot praise the care and attention that was shown highly enough, through this initial stage or indeed since. The managers, key workers and all staff are professional, friendly and sensitive to their resident's situations. My mother has increasingly required additional care which has not caused a problem for the home, who continue to assess and meet her changing needs. The home makes immediate contact when necessary e.g. when my mother had an accidental fall and an ambulance had been called. Staff stayed with her until paramedics arrived and after her overnight stay in hospital, nothing was too much trouble for the home in providing ongoing care. For my mother and no doubt, the other residents, Eridge House provides a safe, comfortable and happy environment.

Eridge House management and staff go above and beyond to create a happy homely atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. The individual and communal areas are cleaned to a high standard, any faults are dealt with quickly. Activities are varied and cater for all abilities on a daily basis. Special dates are celebrated. The menu is varied with choices at all meal times along with personal dietary requirements. The suppers are always freshly cooked and well-presented. Staff training seems to be ongoing, updating as required.

One of the best homes I have visited over many years of visiting friends and family, one I would highly recommend, and would wish for my final years.

Leaving your own home and familiar neighbourhood is very difficult, particularly emotionally., but life changes, and we have to adapt and make the most of it.
Eridge House, with its 30 residents, gives you the chance to meet interested people and make new friends.
The staff are extremely kind and helpful and become friends too. There are excellent activities, which bring people together in one place. Kind owners bring their dogs in to visit - a great pleasure.

My favourite place is the conservatory, open to views of clouds and birds, and the trees and plants growing in the garden.

My aunt has been at Eridge House now for nearly 18 months. The care, support and help at this home is without fault. All the assistants go above and beyond to help in whatever the circumstances, from the office staff to the care workers. They make it feel like a proper home, not an institution. They welcome visitors and keep relatives informed about everything going on in the home for the residents. I cannot fault Eridge House, just thank them.

My mum needed to move into a care home and we looked at a number of different homes, but Eridge House had such a warm family feel to it. The staff are amazing, so giving and caring, and do all they can to help residents and make them feel at home. It is a really well organised home and Mum has a lovely room which she is very happy with and regularly takes part in the different afternoon activities that are carefully organised, she loved when they brought different pets into the home. There is always such a warm welcome and any questions we have are answered and the staff are so lovely and helpful. I can really recommend Eridge House, it is a fantastic care home that feels like a family and I am so pleased my mum has settled in and is being so well looked after.

My mother was in need of full time care after leaving the hospital and I searched the area for a suitable care home. After visiting Eridge House it was obvious that it was exactly what I was looking for. Such lovely caring staff in a clean homely environment and perfect for her needs. They spent time making sure she settled into her new home and nothing was too much trouble. Mum's health and general well-being has improved immensely over the time she has spent there and she has a great relationship with her carers. The weekly menu is well-balanced and has a good variety to suit everyone. Daily entertainment/activities take place every day to keep the residents happy and active. Overall I would recommend Eridge House to anyone looking for a quality care home.

Heidi has a wealth of experience in the health and social care sector, including working as a manager of a care home prior to becoming the proprietor of Eridge House.

In Heidi's words... I have had the privilege of owning Eridge House since 1988. I have lived in Bexhill for most of my life and for ten years I held the post as a trustee for two local charities which I found most rewarding. One of my biggest achievements is seeing the development of Eridge House from registration of fourteen in 1988 to that of forty-three older people today. Embracing the changing ways in which we work, and the diverse and skilled team led by our Directors and Managers.

In Laura's words... My first ever job was at Eridge House as a teenager. I went on to become a Care Assistant here, obtained my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and after a few years away I returned as manager in 2018 until 2022 alongside Nicole. I thoroughly enjoyed my role here as manager and am thrilled to remain working at Eridge House, now in the role of Director. I have achieved my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care and have experience working in both a care home setting and as a domiciliary care provider. Working at Eridge House has always felt special.
