My father recently moved into Eridge House at the beginning of July , the stress related to finding the correct home for your loved ones can obviously be very difficult and overwhelming hoping that you are finding the right place for them . I was fortunate to already have some guidance from outside sources regarding this home on how well it is run and how friendly and caring their staff and management are . My father has now been there for just over 3 months and I could not wish for a better home to care for him , the staff seem to be more like a family than just a care home and the whole experience in the home from both a visitors and a residents point of view is so friendly and welcoming , I know that my father has improved both his mental health and his physical health since moving into the home and wouldn't want to be anywhere else , I would highly recommend this home and believe all the staff deserve recognition for all their hard work in making this home so well run.

Overall Experience

My mother has now resided at Eridge House for the last 15 months as a permanent resident. Although she had a shaky start with settling in and getting used to life in a carehome through no fault of her own due to mild Dementia and memory problems it was the staffs total dedication to her welfare that pulled her through. From management to hands-on staff, not once have I felt worried in any area of mums care. She is always spotlessly clean as is her room and toilet, and the food is nothing but amazing , in fact the smell of cooking when you walk in just makes the whole environment feel more like a 5 star country hotel rather than a carehome. The continuous entertainment and workshops provided during the days is incredible and when the animals turn up it's smiles all round especially from my mum . In all I cannot recommend Eridge House enough and if you are lucky enough to get a residency there for yourself or a member of your family you've definitely won the lottery.

Eridge is a fabulous home-from-home when support, kindness and care is required. The staff are professional, attentive, friendly and compassionate.
My parents moved into Eridge care home together, both in their nineties. They needed a full and diverse range of personal and physical care, and the wonderful staff were gracious and compassionate, as well as skilled and efficient. My parents were very happy there.
The food and mealtimes were friendly and enjoyable as well as delicious and nutritious. There are a variety of activities offered most days, so there is company and interest if required.

I can't recommend this home highly enough. I was amazed, thankful and so happy to visit. All the staff are welcoming and professional; they are amazing people and a great team. All my parent's medical needs were managed professionally, but there is also a sparkle and warmth - that is the core of it for me. Perfect.

I feel my nan is very well looked after, nan is always smiling. The activities were amazing when the Activities Coordinator did it. I know the staff are tying their best with activities and maybe they are being done at different times I just haven't seen as much. Overall I am very happy with everything. The staff are very friendly and informative. I definitely recommend the home. Some staff are better at updates than others and some do not acknowledge you.

Eridge House was initially respite care for my mother, but she has now become a permanent resident. She says she loves it and it gives her confidence knowing she has someone 24/7 and never alone. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and well cared for. As a family we feel very lucky that she was accepted as a permanent resident knowing all her needs are met and she is in a safe caring environment.

When I was looking for a care home for my uncle I looked at a good few before visiting Eridge House, and what a find, it was a real gem of a place. As soon as I set foot inside there was a friendly family atmosphere and I knew that this was the place he would soon call 'home' and I was right. He settled quickly. the staff were delightful and caring, not only the care staff but the office and kitchen staff too, they all treated him as they would their own family. Eridge House is very homely with a large lounge and conservatory and they do so much with the residents such as quizzes, bingo and regular visitors and entertainers. Right to the end the staff supported and cared for my uncle through his last days. I would not hesitate to recommend Eridge House as a home for your loved ones.

What a gem of a care home Eridge House is. From the moment I stepped through the door I knew this was the place I wanted my uncle to live. I feel extremely fortunate that he was accepted as a resident. It is home from home. The staff are so kind caring and supportive towards him. The food was good quality, home cooked lots of choice. We were offered food when visiting as well. Always so much going on in the home, activities arranged daily, exercise classes, music dancing, quizzes, and visiting pets to name a few. The management team were impressive with their professional approach and friendliness.

My mother, aged 93, has been living at Eridge for a year. As I live at quite a distance away it has been comforting knowing she is happy and well cared for, with wonderful staff, lots of new friends, and quality home-cooked food.

Mum's working life included many years as a carer herself. She was brilliant at that job and would not have settled for anything less than what Eridge House provides. Every time I visit (including very recently) she has reaffirmed the decision she made to live there, backed by my sisters and I. We are all so happy that we have done the best for our mum, as she had done for us.

I needed to find a convalescent/care facility for my previously fully independent mother after she sustained a stroke. I was personally recommend to contact Eridge House based on its reputation for home-from-home care and very kind, empathetic and well-trained staff. From the moment I picked up the phone and called their manager I have been so impressed with every aspect of the care service Eridge House provides. My mother has complex and changing care needs which Eridge House have taken in their stride with compassion and professionalism. She is very happy in their care. I would highly recommend it.

In Heidi's words... I have had the privilege of owning Eridge House since 1988.
