It has been an incredible time for the staff of High Broom with the virus and all it's ugly friends that has caused so much upheaval everywhere but I have to say that they have not once flinched or faltered against the hard times no matter how stressful it seemed to be. (We did not notice anything) and I know the TLC to all the residents has been amazing. If I could award a score out of 100 it would be 112. The staff are just pure angels at High Broom Care home. There is no more that can be said.

Mum has been living in High Broom since June 2019 and the standard of care she has received has been second to none. There are always lots of staff around and from the kitchen staff to the gardener, they all take time to chat with the residents and make the visitors welcome which is lovely. The activity coordinators are constantly thinking up new events for the residents to be involved in. The staff have been amazing since the lockdown and have kept in touch with the relatives which has been a great comfort as we have not been able to visit now for 3 months. They have worked really hard to keep the virus at bay and took the decision to shut the doors before the government advice was issued. Well done all at High Broom. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My mother has been a resident at High Broom Care Home for the last twelve years. She is extremely well cared for and looked after by all the staff who are all very attentive to her needs. There is a very "homely" atmosphere in the home which is very good for the residents. Relatives are always made very welcome and are well looked after too.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending High Broom as a safe and caring environment to live in.

The staff have always been incredibly friendly and welcoming. They show great attention to detail to make Gran feel safe and settled and communicate brilliantly about any issues. We feel very relieved that Gran is in such safe hands.

Mum has been at High Broom since February, and we are so grateful for the kind and compassionate care that she has received, especially during the recent, very difficult times. The staff always go out of the way to help and respond quickly to calls and emails. The food is lovely and all home-cooked. Mum enjoys the entertainment and the afternoon teas are always lovely. She has received nothing but the utmost care during her stay.

I feel so blessed that our time of greatest need High Broom were able to offer my mum a room. Mum has now been there for six months and she is safe and happy. I am a front line worker and have been so impressed with the way the home has been managed over the COVID-19 period. If not for the prompt and early lockdown and the staff restricting their movements, our families would not have been so safe. In my opinion, the manager has set the bench line for all care homes.
The staff are amazing, they show love and thought, they know the residents well, always smiling and this can only be led and nurtured from the top down.

Having nursed for 40 years and looked at many, many homes before Mum needed care, High Broom shone out far above the others mainly because of the staff and their interaction with the residents. It has always felt calm and comforting and the food is amazing.

My Mother has been a resident of High Broom for two years now and throughout her time, she has been cared for with kindness and compassion.
The entertainment caters for all abilities and interests, making a personal relationship with both staff and residences very special.
Since the Covid-19 virus started back in April, all residence families have been notified of High Brooms progress with updates weekly giving reassurance to all.
This was so important at this difficult time.
I can't recommend this care home any higher, not just for the food quality, variety as well and worldwide dishes too!

Beautiful grounds to walk in or just sit and look at for all.

Embraced my fathers very individual needs with humour and enthusiasm. Constantly met the challenge to keep him physically active and involved, requiring thinking outside the box. Continually evolving their dementia support to cope with a wide range of mental decline including our father, who does not tick normal boxes or present in a more commonly acknowledged dementia fashion. Truly beautiful gardens and a non-institutional building which provides a proper homely atmosphere carefully overseen by resident cats. More independent living provided in delightful cottages within the grounds from which we benefited before a decline in mental capacity.

My Mum has been at High Brooms for 2-years, and I have absolutely no issues. The staff are amazing, their attention to detail is outstanding, and nothing is too much trouble. I couldn't be happier, especially when you hear such horror stories about care homes. My Mum is the least of my worries as I know she is safe, happy, and getting all the care she needs! Thank you all so very much.

My mother has been a resident for over 3-years and has been well looked after as her physical health has deteriorated due to old age and health complications.

As she has full-mental capacity, it has been good to see how staff have respected her independence and intelligence and given her the utmost care and attention when coping with her personal needs. I have found the manager to be excellent and always flexible, approachable and willing to respond to any queries we may have. The staff are very caring and work tirelessly to ensure everyone's needs are met and residents feel safe and secure. The home is bright, cheerful and very well maintained by a dedicated team. The activities put on for residents cater to a wide audience and range of abilities, special events are always special. The team deserve their Outstanding rating and myself and family are very appreciative of the hard work, support and kindness that they never fail to deliver.

The staff lead by the manager have been fantastic during lockdown. The decision was made to lockdown early and to date, they have been free from any infection (long may it continue). This was made possible because of the commitment of all the staff to make sure the residents remained safe while a sacrifice to their own freedom of movement and families, I am sure. High Broom has provided excellent care for both my Mum and Dad, who have different needs and requirements. The attention to detail and the continual monitoring and discussions with residents and family is excellent. The rooms are clean and bright with friendly staff on had to assist as and when needed or necessary. Last week was Mum's 100th Birthday and while we were not able to visit in person the staff arranged an excellent celebration for Mum and set up a zoom call for us all to celebrate together. The Birthday cake made by the kitchen team was fantastic. Thank you all at High Broom.

My Grandmother has lived here since May and she has settled extremely well. The staff are amazing, making you feel confident that she is well looked after. The home has a warm feel about it making it feel like home. As a visitor, you feel like one of the family. There are plenty of activities within the home that are made accessible to everyone if they wish to participate. I would highly recommend High Broom Care Home if you are looking for somewhere home from home with a warm feel.

I have known this resident for over 55 years. At ninety-two, and following a number of falls needing care. I try to visit once a week, and already know how special this home is. I cannot think of any negatives house, grounds and rooms are always clean and tidy.
However, the best comments relate to activities and staff. Activities twice daily and such wonderful caring staff, always smiling, always willing to help out, such a pleasure to visit and see how well my friend thrives here.

Let's hope when it's my turn I find somewhere half as good.

High Broom Care Home is always very tidy, clean and plenty of activities going on. The gardens are superb and well looked after. There is a low turnover of staff, which ensures good continuity of care and indicates the staff are happy as well as residents. If I needed to go into a care home, High Broom Care Home is one I would choose myself.
