Millcroft is a residential care home registered by the CQC offering accommodation and personal care for a maximum of 24 older people.

The home specialises in providing person-centred care to older people in a friendly environment with plenty of places to relax, the purpose-built home has the needs of older people in mind. Whether outside in the garden, or indoors in the dining room or conservatory, the home provides a safe environment for residents to live in.

Millcroft ensures residents have great meals which they all enjoy and offer variety of choices. Regular outings are arranged for residents to participate in, as well as a variety of daily activities which are suitable for all levels of ability, like knitting, reading and chair-based exercise.

My wife and I use the service for occasional days respite and find the staff polite and very helpful. The grounds and house are very pleasant and clean and well presented.
We all like Millcroft Carehome a lot.

I am extremely pleased with the care and professional services my mother receives. The care home provides a more personal approach to care than larger care homes, this is one of many reasons we picked this home for my 90-year-old mother. She can be very stubborn and needs a more personal approach to

My mum has regular respite at Millcroft, which is a relief for myself as her primary carer. My mum is mentally very well, but has very poor mobility. She does not like change, however, Millcroft is like a home from home. Mum is always greeted by staff with a warm smile, a cup of tea and a biscuit.
She is made to feel so welcome. When and if the time comes Mum needs full-time care I would not hesitate to place her in Millcroft. There are plenty of events and parties that Mum has attended whilst on respite. The staff and the manager go above and beyond to make her stay as pleasant as they can and for this I am eternally grateful. I would be lost without this gem of a home. Other residents are treated with dignity and respect, and whilst they are occasional challenging behaviours from some residents, Mum always says, staff deal with these situations well and has nothing but praise for the staffing team.

My father has only been in Millcroft for a month, but the change in him is amazing.
He was absolutely against being in a home but he has settled so well due to the high standards of care he is receiving.
Other family members have visited him and agree with me that it feels more like a family unit
as the other residents are content and appear very happy.
The food is excellent (my father is fussy)!
I cannot praise the staff and management enough as the weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I know Dad is safe and happy.

Lovely little home, staff very welcoming and extremely kind, lucky they had a room when my parent needed care to be discharged from hospital. Very happy. Food and activities, excellent. Lovely garden for residents too.

A friend of 96 years old decided it was time to seek a residential home. Many places were visited but none were suitable. Millcroft when visited did meet all requirements with a homely feel. The staff were very friendly and the room offered was nice. Eighteen months have passed and all have met with
satisfaction. She now treats Millcroft as home and has a good rapport with the staff. A number of events and parties are held during the year to which family and friends are invited. There are also mini bus outings twice a week to places of interest which she enjoys. She finds meals are good and varied and orders from a menu, in a well organised dining room. The attention given by staff and management are excellent. Overall a very good venue and staff.

My mother was admitted into Millcroft care home at the start of Covid, and therefore we had no choice as to where she was able to go. However, I am so happy with Millcroft and the lovely staff there, that I would not have been able to choose a better home for my mother. My mother has now been there
for almost three years and is very content.

My mother moved into Millcroft in June 2022. The staff and manager were very welcoming and she has settled in very well. The home is very quiet and the facilities are good. Any issues I have had have been very quickly resolved by the staff who are very visible and helpful.

The staff at Millcroft are awesome. My mum is a new resident and of course, we were hesitant but the staff are attentive and very communicative with both me my family and most of all my mum. The house itself is a bit tired looking but it is clean and the residents have a wonderful decked area overlooking
the local countryside. Mum's room is clean and she has her personal stuff with her including her own chair. She says the food is nice and that she is treated well. We can visit (even with COVID) we test before and wear PPE but are allowed to interact with her, which is super for all of us. I can't recommend enough.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. My mom spent her last 2 months at Millcroft, and the care well exceeded any expectation. She was very happy, loved the staff, who not only were always promptly there when needed but also helped with high spirits, uplifting.
If ever I raised any
concern, I was impressed by the personal care and attention by the senior manager. Never a problem, usually already resolved.
I could always rest assured that mom was in the best care. If ever I were to reach a stage of needing care, this would be my unreserved choice.

At first glance the facilities look 'tired' (it is an old building) and some circulation areas seem a bit cramped. However, very quickly the positive things shine through. Every member of staff is friendly and caring (as well as maintaining a sense of humour). Even though many occupants are not in the
best of health when you speak to many of them they clearly appreciate the staff as well. My father recently passed away in this facility (after several months residency with them and after the hospital gave up on him) and they couldn't have been nicer in the way they looked after him for the last few weeks. I had no hesitation in asking them to look after my Mum on a permanent basis. When you discuss things with them the staff all come across as genuine caring people.

My mum and dad have both been at Millcroft since 2018 and on every visit, they tell us how well they are being looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always very friendly and upbeat. They have adapted the level of care required for my mum as her mobility gradually got worse. I researched
a lot of homes in the area before selecting Millcroft and we have all been very happy that we made the right choice.
