At first glance the facilities look 'tired' (it is an old building) and some circulation areas seem a bit cramped. However, very quickly the positive things shine through. Every member of staff is friendly and caring (as well as maintaining a sense of humour). Even though many occupants are not in the best of health when you speak to many of them they clearly appreciate the staff as well. My father recently passed away in this facility (after several months residency with them and after the hospital gave up on him) and they couldn't have been nicer in the way they looked after him for the last few weeks. I had no hesitation in asking them to look after my Mum on a permanent basis. When you discuss things with them the staff all come across as genuine caring people.

My mum and dad have both been at Millcroft since 2018 and on every visit, they tell us how well they are being looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always very friendly and upbeat. They have adapted the level of care required for my mum as her mobility gradually got worse. I researched a lot of homes in the area before selecting Millcroft and we have all been very happy that we made the right choice.

Millcroft is just like a "family home" and is run as one. Each resident needs are individually addressed. The staff are always friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. They make themselves available at all times for discussing queries etc and the home is always fully staffed. Also, everywhere in the home is spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. Residents appear happy and comfortable and are treated with respect and dignity. The only criticism I have is activities are poor and needs more input from the organiser.

I think the home is very nice, my mother is well looked after. Most of the staff are very nice and hard workers. I do wish there were more activities, we were always made aware of what is happening.

My mother has been at Millcroft for about one year, myself, sister and family are pleased with the overall standard at Millcroft.

The staff are efficient but still friendly and approachable, all in all, a well-run team by the management.

My father has been treated with kindness, consideration and respect whilst at Millcroft.
All areas are always clean and well decorated. It has a welcoming, homely feel.

There is not a large staff turnover, so my father seems secure in knowing the staff well and them him.

My Mum stayed at Millcroft for more than a year. I am so grateful with the care the staff provided to my Mum during her stay at Millcroft. They gave me my Mum back, they helped my Mum to get back to her feet again. I witnessed how staff cared for everyone in the home, no matter what time of the day, they always smiling. The place is like a home away from home. A marvellous team, good and friendly atmosphere. Once again thank you for the care you all provided by my Mum.
