My father-in-law was at Mountside, and as a family, we were really happy with everything. The activities were great, and he had a lot of fun. Also, we could see so much on their social media site, and it gave us things to talk about with him on the phone. I would definitely recommend.

My Aunty was here on respite. Really nice place, friendly staff, good food (so she tells me). I visited once and everyone seemed happy and relaxed. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Everyone does a great job.

I came to visit the other day and felt compelled to leave a review. I just read an article in the newspaper about people being forced out of hospitals and into care homes. Well from my experience at Mountside, I just want to ask why that’s a bad things? My great-aunt has been in hospital many times
over the last few years and it’s always terrible and she always cries about wanting to go home. But since she’s been at Mountside, she’s so happy and free and is getting so much help and support. These guys are doing a fantastic job and we really should be highlighting what a fantastic place it is!

The standard of care for my father at Mountside is exceptional. The carers really care, and the management is on hand to answer any questions and help where appropriate. The admin team are also very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The entertainment programme is stimulating. I would recommend
this care home to anyone.

My mum moved to Mountside approximately 6 months ago. This was a difficult move for my mum, due to her declining mobility and dementia, in addition to the difficulties she experiences with her mental health. It took Mum some time to come to terms with her new home and to settle and she could become
frustrated with staff. However, at all times she has been treated with the utmost care and respect by all members of staff.
Staff members have also been good at keeping me up to date on matters and they are always so friendly when I go to visit mum.
I cannot thank Mountside enough for their care of mum, it has been a huge weight off my mind to know how well she is being looked after.

Mum has resided at Mountside Residential Home for five years now. The management and staff has totally changed over the past three years. Covid was worrying however we were able to talk to Mum via video calls. The staff kept us informed how Mum was doing and we could get things she needed for her daily
routine, although we could not visit. We visit Mum on a regular basis now and we’ve always found the home clean and the food menu is varied. You can pop in at any time to visit. They have games, films, bingo, singsongs and craft afternoons which Mum can join in if she wants. Having to go into a care home is not ideal but Mum couldn’t cope on her own and needed constant help. We know she is cared for by the staff and has banter with them on her good days. Her room is lovely and she’s able to have her family photos around her. I am very happy to recommend Mountside Residential Home. If Mum's happy so our we.

My father has been at Mountside for three years. He has always been well cared for and is happy with his life at the home. He enjoys the food particularly. He has a very nice room and is very comfortable. All the staff are very caring and considerate. I have peace of mind to know that he is in a safe,

My mother is very happy there because she feels safe. It is very friendly staff go the extra mile and provide a wide range of activities. The room is lovely with a lovely view of beautiful grounds. I'm glad we chose this home. Mum also loves the little dog who is very friendly.

My mum is at Mountside and is really happy. I don’t live that close to her, so I only get to see her a couple of times a month so I am really happy that she settled well and is well looked after. The activities look fantastic - keep it up!

Now that I am at uni, I don't get to see nan as often as I used to. But I still come and visit when I am home for the holidays, and I speak to her on the phone during the week. She is happy and comfortable and never has a negative word. She likes the food, the company and the activities. She says the

I have just come to visit my friend for the first time and it is just wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and nice and helpful. The way they cared about me and my day, made me think about how much they care for all the people that live there day in day out. Good work!

Mum spent three years at Mountside and was always treated with the utmost respect by all staff who attended to her needs. She spoke so highly of everybody and embraced them as her extended family. With mild dementia and complicated health issues, she needed constant maintenance care, and this allowed
her to live a full life in the home, enjoying an array of activities, visits and trips out. At her request, her end-of-life care was administered both sensitively and efficiently by the Mountside staff, and she passed peacefully in familiar, comfortable surroundings. The caring staff of Mountside did not fail her, and now, under better management and leadership, it can truly thrive.

What a lovely place. Everyone is very friendly and the other people living there are a hoot. It is nice to get a sense of community in there. We have no issues visiting and have no issues when we are there. Well done all!

Mum was a permanent resident at Mountside Residential Home from September 2020 to December 2022.
The staff were extremely helpful, caring, professional and friendly right across the board.
Her room was lovely, clean and bright. There was lots of entertainment and activities arranged with the staff
all going the extra mile. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mountside to anyone looking for residential care for a loved one.

My widowed father was admitted last November after a hospitalisation. I feel his care and treatment have been very good in this time. I visit twice weekly.
Previously my mother, sadly now deceased, had been a resident for a few weeks convalescence following a hospital stay.

I just had to say something. This home has had its ups and downs but I have to say, I am so pleased how things are improving. The communication from the management and the staff to the relatives (who pass it on to us friends) and to my friend who lives there, is just fantastic now. I think all of us

I found the staff to be excellent. They were extremely helpful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. However, I had difficulties every day with the senior team who tried to make me take the incorrect medication every day for my week's stay. One person even said he was going to report me. They would
not be able to report me to my GP. I had two patches to be placed each day in different areas of the body. At first, they were placed on my back but then I told them it should have been on one of my legs.
The food was not very good. I ate soup that was tasteless. Nothing fresh. Thick apple crumble, a piece of fish which was less than or no more than three inches, cooked in butter sauce. Orange juice very weak. Tea and coffee tasted awful!

I can't say that I came to visit my uncle that much when he was here but on the odd occasion that I did, I really liked the atmosphere. Everyone was kind and helpful and very nice to us. My uncle always said very positive things and seemed to very happy and relaxed. It is a hard decision to move into
a care home but my uncle looked like he was at home and that is all you can ask for.
