My father has been a permanent resident at Mountside for about six months and is happy there. The staff are helpful, caring and friendly. His room is lovely, and my family and I believe he is safe and in good hands.

My widowed father was admitted last November after a hospitalisation. I feel his care and treatment have been very good in this time. I visit twice weekly.

Previously my mother, sadly now deceased, had been a resident for a few weeks convalescence following a hospital stay.

I just had to say something. This home has had its ups and downs but I have to say, I am so pleased how things are improving. The communication from the management and the staff to the relatives (who pass it on to us friends) and to my friend who lives there, is just fantastic now. I think all of us around the home are very happy with the staff, who just do such an unbelievable job. Thank you!

I found the staff to be excellent. They were extremely helpful and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. However, I had difficulties every day with the senior team who tried to make me take the incorrect medication every day for my week's stay. One person even said he was going to report me. They would not be able to report me to my GP. I had two patches to be placed each day in different areas of the body. At first, they were placed on my back but then I told them it should have been on one of my legs.

The food was not very good. I ate soup that was tasteless. Nothing fresh. Thick apple crumble, a piece of fish which was less than or no more than three inches, cooked in butter sauce. Orange juice very weak. Tea and coffee tasted awful!

I can't say that I came to visit my uncle that much when he was here but on the odd occasion that I did, I really liked the atmosphere. Everyone was kind and helpful and very nice to us. My uncle always said very positive things and seemed to very happy and relaxed. It is a hard decision to move into a care home but my uncle looked like he was at home and that is all you can ask for.

My mother and I met the manager and another lady at the hospital after my mothers fall and now being 98-years-old, decided she would now go into care. They said it was 'home from home' and that it definitely is. It's wonderful and caring, all staff seem to take their jobs to a different level, and we are just so happy to know Mum is safe and being extremely well looked after. Thank you to everyone.

Mountside has done a brilliant job during the lockdown. They have kept Mum safe and secure. They have really improved their communication with family members through the use of Facebook and making Facetime calls available.

My brother lived at Mountside for a year, and I have to say, it was great to see him so happy and relaxed. It was very sad for us that he had to move to a home, but once he had settled, it had brought back his old glow and charm. He always said he was well cared for, and the building was beautiful. We are so happy that he managed to get another year of being himself again after struggling so much at home. He always loved the weekly bingo!

A friend of mine lived at Mountside for 3-years up until early this year. I came to visit her when I could, and I was always very happy with how the staff treated you and how they were to the other people that lived there. Everyone looked so happy, and my friend did say to me that she was happy living there. It is a shame now that she isn't there, so I won't be visiting anymore, as I will miss having little chats with the other people that live there.

My friend has been in Mountside for 2 years now and I can't fault how she has been looked after. There are a lot of activities if she wants to join in (mostly she doesn't but they are there if she does) with other residents. Her being in Mountside puts my mind at rest that she is safe and warm. I speak to my friend every evening and I haven't heard her complain about anything. So on that note thank you.

The manager, deputy manage rand staff are very friendly and committed to looking after the residents. My mother is happy at Mountside. During the coronavirus lockdown, Mountside has bought a mobile device and I have been able to make Facetime video calls to my mother. Brilliant.

My aunt was a resident for two years so I had no problems in recommending Mountside when my friend was suddenly in need of care. I have been impressed with the standard of care given to all the residents.
The staff are friendly and efficient and my friend has had very few causes for any concern. The food appears to be good with few exceptions which is due to individual tastes.

On the whole, I consider Mountside a good place to reside. I am 83 and I would have no qualms if I were to live there!

My aunt has lived at Mountside for about five years now, including the time of Coronavirus. They have been helpful at all times, from management through all staff. Entertainment is enjoyable and relevant, arranged by an entertainment person who goes beyond the task, is thoughtful, kind and professional. Throughout Coronavirus, I have been able to speak with my aunt and assured by management at all times, excellent.

My mum has been a resident in Mountside for the past 11 years and I cannot speak highly enough about the care she is receiving. The staff are very professional but also very caring. During this Covid pandemic, they have gone above and beyond to ensure that all the residents have been extremely well looked after, at a time which has been very distressing to them as they have not been able to receive visitors in person. The management and staff, through their prompt action in locking down very early, have ensured that all of our vulnerable relatives have stayed safe and for this, we will be eternally grateful. They have kept the residents’ spirits up with additional entertainment and treats and they have kept us informed every step of the way by email, Facebook videos and pictures and have enabled us to contact mum on FaceTime.

My family and I are all so glad that mum is a resident in such a lovely, caring home where we know she is safe and very well looked after.

Mountside is a very friendly and caring home. They have coped extremely well with the Covid situation keeping relatives up to date with the situation at all times.
Activities for residents are frequent and have carried on during the pandemic with some entertainment being held in the outside areas where possible.

Staff are all approachable and work very hard to care for the residents.

A very dear friend was admitted last month he had to move from another care home, but due to the increase in fees/new management, he could not afford to stay although he was very happy there. Moving to Mountside Residential Home was, therefore, distressing for him. However, within a week that all changed he loved it! The care is beyond expectation, the food/meals are freshly cooked and delicious. The activities are planned throughout each month. My friend could not be happier and we as family and friends are absolutely delighted. Thank You.
