Mum recently moved in. Super happy. Relieved. They are looking after her and its a nice, safe space for her to be whilst we figure out the long term plan. Felt that I couldn't leave her at all over the last year when she was at home, now she's at Mountside, I can take a much-needed break myself.

The rest of my family have encouraged that I leave a review on behalf of all of us. We have a family member that was stuck in hospital for a couple of months and fortunately was temporarily discharged to Mountside earlier this year. It was great to get him out of the hospital environment where he was
in bed day in day out. It took some getting used to him being in a care home, but it was really helpful to see him interact with others and encouraged to get out of his room and amongst the other residents. It was also great for us because we no longer had to adhere to strict visiting times and expensive hospital parking! This proved a great solution to us all until he was ready to move elsewhere.

I found this care home to be pleasant and homely. Staff were approachable and always on hand to assist with any issues raised. My mother felt comfortable and at home after only a few days at this facility. All in all a good choice and would go back if required in the future.

My mother went into The Old Rectory Care Home on July 24th 2025. This was after three falls at home and although did not have to be hospitalised she was unsafe to live independently at home. She is 98 and had lived in her home for 65 years. I have been very impressed by the help I have received, and
she has received in this difficult transition. The managers, staff and care is excellent and very professional. Also it is extremely clean. Nothing is too much trouble. A lovely atmosphere.

This is a really good care home. The people are incredibly friendly and there's lots going on. I really like how things seem to be suited to each person and I'm very happy to recommend Mountside. It's not easy seeing a loved one go into a care home but places like this make you feel at ease.

I have been here for three weeks now and generally, I am very happy. Most of the staff are extremely kind and very helpful. I wish they could spend a little more time helping us but I realise that they are very busy. My problem is the cost, it is very expensive and I hope my money lasts but that remains
to be seen.

Really good place. Helped with my dad's short term needs where he needed to go into a care home. He was happy and came back home having had a nice rest that allowed him to rest and recuperate. I would recommend.

My Mother was in Fairways for approx 3 years with dementia, it took her quite a long time to settle in. She made a number of attempts to leave and could be aggressive but the staff treated her with great understanding and kindness. Making many adjustments to keep her safe. My Mother became unsteady
on her feet, fell and broken her leg, after a stay in hospital she returned to Fairways. At this time she lost her appetite and refused to eat. The staff tried very hard to get her to eat, buying special things that they knew she liked. The staff took all possible precaution to avoid a fall but she fell again in her bedroom and broke her leg. My Mother never cooperated with hospital staff, she would constantly try to get out of bed and was a danger to herself. Fairways could not meet her need anymore because she needed Nursing care.We were always made very welcome whenever we visited the home, the staff on the floor were exceptional in their treatment of my Mother and our family.

The Ole Rectory Care Home is an excellent home. The management is effective and always approachable. There is a good team spirit among the staff, the members of which are all very positive and kind, as well as being practical in their care of the residents. Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean daily and
sanitised regularly. I am happy here and comfortable, and I am looked after very well.

Over the past six months mum has settled in and become part of the Fairways family. The atmosphere in the care home is always warm and welcoming. Mum enjoys the home cooked food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff as they attend to the personal care and social needs of their residents. Singing
and dancing are very popular and the latest craft creations adorn the walls. The challenge mum faces with her dementia is met with care, respect and patience with some fun along the way. Her days are now bright!

My wife entered Fairways Care 9th October 2022. I have seen the way all the staff work and care for residents, all very good. I visit my wife nearly every day and I am happy at how she is looked after. I have absolutely no negative comments at all. Of course I miss my wife being at home with me but
know that she is in a caring home. Our four adult children are very happy that she is where she is and receiving good care.
