My mum went to mountside after breaking her hip and was no longer able to live alone, the care and love mum has received here is amazing all the staff are so happy and attentive and very helpful, my mum loves it there.

The staff are always friendly and courteous and my mother is treated with dignity and respect. They are always welcoming when I visit the home and I know that she is safely looked after in their care.

My father-in-law was here recently. He was well looked after. We were happy. Allowed us a chance to sit back and not be worried. Allowed him to be in a safe and secure environment. People were all lovely and helped him. I only visited once, but the rest of the family were always very happy.

2 of my elderly cousins have been cared for by the excellent team at Fairways. The care, and staff have always been great, and their communication and engagement with me has been excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Fairways to anyone considering respite or long term care.

We've been really happy with how Mountside have looked after mum. She's safe and well looked after. Lots of people for her to get involved with (whether she does or not is up to her!!). But it is really invaluable for us and takes a huge pressure off our shoulders

I am confident that my Mother is well cared for in a safe, clean & comfortable environment. The staff are all friendly and approachable and focused on the residents well-being. They know the residents well, treat them with respect and kindness, whilst not forgetting to inject a bit of fun! There have been a number of occasions in the past year where Mother's health has deteriorated and the staff have been very quick to respond to her needs and called on external support if and when needed. They have always been very prompt in contacting me so that I am fully informed and I cannot thank them enough for their care and diligence. Mother says the food is good, she likes all her meals, she enjoys the company of the friends she has made and she loves her room, which she says is the best one!

My mother arrived from the hospital to the home and was made very welcome and put at ease. It was my first visit to the home and the staff let me wait for my mother's arrival and showed me around. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

My Dad has been at Mountside since November 2025 and he is very settled and happy. The staff quickly got to know him, understand his needs and make him feel at home. There are always fun and engaging activities on across the day to stimulate the brain and keep positivity flowing. The staff really care and make time to talk and work together with Dad and the family as a team to ensure Dad is comfortable and thriving. Life when you get older is not easy but Mountside staff are so kind, caring and professional and nothing is too much trouble for them. They always go the extra mile to make sure Dad has his needs met, with good communication including Social Media. I would highly recommend them to other families based on our experience.

My brother has settled in and he's now happy. He is receiving perfect care. He is kept clean and really enjoys the food a lot. He loves the daily activities. He is very happy with the staff. He likes how bright the care home is.

My mother became a resident of Fairways in August 2025. The whole team at Fairways have been incredibly welcoming. I can't believe how well my mother has become since she arrived, how quickly she has settled in and how happy she is. The kindness of the team and the genuine respect, care and affection they show for all the residents has made me and my family feel a profound and tremendous sense of relief regarding our decision to choose Fairways. They have an amazing cook, my mother has put on weight and really enjoys the food. Before she went in she had been malnourished and I couldn't get her to eat or take care of herself. They have supported me and my family through the most difficult time, making us feel welcome and I really love visiting my mum, everyone at Fairways makes me feel so welcome and the other residents make me feel welcome too. It's like gaining a whole new amazing family. I absolutely wish I had enough space here to personally name every member of team Fairways

She finally left at the end of October 2025 as she suffered a stroke

Mountside Care Home have gone over and beyond the care and love that they have shown my mum over the last two years, from the nurses, care assistants, domestic staff and voluntary staff. I cannot thank them enough for all the care that they have shown her. They are true heroes. They not only care and help the residents but also the family through the darkest of times. It is like a home from home and mum has enjoyed her golden years with them. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone that works there is a friend to you. I would strongly recommend Mountside Care Home to anyone who needs a care home for their loved ones. It is hard when the time comes to put our loved ones into a Care Home but they made the transaction with care and dignity to both mum and myself.

I am not with my father all the time so hard to fully answer some questions. However from what I see when I visit and my dealing with staff I'm overall very satisfied my dad is being well cared for.

I have been very impressed with the total package provided by Mountside Residential Home. The carers are generally polite, helpful and smile. Meals have been interesting and enough. The tea/coffee trolley service is excellent. Finding the breakfast room (using the lifts) was difficult at first but staff are willing to help. The laundry service is also excellent.

Mum recently moved in. Super happy. Relieved. They are looking after her and its a nice, safe space for her to be whilst we figure out the long term plan. Felt that I couldn't leave her at all over the last year when she was at home, now she's at Mountside, I can take a much-needed break myself.

The rest of my family have encouraged that I leave a review on behalf of all of us. We have a family member that was stuck in hospital for a couple of months and fortunately was temporarily discharged to Mountside earlier this year. It was great to get him out of the hospital environment where he was in bed day in day out. It took some getting used to him being in a care home, but it was really helpful to see him interact with others and encouraged to get out of his room and amongst the other residents. It was also great for us because we no longer had to adhere to strict visiting times and expensive hospital parking! This proved a great solution to us all until he was ready to move elsewhere.

I found this care home to be pleasant and homely. Staff were approachable and always on hand to assist with any issues raised. My mother felt comfortable and at home after only a few days at this facility. All in all a good choice and would go back if required in the future.
