I am confident that my Mother is well cared for in a safe, clean & comfortable environment. The staff are all friendly and approachable and focused on the residents well-being. They know the residents well, treat them with respect and kindness, whilst not forgetting to inject a bit of fun! There have
been a number of occasions in the past year where Mother's health has deteriorated and the staff have been very quick to respond to her needs and called on external support if and when needed. They have always been very prompt in contacting me so that I am fully informed and I cannot thank them enough for their care and diligence. Mother says the food is good, she likes all her meals, she enjoys the company of the friends she has made and she loves her room, which she says is the best one!

My mother arrived from the hospital to the home and was made very welcome and put at ease. It was my first visit to the home and the staff let me wait for my mother's arrival and showed me around. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

My mother became a resident of Fairways in August 2025. The whole team at Fairways have been incredibly welcoming. I can't believe how well my mother has become since she arrived, how quickly she has settled in and how happy she is. The kindness of the team and the genuine respect, care and affection
they show for all the residents has made me and my family feel a profound and tremendous sense of relief regarding our decision to choose Fairways. They have an amazing cook, my mother has put on weight and really enjoys the food. Before she went in she had been malnourished and I couldn't get her to eat or take care of herself. They have supported me and my family through the most difficult time, making us feel welcome and I really love visiting my mum, everyone at Fairways makes me feel so welcome and the other residents make me feel welcome too. It's like gaining a whole new amazing family. I absolutely wish I had enough space here to personally name every member of team Fairways

I found this care home to be pleasant and homely. Staff were approachable and always on hand to assist with any issues raised. My mother felt comfortable and at home after only a few days at this facility. All in all a good choice and would go back if required in the future.

My mother went into The Old Rectory Care Home on July 24th 2025. This was after three falls at home and although did not have to be hospitalised she was unsafe to live independently at home. She is 98 and had lived in her home for 65 years. I have been very impressed by the help I have received, and
she has received in this difficult transition. The managers, staff and care is excellent and very professional. Also it is extremely clean. Nothing is too much trouble. A lovely atmosphere.

I have been here for three weeks now and generally, I am very happy. Most of the staff are extremely kind and very helpful. I wish they could spend a little more time helping us but I realise that they are very busy. My problem is the cost, it is very expensive and I hope my money lasts but that remains
to be seen.

My Mother was in Fairways for approx 3 years with dementia, it took her quite a long time to settle in. She made a number of attempts to leave and could be aggressive but the staff treated her with great understanding and kindness. Making many adjustments to keep her safe. My Mother became unsteady
on her feet, fell and broken her leg, after a stay in hospital she returned to Fairways. At this time she lost her appetite and refused to eat. The staff tried very hard to get her to eat, buying special things that they knew she liked. The staff took all possible precaution to avoid a fall but she fell again in her bedroom and broke her leg. My Mother never cooperated with hospital staff, she would constantly try to get out of bed and was a danger to herself. Fairways could not meet her need anymore because she needed Nursing care.We were always made very welcome whenever we visited the home, the staff on the floor were exceptional in their treatment of my Mother and our family.

The Ole Rectory Care Home is an excellent home. The management is effective and always approachable. There is a good team spirit among the staff, the members of which are all very positive and kind, as well as being practical in their care of the residents. Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean daily and
sanitised regularly. I am happy here and comfortable, and I am looked after very well.

Over the past six months mum has settled in and become part of the Fairways family. The atmosphere in the care home is always warm and welcoming. Mum enjoys the home cooked food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff as they attend to the personal care and social needs of their residents. Singing
and dancing are very popular and the latest craft creations adorn the walls. The challenge mum faces with her dementia is met with care, respect and patience with some fun along the way. Her days are now bright!

My wife entered Fairways Care 9th October 2022. I have seen the way all the staff work and care for residents, all very good. I visit my wife nearly every day and I am happy at how she is looked after. I have absolutely no negative comments at all. Of course I miss my wife being at home with me but
know that she is in a caring home. Our four adult children are very happy that she is where she is and receiving good care.

My dad has been a resident now for 6 months, we have found the home to be a welcoming and safe environment. The staff are all pleasant and always attentive.
Certainly from my dad's perspective, he seems more than happy residing at the home. Food and drink are plentiful and always an activity taking
place which he will sometimes, with persuasion, take part in.

My mum and dad both lived in The Old Rectory together for 3 years, my mum on her own for 1 year. My dad loved the food and his chats with the staff, he felt safe. My mum loved the company of staff and residents. She would enjoy the entertainment always joining in. It was a place she could be herself.
When my mum passed away we stayed in the home with my mum for 4 days and nights. The staff were amazing they fed us and held our hands when needed. Can not thank them enough.
