Roselands is a very special place. My brother was withdrawn prior to his admission. While there, he enjoyed sitting in the dayroom and eating meals in the dining room, plus going out on excursions in their minibus. Roselands was his home. He was happy there. It is a very special place.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It really touches the heart. It means the world to hear that your brother found comfort, connection, and happiness during his time with us. Seeing someone feel at home, especially after being withdrawn, is something we never take for granted. We're truly grateful for your words and for the trust you placed in us.
My late mother's dear friend has been a resident at Roselands since May 2025. Having spent a few weeks in another care facility, she was barely getting out of bed. On arrival at Roselands, she was 'walked' to the toilet (absolutely amazing as she had spent so long in bed previously), and was then taken to the dining room for lunch. Such a difference. Since then, she gets up and dressed and spends the best part of the day in the day room with the other residents. The food is very good indeed and I am also furnished with sandwiches and tea if I arrive during tea time. The staff are friendly, genuinely caring, and tend to her every need. Wonderful. Thank you Roselands.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It really speaks volumes. It's incredibly moving to hear when someone finds their spark again, especially after such a difficult period. Seeing that kind of positive change reminds us why this kind of care matters so deeply. Your kind words about the warmth and...
I have no complaints at all; my mum is very well cared for. I can visit anytime I want. Mum is always clean, as is her room. The carers are friendly and approachable. They do a lot of activities, but unfortunately, mum will not join in. They make birthdays special.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's lovely to hear that you feel reassured and welcomed when you visit, and that your mum is being cared for with such consistency and respect. Even if she doesn't join in with everything, it's good to know the team still make the effort to celebrate the moments that matter. Your trust really means a lot.
Any medical problems are dealt with promptly, and we are kept informed of any progress. We try to see him at least once a week, so we know if he has any grievances, which are nil.
He has been there since December 2023.
Thank you for sharing this. It really means a lot. It's so reassuring to hear how well things have settled, especially after such a difficult transition. Knowing that he feels safe, cared for, and content day-to-day is exactly what matters most. We're really grateful for your trust, and so glad the experience has felt right for both him and your family.
Mum is cared for by wonderful, kind and friendly carers. She is listened to and reassured when she is feeling confused. Her family are welcomed when they visit and we all feel she is well looked after. Roselands is a very homely place and the residents are treated with dignity and respect. There are plenty of activities and entertainment arranged along with outings to local amenities. We are very happy with the Care Home and the way it is managed.
Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful message. It's lovely to hear that the care, warmth, and sense of home are being felt, not just by those being looked after, but by family too. Feeling listened to, reassured, and welcomed makes all the difference, and we're so glad that's come through. We really appreciate your kind words and continued trust.
Wonderful care here. Nice staff, who are always smiling and attentive. There are lots of activities inside and outside the building. Lovely environment. Best home we have ever experienced. We feel so lucky to have found Roselands!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to know the care, atmosphere, and daily life here have left such a positive impression. Creating a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely uplifting is something we really care about. We're so pleased it's felt like the right place.
The home goes over and beyond to be helpful and make my mum's stay and my visits enjoyable. The activities which are arranged daily are fun and very inclusive.
The rooms are clean and the gardens are lovely.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's lovely to hear that both you and your mom have felt comfortable and well supported. We know how important those everyday details are. Whether it's the atmosphere, the food, or just feeling welcomed when you visit, every detail matters. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we're glad the experience has felt positive all around.
We visited last year and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the home, and staff kindness toward mum and us
Thank you so much for your kind words. We understand how hard it can be to be far away from a loved one, so we're really happy that our communication and video calls help keep you connected with your mum. It's wonderful to hear that your visit left you feeling reassured about the care she's receiving. Your appreciation means a lot to the team, and we're grateful for your trust in us!
Dad has settled there now, thanks to the commitment of the staff. He is enjoying the activities, especially going out in the minibus and the visits from the animals. It gives me great peace of mind that he is safe and cared for as I live so far away.
It's so lovely to hear that your dad is enjoying his time with us. We know how important it is to have peace of mind, especially when you live far away, and we're really glad that you feel reassured knowing he's safe and well cared for. Thank you for sharing your kind words. It means a lot to us!
Sadly, the cost is rising at an alarming rate, ( more than 10% a year for the last 3 years). Nevertheless, I am trying to keep my mother here because I feel that the staff genuinely care - a vocation as well as a profession. For that reason alone, I would recommend Roselands.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. It's really lovely to hear about our team. It means a lot to us because that's exactly what we strive for every day. We completely understand your concerns, and we're always looking at ways to improve. Your feedback is truly valuable, and we'll certainly...
His stay was short but the care and attention he received was a credit to everyone.
The home is homely, which for us was lovely.
Nothing was too much trouble. Management and all staff were amazing.Thank you for making our dads stay a comfortable one.
We would highly recommend Rosewell

My Mum has been a resident at Roselands for over 2 years . We are absolutely delighted with all the support and care my Mum has received. She has absolutely flurrished since she has been there which is all down to the fantastic, caring, friendly staff we couldn't ask for anything better .
Thank you so much for your kind words! It's truly heartwarming to hear how much your mum has flourished during her time at Roselands. We take great pride in creating a warm and caring environment, so knowing she's happy and well-supported means the world to us. We're grateful for your trust and will continue to do our very best for her!
Both of my parents suffer with Alzheimer's and dementia and have been in care at Roselands.
From the day they went in I felt that the staff understood there needs and provided the care they required which only deepened as they got to know them and their own idiosyncrasies.
My father passed away in their care and I felt he was treated with dignity and respect throughout the deterioration to his health and eventually his death
Thank you for sharing your experience. We know how difficult this journey can be, and we're honored to have been able to support your father in his final days while continuing to care for your mother. Our team truly values every person, and we're grateful for your trust in us. Please know we're always here for you and your family.
Overall this is a good care home I think . It is clean and facilities are good . Also the entertainment is great. There were a few issues regarding the food when mother was first there but I think she is fairly happy and she knows if she asks they will do their best for her , the staff are always kind to her which is very important. Sometimes her laundry gets lost in system but that is usually rectified . There were a couple of times when mother was given the wrong medication, someone else's drugs which is worrying . Mother has all her faculties still so she knew they were wrong but if she'd had dementia that could have been disastrous.
Thank you for your honest feedback. We're really glad to hear that your mother feels happy and enjoys the entertainment and facilities. We do take concerns about medication errors very seriously, as resident safety is our top priority. If you'd like to discuss this further, we'd be happy to go over...
Thankyou Roselands, we continue to be very happy with the care that you provide for our relative. She has lived with you for 1 year now and she is so happy and content. She is comfortable warm, clean and very well fed, who wants for more? The transition to living and being cared for was so smooth and the best thing we could have wished for. Professional and caring, so friendly.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Moving into care can be a big transition, so it's really heartwarming to know that it was a smooth and positive experience. We truly appreciate your support and will continue to do our best to provide a warm and caring environment. If there's ever anything you need, we're always here!
The Manager & Deputy Manager are so lovely, very approachable & their door is always open.
All the staff are very caring, professional & nothing is too much trouble.
There is one older member of staff that is like a little pocket rocket, so much fun to be around.
Unfortunately Mum is bed bound so can't partake in any of the varied activities that she would have loved.
As soon as we stepped foot in Roselands we thought hand on heart that this was the place for Mum.
Mum has been in Roselands 3 yrs & turned 100yrs in October which is a true testament to the care that Mum is receiving.
I cannot recommend this Care Home enough
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It's really heartwarming to hear how happy you are with the care your mum is receiving. We feel so lucky to be looking after her, and reaching 100 is such an incredible milestone - what a testament to her strength and spirit! We'll make sure to pass on your...
There is definitely a good team of people that work well together and it shows in the level of care for residents.
Thank you so much! It really means a lot to hear that you've had such a positive experience with Roselands. The team works hard to create a warm and engaging environment, so it's great to know that it shines through. We truly appreciate your kind words and support!
I cant fault the communication and the home is clean and always welcoming.
Mum particularly likes the entertainment and having some banter with the staff.
All in all we couldn't have wished for a better place for her to spend her later years..
Thank you! It's so lovely to hear how happy and relaxed your mum is at Roselands. Seeing our residents smile and enjoy their time with us is exactly what we strive for. We're glad she's loving the entertainment and the friendly banter! It's those little moments that make all the difference. Your kind words mean so much to us, and we're grateful to be part of your mum's journey.
All staff are helpful, friendly but I think overworked. The menu and quality of food could be improved. Laundry still a bit hit and miss, even though items are labelled clothes go missing. Entertainment is good, something happening most days. Visiting is very flexible.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's great to hear that you find the team friendly and helpful - we truly care about making Roselands a welcoming place. We completely understand your concerns and appreciate the feedback about the food and laundry. We want everything to be just right, so we'll...
My favourite part is that he gets to go out on trips for coffee and cake rather than just sitting in a room with 4 walls. Alternatively, when he is in the home he has the opportunity to interact with others by playing bingo or being entertained with gentle fitness sessions or visiting acts.
If he had been left in his own house he would just have fallen asleep and been lonely, neither of which is advisable for onset Alzheimer's.
Thank you for sharing such kind feedback. It's wonderful to hear that the care provided has met your expectations and that the environment feels welcoming and comfortable. We're committed to creating a positive experience for everyone, with attentive support and a range of engaging options. Your...

I have been working in care for 11 years and for the last 9, I have been a Care Home Manager. Before I came to the UK I was a social worker in Romania working with children in need for 5 years. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and an equivalent National Vocational Qualification in Care at Level 3.
I joined Eleanor Healthcare Group in July 2018 as a Registered Manager at the Roselands Care Home branch.
I consider myself a caring person, very sociable and very active, always with a smile on my face. I love my job and I am not afraid of a good challenge.
My vision for Roselands is for it to be the best home it can possibly be, for all our residents and staff to be happy, well looked after and enjoy being in here.

Hi! My name is Debbie. I’m the activities coordinator at Roselands in Brede East Sussex.
After working as an optical assistant, I took time out to concentrate on my three children. Thinking it would be good to have another, twins arrived!!
Studying fine art during my time at home achieving an A level and BTEC Diploma. Then learning Makaton.
Joining Roselands in October I soon settled in. Chatting and laughing with the residents, getting everyone involved in some way. Arts and crafts are my passion but there’s a varied monthly activity calendar. I feel lucky having such a rewarding job.
