I am a friend of the occupant and Power Of Attorney. I am very impressed with the care and safety at Roselands. The staff are extremely polite and helpful.
Thank you for your review, it is much appreciated.
This was Mum's second stay at Roselands for respite. Slightly longer this time as medication was being changed and needed to be done under supervision. I cannot fault the care, kindness and thoughtfulness of all staff at Roselands. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Always something to do if Mum wanted...Mum's only complaint was that it took a while for her cup of tea to be made just how she liked it! But even that was achieved!
Dear Susan, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that your mum received excellent care and attention during her second stay with us and it's heartening to know that our team ensured her needs were met. Your comments help us to continuously improve our services and...
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Always willing to go an extra step to provide a solution if one is needed. There is a calm atmosphere in the building and residents seem comfortable with their situation.
Thank you for your review, it is very much appreciated.
Overall very happy, my mother is well cared for 24/7 by the many wonderful and attentive Roselands staff. The manager of the home is extremely kind, approachable and very supportive.
Thank you for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
We are so lucky to have found Roselands for my husband, who had to go into full-time care. He had not left his bed for quite some time, but with great patience and understanding, the wonderful people who care for him at Roselands have managed to get him into the day room. He joins in the activities and is making new friends. This has greatly enriched his life. Roselands has a wonderful, relaxed, friendly atmosphere, whilst providing highly efficient, compassionate care. He is very well looked after, the communication is superb, and I am kept up to date with his daily progress. He is spotless in his appearance, his room is very clean, and his bed is fresh and tidy. The food is fabulous, and he eats very well. On visits, there is always a friendly welcome, and refreshments are offered. I feel that I am still part of his daily life, and part of the Roselands happy family. He loves the staff, who are absolute angels, and we are so happy that he is comfortable and very well cared for. Thank you, Roselands.
On behalf of the family, we wanted to say a big 'thank you' to the home manager, senior carer and all the team at Roselands for all the love and care they gave Mum over the last couple of years; in particular in Mum’s final days in April this year. They were always caring, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for any donations to go to Roselands and were delighted to be presented with a beautiful wooden garden bench for the staff and residents in her memory. A difficult job, but carried out with a lot of love!
Thank you for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
Excellent care and activities. Very happy with surroundings. Staff very friendly and visitors always made to feel welcome. Room is very well-equipped, spacious, clean and tidy. Lovely gardens and outside space to sit.
Thank you for your kind review it is very much appreciated.
Care home is wonderful. The carers are extremely kind and helpful, always doing activities for the residents, outside is lovely for the summer. Can not find any faults at all, glad I came across this care home for my mum. Have no worries that she is being well looked after.
Thank you for your kind review it is very much appreciated.
I am kept informed of any changes and the needs of my mum which have been challenging at times and the staff have dealt with these efficiently and satisfactorily.
The home is very clean, bright, fresh smelling and welcoming.
There is also activities several times a week in the day room.
Thank you for your lovely review it is very much appreciated.
An amazing place. Dad's medical needs meant he could no longer be looked after at home by mum. A huge wrench for mum to relinquish his care, but reassurance and compassion shown to both Dad and mum was incredible. From our initial conversation with the lovely Manager to our first visit, we knew he would be in safe hands. His medical and nursing care are of the highest standard, carried out with kindness and dignity. Roselands is spotless, has a wonderful calm happy atmosphere, food is fabulous and plentiful. Activities are abundant and well thought out. Communication is great, we are made to feel welcome and that we are still part of dad's everyday life. 'Staff and manager' are not the right words, they are all so much more than that, as they really do go above and beyond. Dad loves his room and is very happy and secure there, which in turn makes us happy and indebted to all at Roselands. The way everyone at Roselands works together as one makes this a unique and special place to be.
Thank you so much for the lovely review it is very much appreciated.
I can honestly say Roselands care home is excellent. My mother-in-law is a resident in there and the staff go above and beyond to make sure their residents are well looked after. They do their work with a passionate outlook the staff are always polite and work hard to make sure their residents are happy. The care home is very clean I haven't got anything bad to say about Roselands, they are very welcoming and staff are lovely.
Thank you for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
Mum has been at Roselands just under 3 years, at no point have I had a problem or a complaint. The team keep in contact with personal matters concerning mum and have the upmost respect towards her. Turning up unannounced is just the same as a booked visit which shows the quality of care. The Activities Co-ordinator is dedicated to her residents keeping them interacted and stimulated through the day. It’s just a lovely home for mum and I’m so grateful.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
Roselands looked after our mum with exceptional care and attention. Our mum was not the easiest, more times than not proved to be difficult. However, all members of the care team at Roselands remained kind and patient towards her. Even at the end when she passed they were kind enough to provide a place after her funeral where tea and cake were served for the few who were able to attend her funeral. We can't thank Roselands enough for making mum's last months as comfortable as possible.
Thank you so much for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
What an amazing care home. My mum spent the last six months of her life with Roselands and the care team went out of their way to help mum settle and offer her ongoing care. They always treated mum with tenderness and preserved her dignity. Always helpful. So nice to be greeted by a smile from every one of their excellent team. Nothing was too much trouble. The best thing I can say is that if I needed care, I would have no hesitation in going to Roselands. Thank goodness for people like them.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
This home is great. The staff are kind and caring. They looked after my mum well till the end of her days. Her behaviour was difficult at times as she had vascular dementia, but they coped well and treated her with dignity. The home has undergone a major transformation but has not lost its family feel. She was included in activities even though she was not really capable. Now that the food is home-cooked it has improved a lot. My mum was here for 8 years, a long time.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
I am always made to feel very welcome on my visits and can not thank the staff and management enough for the kindness they have given my dad.
Thank you so much for your kind review, it is very much appreciated.
My mother came to the home in January, she is bed-bound and has received very good care by all the staff for which we are very grateful, everyone has been very kind to relatives on their visits thank you.
Thank you very much for your lovely review, it is very much appreciated.
My mother has been at Roselands for five years. She is 98 years old now and receives outstanding care. She isn’t mobile anymore but she is clean and her skin is soft. The staff take great care of her. It is such a friendly home with lovely approachable staff. We are so grateful and lucky that it is on our doorstep. The manager and all of the staff handled the recent pandemic really efficiently and made sure the residents were protected. They did a fabulous job.
Thank you so much for the lovely review it is very much appreciated.
Sadly, she passed away at the end of September at the grand old age of 96, but I know she was cared for until the end.
We are so very grateful for your kind review. Thank you
The manager instantly put us at ease, was highly efficient with her communication and organisation. This is very reassuring to see such wonderful leadership and we felt our grandparents would be in very safe hands. The atmosphere is calm and has a small sense of community. Our initial impression has been very positive. The garden and views from the room are beautiful, feel special to have such a setting. It has been particularly nice to sit outside and enjoy various events. The staff have been great at welcoming my grandparents and really have helped to ease the transition. Thank you to the manager and the team.
Thank you so much for your kind review it is very much appreciated.

Meet the Team (2)

I have been working in care for 11 years and for the last 9, I have been a Care Home Manager. Before I came to the UK I was a social worker in Romania working with children in need for 5 years. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and an equivalent National Vocational Qualification in Care at Level 3.
I joined Eleanor Healthcare Group in July 2018 as a Registered Manager at the Roselands Care Home branch.
I consider myself a caring person, very sociable and very active, always with a smile on my face. I love my job and I am not afraid of a good challenge.
My vision for Roselands is for it to be the best home it can possibly be, for all our residents and staff to be happy, well looked after and enjoy being in here.

Hi! My name is Debbie. I’m the activities coordinator at Roselands in Brede East Sussex.
After working as an optical assistant, I took time out to concentrate on my three children. Thinking it would be good to have another, twins arrived!!
Studying fine art during my time at home achieving an A level and BTEC Diploma. Then learning Makaton.
Joining Roselands in October I soon settled in. Chatting and laughing with the residents, getting everyone involved in some way. Arts and crafts are my passion but there’s a varied monthly activity calendar. I feel lucky having such a rewarding job.
