As soon as I spoke to the manager of Roselands, I felt Dad would be in very safe and caring hands. A very distressing time for us was saved by the wonderful welcoming atmosphere we experienced when first walking into Roselands. The home has a light airy feel and a sense of a kind caring community can immediately be felt. It is early days yet, but our initial experience was extremely positive. The staff are very easy to communicate with and helpful in their efforts to make Dad's first weeks as smooth as possible. Dad was being carefully listened to by attentive staff who we felt would soon get to know him as the very special individual he is. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind review, it is much appreciated.
I left a review a while ago when my mother was relatively new to Roselands but now she has lived there for two years, I wanted to say how happy we still are that she is being so wonderfully cared for. I am so grateful that we were able to keep safely visiting Mum right up until the government's rules forbade it, and that all the necessary measures were then put in place to open up to visitors again as soon as it was allowed. On my first day back they even laid on a wonderful cream tea to make it even more special! This past year must have been really challenging but all the staff are just as friendly and cheerful as ever and Mum particularly enjoys having a laugh and a joke with some of the young men on the staff! Mum also loves to keep busy and she joins in with all the activities on offer. Mum's memory is quite poor now, but Roselands is giving her a quality of life that I really don't think could be bettered anywhere.
Thank you so much for your kind review it is so much appreciated.
Friendly informal relaxed yet caring home from home atmosphere, set in beautiful rural surroundings in the middle of spacious grounds. Ambience is good as is the attitude of the care workers. Nice place to reside in for my mother.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is much appreciated.
Mum is very well cared for at Roselands, always looks neat and tidy when we visit. Nice room, good food, staff are kind and friendly and have been great at the moment with Covid keeping everyone safe. Would highly recommend it.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is much appreciated.
We found Roselands to be a well caring and supportive residential home to both the residents and family members. Everyone involved; carers, management, housekeeping and not forgetting the chefs are fantastic! They have kept us well informed and the residents safe throughout recent times.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is much appreciated.
I am so grateful my mother is at Roselands, she suffers from dementia and is 93 years old. She is very well cared for and the manager and staff are wonderful. The communication and updates are regular and the new WhatsApp initiative is excellent, with photos and regular activities shown. My mother is happy and feels at home in the beautiful setting that Roselands has. I feel at ease knowing that my mother resides in this wonderful care home.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We will do our best to make sure all our residents are very well looked after.
I know processes and procedures are an essential part of a care home and rightly so. But what really makes a care home is the people who provide the care for the residents. When a young carer puts her head round the door and says, “Hi Handsome” and to see the huge grin light up a 98 year old – priceless. Roselands provided comfort and security for my parents, as well as care with incredible kindness. I take comfort in knowing they were so well looked after in their time at Roselands. A big thank you to everyone involved with their care and the support given to us.
Thank you so much for your kind review it is much appreciated.
The staff were very accommodating with my wife's various problems and the room was adequate for her needs, albeit dark. The only comment I will make about the ensuite was that there was a very high step up into the shower. My one big disappointment was that on all websites that I had seen it was claimed that the food was home-cooked, this is not the case, it is brought in from an outside caterer and heated and I was not over-impressed with its looks.
The manageress and staff were so caring to my mother, they were constantly kind and patient with her.

Meet the Team (2)

I have been working in care for 11 years and for the last 9, I have been a Care Home Manager. Before I came to the UK I was a social worker in Romania working with children in need for 5 years. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and an equivalent National Vocational Qualification in Care at Level 3.
I joined Eleanor Healthcare Group in July 2018 as a Registered Manager at the Roselands Care Home branch.
I consider myself a caring person, very sociable and very active, always with a smile on my face. I love my job and I am not afraid of a good challenge.
My vision for Roselands is for it to be the best home it can possibly be, for all our residents and staff to be happy, well looked after and enjoy being in here.

Hi! My name is Debbie. I’m the activities coordinator at Roselands in Brede East Sussex.
After working as an optical assistant, I took time out to concentrate on my three children. Thinking it would be good to have another, twins arrived!!
Studying fine art during my time at home achieving an A level and BTEC Diploma. Then learning Makaton.
Joining Roselands in October I soon settled in. Chatting and laughing with the residents, getting everyone involved in some way. Arts and crafts are my passion but there’s a varied monthly activity calendar. I feel lucky having such a rewarding job.
