My mother has dementia and so hardly knows where she is. The team appear to be very kind to her and work with her to calm her down and renew calm to her mind. I am sure that the quality of the food they give her renewed strength. Being able to have a few home belongings in the room will make things easier for mother to remember a little of her previous life full of memories.
My mum was a resident of Woodville for over five years until her death in January 2016. The care staff looked after her very well and I think it was due to the care she received that she lived so long as she did. Even after nearly a year being cared for in bed she did not have a pressure sore. The care staff always went an extra mile to look after her when I visited she was always clean and I felt happy to leave her in their care.
My mum is now settled here at Woodville she is a lot happier before Woodville mum was very distressed, anxious and agitated. Woodville is not only my mums new home it's ours. At Christmas, the atmosphere was brilliant all together one big family.
There have been problems with this home, nothing to do with the present staff or manager but things are greatly improving and hopefully will continue to do so hopefully as long as my wife is a resident. The staff are very attentive most of the time and very caring.
My mother was a resident at Woodville with dementia. Staff have been great and very kind and caring. She died a few months ago. They also treated us with respect, kindness. It is one of the best homes around. I will recommend it to anybody.
My mother was a resident at this home for 6 years until her death April 2016. I have nothing but praise and eternal gratitude for the loving care she received until the end. I loved the fact that residents lounge area was fully integrated with the dining kitchen room so there was total integration and contact. The whole time the staff who showed endless kindness, patience and affection and readiness to attend to any upset or problem they witnessed. I will never forget the amazing staff and hope many more residents have the opportunity to be in their care. They will certainly be very lucky.
We have dedicated staff between 2pm and 4pm everyday that offer a wide variety of activities tailored to the individual needs of each of our residents.
Throughout the day, newspapers, magazines and music/tv are...
My friend who is client here is very happy and well looked after. I believe his condition has been stable since being at Woodville.
