The staff at Willow Lodge are outstanding. They have been kind, patient and respectful in a way that I have rarely seen in carers when communicating with dementia patients. It is also a beautiful care home, making a huge difference to the feel of the place. There is a large, light and airy day room for residents to sit or move around in freely and it looks out onto a lovely garden. The furniture is very well suited to the various needs of both residents and visitors. The dining room is equally attractive, having a hotel feel with lovely décor and a menu set out on each table every day. The food is excellent and visitors are always invited to eat with the residents. Staff are always around and help the moment anyone needs it. My mother's room is lovely, spacious and light. Activities are thoughtful with singalongs, hairdressers, music playing and animal visits from a local farm. The staff seem to genuinely care and Mum has settled in extremely well. Willow Lodge is an excellent facility, it is always very clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and well presented, the food is of a high quality and there is always plenty to eat. The staff are excellent, very attentive to the residents, very caring and are always there to offer assistance and advice to both the residents and visitors. You are always made to feel welcome and looked after with tea, coffee and biscuits. My brother could not be in a better place at present and I do not have to worry about his care while he is there.

My mum was given a place at Willow Lodge Care Home in July. After a lot of time in hospital with her broken hip and dementia that had exacerbated during her stay in hospital, she was given a fantastic lodge of her own which she was over the moon with, It took a few weeks to get used to it but during that time she was 100% happier than when she was in the hospital. I can't thank the outstanding Staff enough for all the fantastic care they give my mum constantly. Most days. I see a video or pictures of her on social media having a brilliant time joining in all the fun activities with staff members and other residence, it bring tears to my eyes to see she's having such a great time especially when at times I struggle to visit due to work commitments, I can be assured and confident my mum is getting the best care she needs and best she has ever had. The staff go over and above always. I am kept up-to-date with any changes to my mum's health. I like to thank everyone at Willow Lodge x

They were very accommodating and little to no restrictions for visits! They made sure my Nan's last weeks were the most comfortable she could be and I couldn't have picked a better place for her. While all the family were around during my Nans last hours, they constantly offered us teas and coffees and even a lunch! But they also made sure we had space to say our goodbyes. When looking for somewhere suitable for my nan with Dementia I found Willow lodge. From my first visit until the last days of my nan life this place was amazing! From the day my nan arrived and become part of the willow lodge family you see how much each staff member and career gave to every resident at the home! It was like they was all one big family. The time, love, care they give on a daily basic was amazing. I see this everyday as I would visit nan daily. When my nan got to end of life I couldn't believe how amazing the guys was there. The care plans that was put in place to make sure my nan was safe and looked after was unreal. I was honoured and aloud to stay 2 night the last days of my nans life and you just felt so comfortable and like part of their family there. All of them was on the ball constantly checking in every 20 minutes and just being there not just for nan but for myself. Us as a family will forever be greatful. We couldn't thank you enough! You guys are amazing

I looked at many local care homes for my mum that catered for Alzheimer's patients but just didn't feel like I'd found the right one. Then I found Willow Lodge, I was actually brought to tears by the ethos of respect and caring that I witnessed from all of the staff and how lovely the whole place was. It wasn't easy for Mum or myself to make the huge transition into a care home and the first few weeks were tricky, however, with their undoubted knowledge and skill of caring for dementia patients and incredible kindness Mum has settled well and is very happy there. The food is cooked onsite and Mum says it is delicious. Her room is beautifully decorated and cleaned on a regular basis, with a stunning en-suite with a walk-in shower. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and give much-needed support and comfort to relatives as well as residents- it's a difficult time for us too! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Willow Lodge and am so grateful to have found them.

Nothing was too much trouble and he was looked after with kindness, dignity and respect. As a retired nurse myself and having managed care homes in my working life, I'm well aware of how a good home should be run, and this most certainly is a well-managed care home. At the end of his life my family and I spent many hours with him and we too were looked after and supported through this difficult time.

It was a difficult decision to send Mum into the care of people we did not know, but from the start she was welcomed and supported in every way. As others have said, it's a very difficult decision to entrust the care of a parent with dementia into the hands of - at the time - strangers. It felt like a leap into the unknown for all of us. However, we quickly came to realise that the love and care provided by all staff - from cleaners to management - is second to none. We can't express enough how grateful we are for the care given to our mum in the final years of her life, and also for the practical and emotional support that we as a family were given. They've always been available to listen to us and reassure us during some very difficult times. They welcomed our mum into the Willow Lodge family and treated her with dignity, respect and love, even during the times when she could be a tad challenging! Thank you all for everything you've done - we can't recommend Willow Lodge highly enough!
