I was very pleased with the care my late mother had at Kensington Lodge. My mother always loved to go back to see staff when we went out for the day. She felt safe and happy. I can not thank the staff enough for the care they gave my mother.

My partner entered this home early 2021, and during the intervening months, it has become abundantly clear to me that the most overriding factor should be the level of care on offer. Fortunately, in Kensington Lodge, professionalism, care and devotion go hand in hand. This is supported by a small, neat,
clean and tidy premises. Added to that, the food is exceptionally good, helped by a very competent chef. The location, a few minutes from the beach and with off road free parking, just completes a rather perfect picture.

We found Kensington Lodge a happy and supportive home for Mum. All the staff were kind and friendly and made the home a good place for Mum to live, despite her confusion. We know she enjoyed music and singing along with the staff and the performers who came on occasions. They were very helpful in assisting
my mentally ill brother facilitating his first visit to see Mum for 2 years, due to COVID restrictions, in her final days.

My father came into the care of Kensington Lodge care home in February 2021 after several falls at his home. I can say with complete honesty Kensington Lodge care staff have turned his life around. I have seen a complete change in him, from him being deeply depressed, withdrawn and angry into a happier
man. His personal care and mental health have improved tenfold. He always looks clean and tidy, he engages with me much more and you wouldn't know he's got dementia. The staff are friendly, kind and courteous. My father is no longer lonely having the staff and residents to interact with. My father is now so happy, contented and settled that he is now looking for love at the home! He has his sense of humor, sparkle and cheekiness back! The staff have worked miracles and I cannot thank them enough for giving my father a new lease of life.

I personally couldn't rate this as high as it deserves, the staff are amazing. I know my dad is loved and cared for and I never have to worry about his well being.
If any concerns the home will call me straight away, through this difficult year they have been amazing, and my dad's safety is a priority
at all times.
Love the people as does my dad, he may not know who I am but always has a smile for the staff.

Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and the team.
My mum was in another home that wasn't meeting her needs, she was sad and withdrawn. The manager and staff arranged to get mum across to Kensington Lodge even though they were pushed for room.
Mum is now settled and much happier, I can't thank
them enough.
Great staff who make you feel welcome and part of their family.

Since moving into Kensington Lodge, my nan has received the care she needs from a kind and caring team. Kensington Lodge is a nice care home which has regular entertainment for the residents and visitors are always made to feel welcome. Highly recommended.

My mother was transferred to Kensington Lodge 6 weeks ago and placed in permanent care due to her advancing dementia. The staff have been friendly and supportive to both my mother and myself helping us adapt to our new circumstances. I feel I can raise any issues with the staff and I look forward to

We chose Kensington Lodge for my sister as it was just right for her needs; it had only a small number of rooms, compared with others we had visited and the condition of the building and the rooms exceeded our expectations.
My Sister has been a resident for over 2 years and throughout that time I have
also found that the staff paid attention to each resident's personal needs, there is a very nice atmosphere. There is music and chair exercises sessions every week, and 4 or 5 times a year a visiting Professional Concert Party puts on shows for the Residents and Families which are greatly enjoyed.
Either my Wife or I visit Kensington Lodge at least 3 times a week and we would like to say how welcoming all the staff members are to us and find time in their busy schedule to speak to us and my Sister and are always so friendly and professional. The manager is generally on site during our visits.

After suffering a stroke and also having early Dementia he needed more help and care.
Initially, he had a couple of trial weeks before he became a permanent resident.
I visit him 3 or 4 times each week and I am always made most welcome.
I feel I've made a very wise choice and he is now quite happy
and well looked after.
Recently it was our 70th Wedding Anniversary.
The staff had all signed a card, there was a lovely cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me.
We were quite overwhelmed - it was such a lovely surprise.
The manager took a photograph of us and later gave us a copy which she had framed.
It was a very kind thought - very much appreciated.

Mum was in Kensington Lodge for 2 years and felt settled and "at home". She was able to indulge in her love of singing and dancing due to the entertainments provided. The staff always treated her and the other residents with good care, respect and a great deal of tolerance which is essential when people
have Alzheimer's/dementia. Kensington Lodge is not one of those large impersonal care homes and all staff are very welcoming to residents families and visitors.

My mother became a resident at Kensington Lodge in January 2015. Whilst I was sad to have to place her in a 'home' I was impressed with the friendliness and warmth of the staff straight away. Her room is a very welcoming room too. She took a while to settle at first but in the time she has been there
she has settled into a routine and all her needs both physical and mental have been dealt with in a kind, caring and very professional manner. The home has had a change of management during her time as a resident and I am delighted to say the already excellent care has improved and the various changes to the surroundings have improved the overall already good standard too. As a relative, I have been kept fully informed of my mother's daily care and am always made to feel very welcome on any visits. I know that my mother is safe and well cared for which gives us as a family the peace of mind we so badly needed nearly two years ago. Thank you to all the staff at Kensington Lodge.

My mother lived at Kensington Lodge for the past four years. As soon as I first walked in, I knew it was the right place for her. There is a lovely homely feel. The other residents all looked well dressed and happy. My mother never once asked to go home. She was always content and had a smile on her
face. The staff became friends. A more caring team you'd be pushed to find. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them so often you hear the bad experiences in the media not the many exceptional places like Kensington Lodge.

Kensington Lodge looked after my mother with the utmost care and dignity during her stay there(nearly 2 years). The staff were extremely professional, caring and totally understood her needs. The communication between the staff and myself was 100% at all times and I would. Not hesitate to recommend

I can't fault the service and level of care shown to my mother since she became a resident at Kensington Lodge. She was originally just staying as convalescence after being in hospital for an extended period but once we realised that she wouldn't be able to cope alone at home, we had no hesitation in
making it a permanent arrangement. The staff and management treat all residents with dignity and compassion and the overall atmosphere is one of a very happy and settled household.
