My father was in the home from January to August 2025. In this time he was treated with dignity and respect. He was always clean and tidy, well fed and happy. We never felt any cause for concern regarding his welfare. The staff were always alert to any issues and kept me informed at all times. We
visited regularly and always found the staff to be very cheerful and happy in their work.
They were particularly supportive and caring during his end of life care.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister has been at Knightswood for over 12 months with dementia and is settled and content with her new house as she calls it.

As a family, we were immediately impressed by the friendliness of the atmosphere and staff, Questions asked are answered immediately in an open and transparent way

and an invitation to visit at any time, other than consideration for meal times when staff are busy and nowhere is restricted. A resident can wander into the lounge, dining room or conservatory if company is needed or stay comfortably in their own private room with staff regularly popping in if a cup of tea or chat is needed.

In her 12 months at Knightswood, my sister and all the other residents are treated with care and dignity, their needs met fully with plenty of activities, keep fit and entertainment laid on every week with visiting performers. Trips out and holidays can be enjoyed with the staff treating each resident as if they were indeed family and care is outstanding.

Reply from Jayne Booth, Manager at Knightswood Residential HomeThankyou for your kind review, this is very much appreciated by all the staff at Knightswood, we hope you continue to be happy with the care provided and can approach staff with any concerns

My father has been a resident of Sea Bank since June 2025. I have been very impressed with the care that the staff have given my father. The staff are always very welcoming and cannot do enough to help. The care home itself is clean, tidy and well run. There are lovely views across Morecambe Bay and
the dining room is very much like a cafe which makes visiting very pleasant. Communication has been excellent, the staff have always kept me updated with my fathers health and requirements. My father has dementia and I know the staff are looking after him as he well feed and always looks clean and well dressed.

My husband who suffers from mixed dementia, has been a resident at Lobswood House some three months now.
He has settled in very well and  clearly feels safe and at home.
The team of carers interact with residents with a smile and endless patience supporting their well-being  even through occasionally
challenging behaviour.
The home is spotlessly clean, fresh and well maintained and the food served looks very appetising and varied.
There are daily activities  organised both by staff and by regular visiting entertainers.
I couldn't be happier with our choice of carehome.
Reply from James Muldoon, Ops Manager at Lobswood HouseThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. We're truly touched to hear how well your husband has settled into life at Lobswood House. Knowing that he feels safe and at home means the world to us.Our team works hard to create a warm, supportive environment for all our residents, and it's wonderful to hear that their patience and dedication are shining through. We're also pleased that you've noticed the cleanliness, quality of the meals, and the variety of activities we offer-these are all things we take great pride in.Your feedback is deeply appreciated by the whole team. Lovely care for my husband, the care assistants are kind, understanding, and listen to him. He enthuses about the food and refreshments all the time. He is kept clean with washes and clean clothes. My hat off to them he would not shower for weeks at home. His room is clean and warm. Management has
said to advise any problems on every occasion we attend, we have not had any issues.

My mother lives in the home and the care and patience of the staff with her has been absolutely brilliant. My mother has complicated dementia needs, yet the staff have been so accommodating and they remain calm at all times, which I am so grateful for. The care team and managers keep me updated at all
times of any significant changes to my mother's medical condition and they have made such efforts behind the scenes in moving my mother's care needs through the NHS and thereby speeding up her medical diagnoses. Thank you to all those at Lobswood House.

My father spent 6 wonderful months under the amazing care delivered by the Lobswood House team.
During his time at Lobswood, he would tell me how happy he was and how lovely all the staff were. He really wanted for nothing.
Nothing was ever too much trouble!
Every member of the team went above
and beyond they even took the trouble to make us tea and coffee each time we visited.
His care and needs were their priority, the staff would always keep me up to date on his health if things changed I was confident and very comfortable we had made the right choice with Lobswood.
If there was an olympics for care homes, team Lobswood would be my gold choice every time
Thank you for everything you gave him your best and I will forever be grateful.

I feel it is so important to acknowledge good care for those of us working full time and unable to care for family members at home. My mum was at her previous care for just under 3 years but as her dementia increased and they served us notice advising we needed to find a home better equipped to care
for her needs.
After my mum moving from 3 homes in the space of 10 days we were worried that Kensington Lodge would also declare they could not cope with my mum. I can't begin to tell you how relieved we were that this was the best move and we only wish this had been our first choice all those years ago. I have witnessed the staff being patient and caring with my mum.
I highly recommend Kensington Lodge as a small home, with staff trained to care and love the residents as much as we the family members do. Thank you to all the staff.

Yesterday I attended a meeting at Kensington Lodge for the family members of the residents. The manager and deputy manager provided thorough and informative updates and it was evident that the residents are at the heart of everything they do and their development plan. The meeting welcomed input from
the family members and we had a really rich discussion that was so positive and had a purpose and outcome behind it for bringing positive change.
Kensington Lodge is truly a breath of fresh air for our family after a negative end experience at her former home and in caring for my mother in law so well, this in turn has impacted our well-being by not worrying and having the guilt that we were unable for her to live with us.
I 100% endorse this care home for anyone currently needing to find a care home for their loved one and wish to acknowledge and thank all the staff for their compassion.

On the 10th of August, my sister visited her husband, who is a resident of Kensington Lodge, I was there as well. As she has Multiple sclerosis (MS) and is in a wheelchair she needed to be hoisted into her second wheelchair for comfort. The staff were welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
There was such a happy atmosphere in a very clean environment. His room is light and airy and looked very comfortable. My sister enjoyed her visit very much especially as it was her 89th birthday. A big thank you to all the staff.

I think the care and personal attention is very good. There are no bad smells that I've found in other care homes and cleanliness is good. It's not the poshest looking interiors but it is adequate. The outside space could be better but most elderly don't seem to want to be outside regardless of the
weather, my mum always stays in. Overall, I am very happy with this care home.

This care home is excellent in every way. My brother has been extremely poorly and the staff have cared for him with great kindness and compassion. They had an open day for families which I attended and what a joyous day it was. The staff produced a range of excellent and different and exciting dishes
for everyone to enjoy. There was music and dancing. All the time while this was going on staff kept a check on my brother making sure he was comfortable. An excellent care home with excellent staff and management.

My mum can choose what activities she would like to be involved in (but she is always encouraged if she doesn't feel like it that day)
My mother's room is very accessible for her needs,
and she can make the room as homely as she would like it to be (with personal belongings).
