We are a private user of this home and although the staff are lovely, the fees are extortionate. Food is basic and so is the care. My mother is not bed bound and doesn't need specialist care. Her fire door has been broken since she has been there (1.5 years) and now her rings have gone missing. We would
move her but she is settled there now.

Mum has been in Mill River Lodge for one and a half years and the care has been amazing. She is well cared for, clean and tidy. She is very happy and contented. We love that every day there are lots of activities and she is encouraged to join in. I would recommend Mill River Lodge.

My mother has used the service for over a year in the day centre. This is my family's lifeline that enables us to rest and work. Mum is so happy and relaxed here looked after by the amazing and caring, hardworking day centre staff at Horsham. Well done team, thank you for your ongoing care and support.

My mum spent the last year of her life in this wonderful home. I can’t thank enough the hard-working, dedicated staff for all their support and kindnesses. Their jobs are not easy but every member of staff that I have had the privilege to meet or to discuss mum with have shown both extreme professionalism
and understanding. This can be sometimes a challenging environment, with not enough time and money to stretch to all the demands made upon them but as a team, they rise to each challenge with patience and determination. They deserve my heartfelt gratitude and I wish them all the luck in the future.

My sister has been a resident at Mill River Lodge since 31st March 2016. She is very happy there and has for some time regarded it as 'home'. The staff are extremely efficient, obliging and kind and I am very grateful to know that she is receiving suitable care in very pleasant surroundings.

My mother is resident because of Alzheimer's and at nearly 95 has other health issues. Since being cared for at M R Lodge she has calmed down considerably because of the routine she has and the feeling of stability means she can enjoy what life she has. The staff are caring and considerate and welcome
visitors.

All of the staff are very caring and attentive to the Residents in my Fathers Unit. I am happy my Father is treated with a lot of respect.


However I am concerned, when on some of my visits I would feel a lot happier to see 2 members of staff on duty at all times and not just one Carer.

Oluwatosin Omisakin

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2022

My name is Oluwatosin Omisakin, you can call me Tosin. I am the clinical lead at Mill River Lodge, and I assist the service manager in running the home.


I started my nursing career in 2013 in Nigeria and I have garnered a wealth of experience in adult nursing over the years.


I am very passionate about making a difference in residents’ lives and delivering excellent quality care. This resonates with the values of Shaw Healthcare and made me join in March 2022.


It also encouraged me to get a BSc degree (Nursing Science) from the University of Derby in 2022.


I am involved in leading and supporting the nursing team to achieve exemplary care services for our residents, as well as supporting families on their care journey.

I am a seasoned professional in the field of care home management with over 5 years of experience. Before my current role as Service Manager, I served as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the A&E department for several years, bringing a wealth of clinical experience with me.


In my previous position, I played a key role in revitalizing a care facility that was facing declining enrollment. Through my dedication and leadership, I successfully increased patient enrollment and elevated general satisfaction levels among existing residents.


My commitment lies in the continual improvement of services offered to care home residents. I am devoted to creating an ideal environment that caters not only to residents but also fosters a welcoming atmosphere for staff, friends, and family, ensuring a holistic and enriching experience for all.
