Nyton House has a Review Score of 9.9 (9.939) out of 10, based on 22 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Nyton House has 67 reviews.
My wife has been enjoying carefully-prepared food - I met one of (I think two) chefs who prepare varied menus in different 'textures' for those with difficulty in swallowing.
The house itself is imposing and set in attractive grounds. We are in the main building, while we understand the modernised stables are for more high-dependency care.
I think we all hope that later-stage living should be dignified, comfortable and secure. Nyton House may be a little costlier than some, but is certainly worth it and helps to achieve our aim.
Thank you for taking the time to review Nyton House. Your experiences are really helpful in guiding others looking for care for loved ones . They also help us to identify opportunities to improve .
My Grandad has been at Nyton House for two years now and the team at this care home have been absolutely fantastic. From the moment my grandad arrived, they have treated him with genuine kindness, patience and respect. It is clear that the staff truly care about the residents, not just in terms of care needs, but also their dignity, comfort and happiness. Communication with our family has been excellent, and we always feel kept informed and reassured. The home itself is clean, welcoming and has a lovely, warm atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
Wow, what a fantastic review. Thank you so much for sharing your experience of Nyton with others who are looking for care.
I can visit family at the other end of the country with peace of mind knowing he is in exceptionally safe hands.
All the staff, without exception, go the extra mile, are friendly, respectful and make him feel valued.
Thank you for your kind review. J really feels like part of our family, and I know our care staff and residents enjoy his company during his day visits or intermittent respite stays.
Thoroughly deserving their rating of Excellent!!
Thank you for reviewing Nyton and for your support as a volunteer at our Home. Rating us as the 'best care home you have seen in your career' is an amazing accolate. We really appriacte these kind words.
My Mum had to move into a home following increasing frailty from her independent living flat. I thought it would be quite a difficult move but the staff at Nyton have been very understanding and welcoming to us. She has settled in well (has been at Nyton for 4 months now) and feels that it is the best place for her to be living at this time of life. I would particularly single out the quality and frequency of daily activities that are organised by Nyton. Not only are these engaging and inclusive but the staff really make sure that as many residents as are able and willing, do actually participate. The care is about as good as I can imagine it gets and it leaves me feeling confident that my mum is as safe as she can be, and getting as much out of life as possible.
Thank you for this review. I really appreciate you singling out our activities, as we place so much importance on this area. Kay (Activities and Engagement co-ordinator) works tirelessly to provide a constantly changing variety of performers and community events at the Home.
My mum has started coming to Nyton for day care they have been amazing in supporting me and mum will be coming more often in the future. I cant recommend it enough. The grounds are lively and they are dog friendly as mum.loves dogs and enjoys pet therapy visits.
We really appreciate you taking the time to review Nyton and In particular, our day care. I'm so pleased that we had e been able to provide regular respite for you and you're mum.
Having broken my back, I signed myself into Nyton House for two weeks respite care. Since being here I have found all the staff so willing helpful and caring. Whatever you need either with helping you dress, or even for someone to sit and cheer you up, there is always someone you can turn to. The rooms are spotless, and the daily menus give a variety of choices. Also one doesn't have time to mope as there is always some activity going on. If I had to stay permanently, Nyton House would be my choice.
Thank you so much for this review M. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and it's great to hear our menu and activities were a highlight of your stay with us. Thank you for choosing Nyton.
Great service and excellent care of mum at all times, staff always pleasant and helpful, care for mum with her dementia is done with love and passion , so I cannot thank you all enough at Nyton House.
Thank you for taking the time to review Nyton House. It's always helpful to hear where we can improve and you're review shows cleanliness and value for money missing a 5 start rating. We take huge pride in our housekeeping and I'll follow up on this immediately to see where we can better ensure...
I have been a volunteer for over a year now assisting with outings and activities like crafts and excercise dance and event days. All the residents and myself have enjoyed these activities and I look forward yo the year ahead at Nyton.
Many thanks for reviewing Nyton and for helping us provide Outstanding activities and support community events.
Nyton House has provided excellent care for both parents over the last 2 years, sadly my father died last year, but we were welcomed to stay with him, overnight and treated like members of the extended Nyton family for the whole period. My mother has quite complex care needs - but the care team here have been phenomenal in catering for her care needs and improving her quality of life
Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences of Nyton House and the Care we have been able to provide your family. We really appreciate your review.
I really can't recommend Nyton House more highly. My father has been a resident for nearly two years and my mother was a resident in the last weeks of her life. The care is second to none. The staff are all just wonderful and you just can't put a price on the knowledge that your closest loved one is being given the dignity, time, compassion and respect they deserve. My lovely Dad feels safe and content and is spoilt rotten. The environment is very much a 'home from home' and the staff actively engage with residents. It really is a special place.
Thank you for this wonderful review and for trusting us with caring for your parents. It's great to hear that our service has provided your dad with dignity, time and compassion.
All the staff are lovely, highly trained and skilled in dementia care and have really taken time to get to know him and to respect his needs as an individual. I'm also really happy with the communication I receive from the management staff. The environment is clean, homely and, as there are only nine residents in the unit, it has a real family feel about it. He's really enjoying the wonderful food too!
Dear S M, thank you for your review of Nyton. We appreciate your recognition of our support for residents living with dementia and the communication you have received from management. Thank you for sharing your experiences of Nyton House.
I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of this care home and the incredible people who work there. They made an immeasurable difference to us all. They are like one big family and it is a very happy place. You feel it the moment to step in the front door. My only regret is not finding it sooner.
Dear R, Thank you for your review of Nyton. Recognising us for our Care, Kindness and Dignity means a great deal to our team, and they are at the core of our family values.
Not enough space to put how the team at Nyton House picked me up, dusted me down and assured after assessment my mum would join their family.
I call it a family from the professional, caring approach given to all that was evident from walking in the door.
Judging I was struggling with the overwhelming pressure of finding care for mum, both Felicity and Activities Organiser listened intently to my story and report from Hospital about mum. An widowed but active 88 yr old lady, admitted with a chest infection to now reportaldy bed bound : in addition to Alzheimer's. Mums overall health has taken a nose dive since admitted to Hospital but is 'Medically fit for discharge '!
I am grateful, Nyton House have taken the lead on admitting mum to their family and am hopeful once settled she will agree she is in a safe, caring, home from home.
Thank you so much for this heartfelt review. It's terrific, such a positive experience of Nyton and our team.
There are plenty of activities and she is encouraged to take part.
She is settled and calm.
Many thanks for this review. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with Nyton House with others seeking a care provider.
My Dad was simply rescued by Nyton house in our hour of need. They swooped in, assessed, agreed admission and picked him and my mum up, helped my mum and myself settle him in, reassured him and us and welcomed us into the Nyton house family.
The care and attention he and we received was first class, kind, compassionate, professional, reflexive and supportive to his needs and they worked hard to understand his life history, helped him with independence and subtly assisted him where and when he needed it and seamlessly increased their support as he needed them too. Special thanks to all the gang, facilities/ chef team/ activities team and Felicity for managing such a brilliant care home.
His end of life care was excellent, kind, thoughtful, dignified, compassionate and we were supported as a family. We miss him dearly, but are so grateful for his last few months where he was supported and truely cared for as were my mum and I.
10/10 care / environment. Would highly recommend
Thank you for sharing with others how Nyton was able to support you and your Dad in a time of need. Your experience describes the 'Why' behind Nyton and care Felitcy and our team aspire to deliver.
Both my parents moved to Nyton 12 years ago and my mother now only lives there since my Father passed away and couldn't be happier and receive better care than she gets at Nyton. This is the true definition of a care home as each and every person cares so much and goes above and beyond.
Great location, beautiful gardens and grounds, amazing staff, lots of activities and engagement and the food is of the highest standard.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Nyton and for your kind words.
When mum died in the evening, two of mums friends/carers came in on their day off to help us both spiritually and hands on.
When mum was able there were loads of activities to cater for all tastes with a different weekly schedule.
All the staff are great, with plenty of staff on during the night.
Food really good too, smells lovely every day.
Thank you for much for taking the time to review Nyton. We recognise what a privilege it is to care for people in their last days, and it makes us very proud to hear your feedback.
The house is beautifully decorated, and the meals are well thought out, balanced and home cooked. All of the staff work hard to maintain the standard that has clearly been established for many years.
The houses sit in lovely well maintained gardens, with plenty of space to move around.
I cannot recommend Nyton House highly enough, and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who works there, you have given us all peace of mind.
Dear Tracey, Thank you for your fantastic review of Nyton House. It's wonderful to hear such kind words about our home, and to know that the hard work that goes on behind the scenes is making a difference to our residents and their families.
Nyton House is a safe, clean, friendly caring residential home. Mum feels safe, she is well fed & cared for, the staff talk to mum as much as possible. I am always given a coffee during my visit to make the visit more like home. Her clothes are washed daily, her wishes are respected and her opinions are listened to and valued.
Dear Jane, thank you for your kind words. We appreciate you taking the time to review Nyton.
