I first came as a volunteer and immediately felt this is a good, well-run place (I am an experienced Care of the Elderly nurse and have often needed to 'place' patients in my care). I recommended RM to a friend who is now a resident and is very happy. The staff are all caring towards the residents.
Mum moved into Rosemary Mount from hospital after a short illness and I have to say I am immensely impressed by the professional approach afforded by all the care team. From the start, they have made her feel very welcome and have taken time and trouble to understand her needs and to develop an excellent care plan for her. The home is wonderful and feels like a home from home. All the team are friendly and positive whilst taking care to respect the dignity and personal needs of Mum. Within days we have seen a positive improvement in her manner and approach to life. Additionally, the team have taken time to explain things to the family at a time of stress and uncertainty. Thank you all once again.
Our dad is getting excellent care. The staff take the trouble to spend time with him and if we are worried about anything, they assure us that we can ring anytime to discuss our concerns. We always receive a warm welcome and they remember details about the family which shows they really care.
My mother has dementia and entered Rosemary Mount for respite. She had become very isolated at home despite lots of support. We were anxious as to how she would settle as she wanted to be in her own home but she was lonely and losing the will to do anything. She is now a new person. She is up and interested in what is going on. She has a lovely personalised room, she could not be cosier. Mum has made some new friends to chat to, it was lovely to arrive and see her out in the garden, something she has not done or been able to enjoy spontaneously for so long. The staff are just amazing, she absolutely sings their praises as do we. Mum has now decided to stay permanently and says this is the place she feels could be her home. This is a fantastic accolade, my family and I cannot thank Rosemary Mount staff enough as we were seeing mum retreat into a little shell and she has now blossomed. Thank you, you have given us back our mum and given her back choice and more control of her life.
My mother was at Rosemary Mount from 8/11/16 to 8/12/16 when she died. In the four weeks that she was there she was treated with dignity and very high care. Her last four weeks she was made very comfortable. I cannot thank you enough for how my Mum was looked after.
Staff are always very kind and keep residents comfortable. Everybody seems quite happy.
Without exception, the staff are friendly, approachable and kind. I am reassured that my Mother-in-law is being cared for in the best possible way. I am kept informed of any changes or developments in her condition and know that these are dealt with appropriatly. I cannot state strongly enough how relieved I am that she is in such a safe and caring environment.
Thanks to all involved from the bottom of my heart.
My mother lived in Rosemary Mount care home for over five years. Throughout her stay, she was treated with honesty, respect and a great deal of care and affection. In particular, towards the end of her stay, she was given every attention and assistance, for which my family is extremely grateful.
My mother moved to Rosemary Mount when her previous home closed earlier this year. Initially, we were upset that she had to be moved but soon found Rosemary Mount to be far superior to the previous home in every way. The home is very bright, clean and tidy, and well-run. Mum has a number of challenges including being registered blind, and the staff at Rosemary Mount treat her in a friendly and compassionate way. Her room is adequate, our only criticism is that she has the resident's call panel right outside her door which can be noisy. Mum is encouraged to join in activities and to use her walking frame to get about but likes to be left to sleep a lot of the time. It is appreciated that staff are also particularly welcoming to my father who likes to spend a fair amount of time with her. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found such a lovely "home from home" for Mum.
I have found this home to be excellent in every way. My aunt appears to be very happy here and I feel her quality of life has improved greatly. The staff are always very friendly and most helpful.
We as a family are really delighted with the way our brother is treated and cared for at Rosemary Mount, the food and the cleanliness is spot on and the care is perfect.
Very caring staff, helpful, good facilities and activities.
We are very pleased with the care provided at this care home. All of Mum's needs have been catered for and she is very content here.
I placed my mother here for respite. She was very quiet, unsteady on her feet with her walker and had no interest in anything and all she did was sleep. After two and a half weeks at this home my mother was alert, interacting with the other people in groups, walking better, more confident, eating better and all round a different person to the one I left. I feel this change was because she was relaxing with people her own age and the staff were showing her how to join in with games and exercise etc. They were also very good with her, with cleanliness, encouraging her to walk to the toilet, lounge etc and all round very attentive. When I arrived to take her home she said to me I will miss these people. That meant everything to my sister and myself and hope to use them again.
