We have been visiting her two to three times a week for a couple of hours and have to say that our impression of this establishment is 100%.
Infact although I am only at the tender age of 80 I asked for all the details of the operation such that should my wife or I be in a situation where we cannot look after ourselves, then this is the Care Home we would chose without a doubt.
The facilities look very good and the Staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Nothing appears to be too much trouble and like us my wife's cousins who is there 24/7 has the same view of the home.
All members of staff are so friendly, and nothing is no trouble. Very clean, beautiful outlook. The food looks and smells delicious. Bedrooms are spacious and well-equipped.
Dear A J, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
My Father was here for over a year. The staff all of them were lovely and caring. They acted professionally and provided my dad the care he needed up until he had to leave because he required more nursing care. He was comfortable, safe and happy at White Lodge. The staff always answered the phones and I always got answers to any questions I had. Dad's medical care / welfare was catered for and he was monitored and I was always updated. This Care home was always clean and tidy and had a homely feel about it. I would recommend White Lodge so glad I found this gem for Dad.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
The Team at White Lodge.
Very friendly, caring professional team. Home is well appointed, clean and creates a great atmosphere. Location excellent.
Hi JD, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
My uncle had a warm welcome as soon as he set food in White Lodge. From my point of view as his NOK this gives me such peace of mind knowing he is well looked after, safe and his needs are met on a daily basis, by dedicated staff who always have a warm smile on their face.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
After a tour of the rooms we decided this was the place we wanted our elderley mother to be looked after. The staff soon became friends and it was so reasuring to know that Mums care was second to none, keeping the family up to date with various medical issues that Mum had.
When she was in good health Mum was pleased to go down to the lounge to enjoy the many activities organised daily. We also remember all the colourful Summer garden parties, Christmas and raffles and the entertaining guest singers who were often brought into the home. Music and sing a longs was a real tonic for residents staff and visitors.
The whole family cannot fault White Lodge and we will be eternally grateful to you all.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
I couldn't be happier with the choice we made for mum. Emma and Lou have been brilliant and so supportive with mum's move, they have helped make what could have been a very stressful situation so easy, and both mum and I feel very supported. I can't thank them enough. Mum is being so well looked after in lovely surroundings with genuinely lovely people.
Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We will pass your kind words along to the team. Thank you.
I cannot express how wonderful all the staff are. Everyone is polite, approachable and absolutely delightful. They have made a very stressful time very easy. I highly recommend this wonderful home.
DearS-F,
Thank you for the review and for your kind words about our home.
The Team at White Lodge
I can thoroughly recommend White Lodge where my mother was resident for 4 years before moving onto a 'sister home'. Molly room 14, felt like part of the family there and although difficult to deal with my mother the staff were outstanding and maintained a great sense of humour.
Dear Willem,
Thank you for the review and for your kind words about our home.
The Team at White Lodge
My 95 year old father came to White Lodge initially for respite care after a spell in hospital. He then stayed as we felt it the best place for him rather than coming home. The care he received was outstanding. Nothing was too much effort and he was treated with dignity and patience and understanding. Every single member of staff were so kind, both to him and to anyone who visited.
White Lodge is like a home from home. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and as far as I could see, all the residents seemed very happy and settled. The food and choice of food is varied and delicious and if there was nothing on the menu my dad fancied he could ask for something different (usually ice cream)! There are daily activities which the residents can choose to take part in or not. They can be as sociable or as private as they wish and their choices are respected. I would recommend White Lodge to anyone who is looking for a friendly, caring, safe place for their loved one.
My mother was a resident at White Lodge for over 6 years until December 2024 when her care needs increased. She has therefore now moved to a nursing home run by the same company. She settled very well at White Lodge. She knew all the staff and they knew her and she had a good bond with them all. All the staff are friendly and respectful and go above and beyond to look after the residents. My mother much enjoyed the food and was able to have her favourite dishes. White Lodge have a very good range of activities. The manager and head of care are both very approachable and caring and do their best to make White Lodge a welcoming environment. I would recommend White Lodge.
I moved into White Lodge 18 months ago for a planned 6 week respite following a hospital stay. I opted to stay on a permanent basis having realised I was becoming incapable of living independently in my own home, a big step. White Lodge meet my needs for a smaller space property which made it made it feel more of a family home. Recognising my transition from living at home, I felt the whole team provided all of the necessary support and care to help me adjust. The food provided was far nicer to what I had been having. I would certainly recommend White Lodge to anybody looking for a new home.
Everyone was kind, helpful and cheerful and the food was great!
My mother had been in White Lodge and I had witnessed the exceptional care that she received, so I had no hesitation in recommending it for my mother-in-law when she needed care. I visit my mother-in-law nearly every day and I only ever see kindness and gentle care from the staff. The staff really get to know the residents and they know what each resident likes and dislikes.
We have found White Lodge welcoming, homely and very clean. The staff are always pleasant, helpful and nothing seems too much. The food is excellent and always looks appetising. There are plenty of activities for him to join in with, but no pressure if you don't want to.
We feel more than happy that he is living in a safe happy environment.
My mother went into the care home in May 2022. Since that time she has been extremely content there. She loves the stuff you have made her feel welcome and very much part of the family. Everyone we deal with puts Mum's wishes first and she is never compelled to do anything. Communication is to a very high standard and myself and my brother are kept fully informed of any issues. The food is wonderful and the home is always clean. The entertainment is amazing the two staff members in particular who do this are excellent.
She is looked after with kindness and dignity.
She has recently been very unwell and staff responded very quickly and as a result she has recovered well.
Our mum has been at White Lodge for just over a year. It's in a lovely, quiet location with a pretty garden to sit in or take part in fair-weather activities. The home is not too big, therefore has a very homely feel. We always receive a warm, friendly welcome from all the staff, who are always approachable and helpful, no matter how busy they are. Mum really enjoys the activities and her meal times. It's such a comfort knowing that she is safe, happy and well looked after. Thank you White Lodge.
My mother was a resident at White Lodge for 18 months. She was very happy with the care and attention she was given over that time. Mum felt very lucky to have been there. She was always treated with respect as well as an individual. The garden as well as the location suited Mum very well. The staff were always kind and attentive to her needs, they liaised with the doctor or medical people when needed. The staff worked well together and supported each other with their workloads. I could not have managed Mum on my own and have been very grateful for all the care she received over the time she was at White Lodge. Well done to all for a well-run, clean, and homely residential home. Thank you.
My mother arrived in White Lodge in January 2022. Management and all staff have been caring, lovely, thoughtful and supportive from day one. It really is home! My mother was never alone, many staff stopped and talk to her (like helpful friends). Extremely kind, caring and a very lovely place to be, so supportive. Many thanks to all the team.

Meet the Team (4)

"Welcome to White Lodge. For over two decades, White Lodge has been my professional home. Having worked across a variety of roles before becoming Registered Manager, I have come to know every facet of this home - our people, our culture, our history, and, most importantly, the values that make it such a special place.
My priority is ensuring every family feels reassured, welcomed, and confident from the moment they step through our door. I want our residents to feel safe, valued, and truly at home, while their families know they are always listened to, supported, and involved.
Visitors regularly tell us how warm, clean, and beautifully maintained White Lodge is, often noting that it feels much more like a lively family home than a care setting. We operate an open-door policy, welcoming loved ones to visit freely between 8 am and 8 pm. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea, joining in an activity, or simply sitting together in our beautiful south-facing garden, families remain a vital part of everyday life here.
I am incredibly proud of our dedicated team, many of whom have been with us for years. Their compassion, commitment, and genuine relationships with our residents are at the heart of the care we provide.
We are also deeply rooted in the East Preston community. Many of our staff live locally, sharing a genuine passion for the area. We maintain strong links with local schools and nurseries, whose children visit regularly, and love taking part in key village traditions like the East Preston Festival and St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival.
My promise to every family is simple: to provide a home where your loved one is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect, and where you will always feel welcome, informed, and involved. I look forward to personally welcoming you to White Lodge and showing you why so many families place their trust in us.
