My husband and I have had the greatest support and guidance to a very lengthy and stressful council process getting my grandmother into the Gables as she has never been in a home we had our doubts she would be able to adjust. With thew warmest/friendliest team this is certainly not the issue. She absolutely loves it! Thank you to the Gable team.

After a two-week Covid quarantine, Mum is settling in well and making new friends, participating in the activities and enjoying the food. The staff have been attentive and caring, and we look forward to visiting when conditions allow.

My aunt has been in The Gables for over two years. She has always been shown the greatest of respect, and the best care has been given to her. At 99, she has become very frail. I am very assured that she is well cared for and her needs are met by the dedicated staff.

My experience with The Gables is more than satisfactory. Excellent staff and management. Very helpful and kind. Due to COVID, we have not been able to view Mum's room, but visited a friend in 2018 and was very impressed with cleanliness and atmosphere.

My mother was a resident at The Gables for over 5-years.
During that time she received exceptional care from the staff who all went above and beyond, taking the time to get to know her and giving her individual care, even holding a special Australian day party for her.
The home has high standards of cleanliness and a feeling of home from home, providing enjoyable entertainment even in the lockdown. All the staff are marvellous and are very welcoming at all times, keeping family informed as to what is happening with regular newsletters and telephone updates.

I could not have found a better home to meet my mother's needs, and I cannot praise all the staff enough.

I was very grateful for The Gables at Chatteris. My dad was only there for about six weeks and he was bedridden most of the time but the carers couldn't have done more than they did. They kept him as comfortable and pain-free as possible, would recommend the home to anyone.

Mum came to live at The Gables after a hospital stay. She has problems swallowing food and had lost confidence in living independently. The manager and her staff have begun to build her confidence in eating and the care they are providing is exceptional. Mum enjoys the social side, company and entertainment, she now has peace of mind that if she has any worries or problems there is always somebody there that she can speak to.

A very friendly care home, staff polite, always willing to help, nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent, cleanliness is superb. Always made to feel at home. My first impression when I visited was that I felt comfortable and happy so, therefore, was willing to let my mum stay there and she has nothing but praise for everything.

The home is kept really clean. Wonderful devoted carers and management. All home-cooked food and they will cater to all different tastes and dietary requirements. The laundry is just as you would do yourself. No stains and ironed lovely. Marvellous entertainment organised, singing etc, also exercise plan in place. The manager keeps you informed of anything needed or if the resident is not well. In-house hairdressing if wanted. Could not fault anything. Very impressed.

My great uncle was recently lucky enough to spend a 2 week period in The Gables due to his daughter (who he is currently residing with) going on holiday.
I visited him once during the fortnight along with my mum and sister, my sister was able to visit a further 2 times.
On each visit, the home, facilities and staff were absolutely faultless.
I can honestly say that we were made to feel more welcome than when we visit my great uncle in his current place of residence, we were treated better than we are by our own family.
He looked so well and much happier than we have seen him for a long time, it was truly lovely to see. My sister has 2 small children, the staff embraced the 2 visits they made to their great great uncle, nothing was too much trouble.
The day I visited, I was told that if we had phoned ahead the kitchen would have provided us with a meal to eat along with my uncle, how kind!

We all left the Gables wishing that our great uncle was a permanent resident there. Well done all!

My mother-in-law had been in The Gables Chatteris for a year and the love and care given to her is above and beyond the carers 'just doing a job'.
The standard of everything is wonderful and very much appreciated by myself and the rest of the family.
We know she was loved genuinely by all the staff and her care was exceptional.
I cannot praise the staff enough as it helped the family to know she was in good hands.
Sadly my mother-in-law has now passed away and the way that the carers handled the death was beautiful.
When my mother-in-law was fading, the staff kept a wonderful standard of love and care that she received all through her stay. Also, when we came back to say our goodbyes to mum, the girls had made her look so lovely and at peace. The girls had even taken the trouble to pick snowdrops from the garden to place in her hands.

We will always be eternally grateful to these lovely people for their love and devotion with mum and would highly recommend The Gables and staff to anyone.

Upon my initial visit to The Gables, I was instantly impressed with the most professional, friendly and caring attitude of all members of staff. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the gardens most welcoming.
Leaving your loved one in the care of strangers is, to say the least, very scary.
However, some eighteen days later, my father is thoroughly enjoying living at The Gables. Thankfully my initial impressions were well founded.

Every member of staff is thoroughly accommodating, nothing is too much trouble and my family and I are always made welcome with a smile from our newly acquainted friends who are strangers no more.

A very warm light and airy care home the manager and staff are extremely friendly and helpful and treat the residents with dignity and respect and when they talk to them it is as an equal and not as if they were talking to a child which I have witnessed in other institutions. The food is also of a high standard.

I hope the manager and her dedicated staff (angels in disguise) of The Gables get the recognition and praise they deserve. My father spent the final months of his life in the care of The Gables and I do not know how to praise or thank them enough for the love and care he received. He loved his carers as they were so kind and helpful to him. He enjoyed the many activities they arranged for the residents. He even had a lovely day at Springfields in Spalding. Most of all he enjoyed the delicious food cooked by the staff and fish and chip Friday. They all had time for him which we and he appreciated very much.

What a warm wonderful place. The staff were so lovely, warm and caring with my Grandad and his family. He was treated with respect and dignity. I would highly recommend this care home to others. My Grandad was looked after so well and he loved the staff. There were so many activities, everywhere was clean and it really was like being at home for him, what really made it here were the kind and caring staff.
