Hardwick Dene

I believe they are key to my mother's well-being and have always been pleased with the care and attention they give her - despite some challenging circumstances on occasion.

I came to visit my Mum's friend. She was very happy. The staff are so friendly and I felt welcome. I visited around lunchtime and the food looked lovely. The home smelt fresh and clean.

It took one phone call at a time when I could not cope with my father's care 24 hours, for him to be collected and settled in his new room the same day.

My father receives the best possible care from kind and caring professionals, they go above and beyond what would be expected, making sure their wellbeing, interests, medical and personal needs are met. They have also been a huge support to me and my family.

The home is lovely, staff are great and good facilities. Staff do a great job in all aspects clean and tidy.

Since mum came into the home she hasn't had any bouts of hallucinations etc. I'm sure it's due to the care and company that she gets. I have complete confidence in the staff and know that she will be well looked after if she is ever ill. Many thanks.

The staff sat with the family, chatted and listened and made us smile. The staff all do a most amazing job and we are so grateful for everything.

My sister-in-law was discharged from hopsital in a confused state on the 28th of January, having been admitted on the 20th of January after a fall at home. She is 84 years old, frail and confused and was taken to the home by a volunteer and virtually left to her own devices.

My wife and I travelled 40 miles to be with her but being of similar age, realised we could do very little for her. We rang several care homes but it was Hardwick Dene who immediately said they would accept her and have been superb with her ever since.

Mum was cared for professionally but more importantly as one of the family. Staff were excellent over Mum's 6-year stay, we can't thank them enough for their care of what could be described as a strong-willed. Brilliant in every way and would advise you to consider this home for your relative or friend. It was always good to come away from the home knowing Mum was safe and in good hands.

I cannot praise Hardwick Dene enough, the care and attention my stepmother had was extremely good, any time I asked for some small thing for her, they sorted it out immediately. In her last hours they were very attentive to her and us, she enjoyed her short stay with them until she became ill again. When she was going to them three times a week earlier in the year for day care, she loved it. I was at peace knowing she was fully cared for plus they made sure she ate and drank properly. I wish all care homes were as good.

Hardwick Dene exudes warmth and compassion from day one. Having cared for my mother for 7 years myself, I wanted a cosy homely feel for her to feel safe. Management and Staff are all so wonderful and committed. Initially Mum stayed for respite but was soon happy to stay longer, she is very happy and loves the super home cooked food and many activities on offer. She always looks very well cared for and has her hair done each week. Staff are so caring and always take time with visitors, nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and the room is comfortable with en-suite. I cannot praise Hardwick Dene enough. The atmosphere is so relaxing and its always a pleasure to visit.
