I would have liked to have seen more activities for dementia residents.
There may well have been some engaging and stimulating activities on days when we were not visiting.

Excellent meals and snacks provided.

Review from K B (Wife of Resident) published on 18 November 2015 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My husband admitted for care in mid August suffering from vascular dementia. After eight weeks of a happy residing he developed night time anxiety, needing one to one care. During the following four weeks of similar behaviour,n the staff and management were full of support in every way possible and he was moved to a nursing home. The support of the staff and management for the family also was of the highest quality. Thank you to all of them.

The activities organiser goes the extra mile. Organising tea parties etc.
Food is always nice and plenty of it, with cakes mid afternoon, and tea and coffee readily available.
Residents are clean - the home is clean and fresh.
Outings and trips every Wednesday.

Chaplain/Church available for those who wish. Family and friendly.

I enjoy organising activities in the home because it allows me to use my creative talents in artwork, cooking, dancing and flower arranging. Communication is key, and I love when residents come to talk with me or ask for support with activities they enjoy. I have over a year of frontline care experience, which I bring to my role at Home Meadow.

I enjoy spending time with the residents and keeping them happy each day. I am always glad to help with anything they need, whether that is changing a battery, fixing heating issues, decorating, or doing general maintenance to make their rooms feel homely. With 19 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Dubai and Bahrain, I bring strong practical skills to Home Meadow, along with ongoing Healthcare Homes training, fire marshal training and water hygiene monitoring to help keep the home safe and running smoothly.
