Lyncroft has very caring staff. They will stop in their tracks amidst a resident who is in need of attention. The staff are polite and helpful to the resident's family. The home is clean and practical. At present, there are alterations being completed. This has been achieved by ensuring the development

The care which mum receives is very good. The food lets it down the most "chips with everything" and "tough meat" is not what I expect to hear.
Recording that mum does not like the chips or sandwiches seem to always be an issue - allergies can be recorded - why not that and the constant "we have no
yoghurts"!
Bit of an issue with clothing going adrift in the laundry we have to keep an eye on.

I think the staff do a good job as a whole. Seen a couple of incidents of staff speaking quite strongly to the residents, which I wasn’t too impressed with but understand that sometimes the residents can be hard work. I also think that a lot of the furniture and fittings are past their best, some of
the armchairs in the lounge are in a bad way, scruffy and stained. Also, some of the dinner tables and chairs aren’t in the best condition. Another example is in my gran's bedroom, her bedside cabinet - the wood effect is all peeling off the draw but I can say that she has seemed to settle there and the staff are always nice to her, thanks.

Lyncroft Care Home is a very caring place for people like my mother who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease. They understand her illness and know how to cope with her more challenging behaviour - and how to encourage her to participate and engage with other people. Most importantly, they make her feel
safe and cared for in a world which, due to her illness, can be a very frightening place.


We now have the comfort of knowing that she is in a place where she is well cared for and where they organise events - large and small - to entertain, stimulate and occupy her. Oh, and the food is very good too!

Since my nan has become a resident at Lyncroft care home she has improved dramatically! She has put on weight, cares about her appearance and has found a new lease of life. She goes out regularly and joins in most activities going on in the home, she loves being involved and helping where she can. We
can't thank Lyncroft enough for all they do!

When mum moved into Lyncroft Care Home, of course, it was such a worry as all families experience.
When we visited a few days after her move, we were so comforted by the fact she was joining in social activities, making friends and was happier than we had seen her for years.
Mum has been diagnosed
with Alzheimer's, and Vascular Dementia, and had been refusing all intervention from her carers at home.
Since living at Lyncroft, mum has a new beginning and her life had become so much richer.
Living at home was refusing all food and had lost so mush weight. Now mum has been putting on weight, eating all her meals, and it has been such a transformation. Thank you to the manager and the team. You are all stars !!

The staff at the care home are all lovely and have slot of time for the residents. They are always doing fun things and days out with them and my old neighbour is happy there.
When I've been to visit, it's always been lovely and clean and her room is always clean and tidy too.

Formal managers good. Recent change of management excellent. Now looks smarter as a building inside and out. Staff more relaxed and extra staff to support the residents. Food choice and quality very good. Always there to answer any questions. We have found the carers very dedicated and caring often
sitting with my mother talking to her. Her last few days again staff sitting with her and showing compassion to her. Her last night a carer was with her during the night which was much appreciated be her family. We have found her stay exceptional and excellent care. Thank you to Lyncroft.

Clair has worked at Lyncroft Care Home for ten years starting as a kitchen assistant and then moving over to care.


Clair has worked her way to Deputy Manager, now Home Manager, she loves Lyncroft as it's like one big family. The staff make it like family, now with Clair leading the team.
