It is impossible to express how lucky and grateful we feel that mum was in the care of the staff at Chiswick House in the last month of her life. It was very hard to hand over the care to other people but on meeting the staff we felt we had found an extension of our family and we knew mum was in very safe, capable and loving hands. Everyone treated mum with dignity and respect, she felt safe and secure. We couldn't have asked for more and thank the staff from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for taking the time to share your kind thoughts about Chiswick House. We will share your comments with the team at the home.
They did everything possible they could to make the stay enjoyable also the food cooked fresh every day and the activities and outings as well.
Thank you for your lovely comments, we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Chiswick House.
Friendly welcome. Nice ambeiance internally. Residents looked happy & relaxed, participating in 'armchair bowls' - It looked a lot of fun! Loved the homely touches - fresh flowers, nice garden, plants. Easy access to garden, from conservatory. Excellent daily activities staff very approachable and friendly.
Thank you for your lovely comments about Chiswick House and the team, we will pass your comments on to them.
My husband has been a resident of Chiswick House for several months, and as he is becoming increasingly frail and in need of plenty of support for basic tasks the carers have masses that needs their attention. I am very comforted and impressed by the kindness and thoughtfulness that I have witnessed, and find it is comforting for me to see he is in such capable hands. So THANK YOU to all at Chiswick House.
Thank you for your lovely, positive comments about the care and support your husband is receiving at Chirwick House.
My mum reluctantly had to find a place in care, march 2025, we looked at several homes around Norwich. Chiswick house felt like a real 'home' from the moment we went in. Staff were lovely and we knew mum would like it. The staff have taken every step to settle mum in, she loves the food and her gluten free diet has been catered for. The activities, run by Kate, and daily fitness class are great and keep mum active. Great staff that work as a team and lead very well by Mariana.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about Chiswick House - we're so pleased you are reassured that you have chosen the right home for yur mum and she is settled and happy at the home.
A great care home. Lovely staff, well run. Great food. Lovely activities. If you are considering a care home for a relative, don't hesitate in choosing this one. We looked at several in the area, large soulless ones which looked great but seemed empty. However chiswick house was our choice as it feels more homely. Rooms are kept clean, issues are resolved, staff are lovely and genuinely care. We visit 3/4 times a week so see the care home operating throughout the week. A great care home. Thanks to all the staff.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. We're very keen to promote our home as a homely, welcoming place for residents and their loved ones.
My father took up residence at Chiswick House at the end of December 2023. He had some falls in the early months requiring hospital care which was dealt with well by the home even though the ambulance took over three hours to respond. He feels at home in Chiswick House but considers there could be improvements in residents washing facilities.
My mum is very happy at Chiswick House. The rooms are very clean and the food good. There are a lot of great activities which my mum really enjoys. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are extremely caring. When I visit, I always feel welcomed as the staff are so friendly.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. The teams are thrilled to hear this, and feel privileged to support mum at the home.
My excellent experience began when I first met the manager. This lady is a credit to her position, and represents everything about the home, as I later discovered. The fact that my resident friend feels comfortable with the very supportive staff is clear every time I visit.
Interesting activities and visits are arranged, and there is always some activity on offer.
The food is excellent, and the medical care is attentive.
Mum is, most importantly, very happy and always talks about the kindness of staff.
When visiting, I always feel welcomed as if visiting a friend's home.
This is a beautiful home run by dedicated and caring staff. The rooms are pleasant and the gardens impressive. My mum-in-law chose to come to live here and she has thrived and improved in health since moving in. My husband and I are happy that his mum is well looked after, she has everything she needs and is happy and relaxed. When we visit, we are treated with kindness, respect and hospitality and we enjoy our time there.
The staff were very pleasant and always willing to help. The rooms were kept perfectly clean every day. The food was excellent. Really enjoyed staying at Chiswick House and look forward to staying again.
From the first visit, we knew that my father would be happy having respite care here. He is an active and sociable 90-year-old who loved every minute of his three and half week stay. While there, he had a minor health issue which was referred to a GP as a temporary patient and he was treated quickly and appropriately. This enabled our family to know that we could all feel confident and relaxed and all enjoy our holiday. He can't wait to have a return holiday!
Mum lived very successfully, happily and contentedly at Chiswick House Care Home for eight years until her end of life in February 2023. The end-of-life care that Mum received from the manager, deputy manager, all care staff and the dedicated end-of-life staff member was outstanding and exceptional. Mum was cared for so well right up to the end, with family members given time, food, drink, listening ears, compassion and inclusivity, enabling us to spend time with Mum and be with her every minute until she died. On behalf of my whole family, we will always be grateful to the wonderful team at Chiswick House for making Chiswick Mum's home, for welcoming us all (and our dogs) throughout the eight years, for giving Mum personal care throughout her life and end days. You could not have done any more and we all thank you very, very much.
Thank you so much for your kind words, which the team have deeply appreciated. The whole team feel that it has been a pleasure and privilege to support Mum and all her family (including the dogs) throughout her life at Chiswick House. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered fondly.
They all took the trouble to get to know Dad and know what he liked and wanted, when he needed gentle encouragement, or needed to be left alone. I could not recommend this home more highly. I knew it the second I walked through the door. The whole feeling is light, airy and above all friendly.
I felt really protective and responsible for doing the right thing by my lovely dad and sending him to Chiswick was absolutely the right thing. This will give me peace forever and that is priceless.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The team always take great pride in supporting each person as an individual and receiving this feedback has fuelled that further. They feel privileged to have been able to support your dad and his family, as part of the Chiswick House community.
The manager at Chiswick House could not have been more helpful. The manager and her staff team work tirelessly to ensure every resident lives their best life.
My husband and I both commented only a couple of weeks ago that Mum was the best we had seen her in recent years. Well done and thank you Chiswick!
Thank you, the team were thrilled to hear these kind words. It was a real pleasure to get to know and support your mum at Chiswick House. Her love of music and people will be an ongoing memory for us all.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Chiswick House Care Home for over six years and throughout this time she has had a very good experience. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the facilities are excellent and the care staff are always attentive and friendly. Residents are treated as individuals and their own preferences and needs are always taken careful note of. Chiswick House has a family atmosphere and my mother-in-law could not have had a better experience of care. I would certainly recommend the home to friends.
My mother is warm and safe, she is allowed visitors according to whatever ‘rules’ are in place. She is also allowed to take walks outside, weather permitting, in her wheelchair to gain fresh air and see what is going on in the area.
All food is baked onsite and is delicious, in the past when I was able to stay for a meal it was always so tasty. Mum has a choice of what she likes to eat.
The staff are so patient, kind and caring, I can’t think of a better place for Mum to live.
Chiswick House Care Home have been looking after my gran for over seven years and have always been highly professional. The food is excellent and the manager and deputy work brilliantly together. They have been exceptional with getting contact with her whenever we call and everyone is so friendly and accomodating.
