Chiswick House Care Home is warm and safe. The staff work really hard and are always on hand to help when we call to speak to Gran. They are well trained and always cater to her needs.
Gran's needs are always met and when we suggest new things for her to eat they always try to help, she doesn't eat alot but when she does they always take it on board.
It's great that she is alot out and to have visitors as this is so good for her mental health and really gives her something to focus on.

Keep up the good work.

My gran is a resident at Chiswick House Care Home. I phone the home to speak to her regularly and they are always so helpful and caring. Gran feels safe and the staff work very hard to preserve her dignity whilst ensuring she is well looked after. Gran always mentions how nice the food is and how the staff cater for all of her requests. The manager and deputy manager are always incredibly helpful. Gran is allowed visitors and is also allowed out of the house, this has meant that Gran has been able to spend quality time with her great-grandchildren who she loves. This has helped so much in promoting Gran's mental health. Thank you Chiswick House for everything you do for my gran.

My mother has been a resident at Chiswick House Care Home for seven years and is being cared for extremely well. The manager, deputy manager and all the staff are very caring and patient. They work very hard to ensure Mum’s needs are met. Mum is allowed visitors and trips out to promote her mental health and wellbeing. The food is well prepared and Mum's needs and requests are always catered for. There is entertainment in the afternoons if any resident chooses to join in. Mum is happy amongst all the carers who she has got to know and trust.

Tell the owners and managers of Chiswick House to fix the TV in the resident's rooms.
This is an important part of the resident’s independence; to watch what they like in their own private place.
The change over from analogue to digital TV required new, higher quality aerials. Old, badly maintained installations often need re-wiring. The symptoms are frozen pictures or channel signal strength too weak to tune.
Residents rarely complain. Signals that are ‘on the borderline' often deteriorate in extreme weather.
The management of Chiswick House should know that if their Maintenance Manager can’t fix the problem when the families of the residence complain, a local Aerial Service company will know exactly what is required. Especially as this has been unsolved for many years!
It took them (Chiswick House) 15 months to supply adequate WiFi during the lockdown. How long will it take them to provide adequate TV service in the bedrooms!? If the head office management doesn’t know how to do this employ a local company who do know how to do this!

Our Mum pays enough to deserve better service from Chiswick House.

Friendly and welcoming staff and management. The adaptation and resourcefulness during the pandemic have been really outstanding. Excellent communications and genuinely caring service provision, they do a difficult and demanding job well, cheerfully and with humanity.

The social elevation of care staff is long overdue: at Chiswick House, the 'key worker' status of the manager and all staff, including kitchen and caretaker, has never been in doubt to me. My friend was a resident there for 6-years: a man with severe mobility issues and a difficult temperament. Through choice, he never socialised nor took any part in the extensive and daily activities available. And yet, I never felt that he was excluded from the 'society' of the home. The treatment he received was always attentive, very personal and very human. I was always consulted/informed about every issue regarding his care. He, himself, could tell me the name of each carer attending to him. I never felt anything but confidence and gratitude about his stay at the home. As a measure of my esteem for the home, I invited the manager to read at my friend's funeral, and his two favourite assistants also attended the service. To my mind, the manager and the staff elevate the meaning of the care service.

• Resident for over a year Dad has loved his new home as staff and residents have been so friendly and kind. The staff are so professional and caring - a constant reassurance to us, he is in the safest and best place.
• Extremely well-managed with care of the highest standard both day and night. When medical attention was needed it was immediately provided with excellent follow up from staff and the doctor.
• Quality and variety of food is excellent and birthdays really special.
• Dad loves the daily varied and excellent entertainment (staff are improvising with some great ideas during lockdown) Every effort is made to protect the staff and residents from Covid-19.
• Residents are well-respected and their views are taken into account in monthly residents’ meetings.
• Communication is excellent and nothing too much trouble for the staff.
• No hesitation in recommending this residential home to anyone.

• It really is his home and feels like it both for Dad and for us.

I have already recommended Chiswick House many times. They are exceptional providing excellent individualised care with real attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble. They were a second family to my father. They took time to help him settle in and encouraged him to engage with the wider community of residents. Everything stems from a brilliant management team and staff who work well together. They enjoy their work and take a real interest and really understood Dad’s needs. My father would never have wanted to be in a care home but when he had a stroke he needed additional care. The care home never stopped thinking how they could improve. We visited most days and were always welcomed it was like visiting him in his own home. Without exception there is a feeling of calm with all residents seeming happy and content. My father passed away naturally and the care home treated him with such dignity. If he had not been happy I know he would have chosen to have gone sooner. Thank you

Chiswick House has provided excellent care for my mother for over 4 years. The carers are kind, thoughtful and resourceful. They like the residents and spend time with them making sure that the residents are known as individuals.
Personal care is provided with respect.
The home acts as a powerful advocate for the residents, ensuring that other agencies work to meet the residents' needs e.g. Liaising with GPs, hospital etc.
The home provides a wide range of activities and entertainment and ensures that residents who want to, can access the wider communities e.g. Theatre, shopping etc.
Relatives and friends are warmly welcomed by the staff with no barriers to visiting.
The food is freshly cooked with fresh ingredients with individual preferences accommodated.

The premises are comfortable and clean with a lovely accessible garden. My mother has favourite pieces of her own furniture in her room making sure she feels at home.

Mum stayed in Chiswick house for seven months. The quality of care delivered by all the staff meant that she settled in very quickly and had a very enjoyable, safe and comfortable stay. The staff team, to a person, are all very pleasant and take time to know the residents. The quality of food and the effort put into meal time is excellent. When I visited my Mum, staff know who I was and kept me well informed of Mum's issues and achievements of the week. Mum clearly benefited from her stay, enjoying improved health and feeling supported as an individual.

My wife and I had visited ten care homes in the Norwich area prior to discovering Chiswick House. On meeting the manager I instinctively knew our search was over! The home exudes warmth, compassion and you immediately feel welcome. The staff of varying ages and experience, are always cheery yet act in a professional manner. The residents appear happy and content; the atmosphere being calm and relaxed. My own mother had a number of challenging needs, but the staff never gave up and sought differing ways to assist her. A wonderful and caring home for our mother.

The decision to give up independent living and the move to a residential home can be a time of great concern for individuals and their families. Mum's move to Chiswick House couldn't have been smoother, more reassuring or more effective. The manager and her staff are attentive and caring. We know that mum is being well looked after and she feels safe with round the clock care which means we are also secure knowing we've done the best thing for her.

Both the exterior and interior of Chiswick House are well maintained and welcoming. The level of cleanliness throughout is extremely high. There is a high level of staffing and facilities. The meals prepared by the house chef are appetising and delicious. It's no coincidence that our visits our between 11:30 and 1:30pm, of course, we are there to see mum but anticipation runs high when the dessert trolley appears.

I have lived at Chiswick House for 3 years now, and I like that my daughters can visit whenever they want to and bring their dogs if they have them with them. My bedroom is very quiet and peaceful and I like watching TV in there. I like being near enough to the park and garden centre for my daughter to push me there in my wheelchair. Everyone here works very hard to look after me, thank you.
