Dorrington House is very homely and staff always make me feel welcome when visiting Dad. They have been very understanding and supportive helping us understand Dad's condition now. I would like to see some of the staff engage more with residents, but this is only a few as most of them do chat when they have time.

It is hard to get activities organised, but it would be nice to see things in the Bluebell Lounge where Dad is. Also, I would like spiritual support for the residents that want it. Again, Bluebell misses out on this. On the whole, I just want to say thank you.

I've found all the carers I've met to be very, very helpful and kind and also the management is on hand to answer any questions I have.

I find my mum to be treated with a lot of dignity and respect. Excellent.

My family and I have found Dorrington House to be a very friendly place to come and visit and know that my husband is safe and cared for. I have no problem in recommending this care home.

My mum went to Dorrington House for respite care, which became longer term. The home is always clean, the staff are always visible / easy to find and available to talk to. They treated my mum with care, understanding and respect.

I would happily stay there when I need care and am unable to remain in my own home.

My mother has been extremely reluctant to accept that she is unable to live independently at home. The care and attention she has received since being admitted to Dorrington House has been appropriate and every attempt made to put her at ease and every attempt made to put her at ease and cared for in the home.

My late wife's sister was placed in Dorrington House together with her husband at their request (her husband has since died). Her condition has since deteriorated and she is dependant upon the staff at the home for everything. The staff at the home are professional, caring and I have complete faith in their care of my sister in law. She always seems in good spirits and happy. She is also monitored as regards her health and sees the doctor if necessary. I have great comfort in knowing she is in good hands.

My husband has been in Dorrington House (watton) for over two years now and has been very well looked after and until fairly recently the staff have managed to keep him very involved with life and actually joining in sometimes. Sadly now due to his illness and age, he is less able to participate however when visited he always seems content and happy in his own world and obviously feels 'safe'! The staff are always friendly and helpful. I should perhaps mention that my husband can be very aggressive and violent at times.

My brother, who is 83, suffers from dementia but when myself and my family visit him we have always found that he is being treated well by staff. He can be difficult at times if he does not wish to wash or dress, but the staff seem to find ways of persuading him with chocolate treats, which he loves.

The staff are very good and do try to help as much as they can, but there are some who do not bother about the truth and to me that is most important.

My wife and I have visited a number of nursing homes over the years, mostly visiting family and friends, none of them met the very high standards of Dorrington House. We always get a phone call whenever there appears to be some need for concern, and at Christmas time and birthdays we receive photos of my sister-in-law.
My brother who died 18 months ago was a resident, all the staff there are kind, loving, compassionate, informative, polite and understanding.

Residents are treated with dignity - I have often said to my wife that should I ever need to go into a nursing home. I would hope it would be of this standard - me (my wife and I) have complete peace of mind in regards to our much loved sister-in-law.
