Dorrington House (Dereham)

Very clean home. Carers are doing their 100% and more. Residents seem very happy.

My sister has been here just over a year and has done well. She has had falls which have been dealt with appropriately and professionally. There have been hospital appointments which have been dealt with to our satisfaction. All good with sincere thanks.

Very nice establishment and clean. The staff have always been very polite, friendly and helpful. Many years ago my grandfather's father was in this establishment and now my grandfather is.

I was concerned about leaving Mum in respite care for the first time but Dorrington House staff and management were wonderful in working with us to settle her in. We were more than happy with the care Mum received during her stay and we would use Dorrington House again.

We used Dorrington House (Dereham) for a two week respite care period for my mother-in-law who has dementia. Staff and management were really supportive in taking into consideration specific needs and requests in the care plan. We felt confidence leaving Mum and were reassured every time we rang. On picking Mum up, she was happy and enjoyed her stay. I would not hesitate to use Dorrington House again.

Everyone is so friendly and caring. They look after our dad very well. We are pleased with how well he is looked after and cared for. He seems very happy.

Since my mum has been in Dorrington House, we have noticed such an improvement in her general mental and physical well-being. The staff are just amazing and treat my mum with such respect and dignity. I can't say what peace of mind it has given me to know she is safe and well looked after. I've found everybody to be very helpful and always smiling, nothing is ever too much trouble. It's a lovely place to live for those unable to live alone anymore.

The King's Coronation Part, what a joyous time was had by all the residents and families who popped in! I really enjoyed a good sing-along. Visiting my mum is never a chore as the staff are absolutely amazing, caring and kind. Nothing is ever too much trouble their home is your home. Awards should b given.

I am quite happy with my husband's care. Staff are always helpful and friendly, I have found all the staff cheerful and welcoming and happy to have the dog visiting, which is very important to my husband.

It's like a home from home. I love to see Mum active and involved in social and craft events via the social media page. Always she is very clean, well fed and engaged in Dorrington, I could not wish for a better place for Mum.

It is a pleasure to speak on the phone to the wonderful staff. The home is pleasant in lovely surroundings and there is always plenty of activities and things to do. My mother could not be in a better place and that gives me such peace of mind.

I am so impressed with how homely and welcoming Dorrington House staff have been towards my nan. She has settled in extremely quickly and is more than happy with her new home. The staff have clearly taken the time to get to know Nan, her preferences and her personality. The management of the home made the move for us as a family very straightforward and stress-free sorting everything out for us. The little things really make the biggest difference.

My friend was moved here from a different home. I am so pleased with the care she is receiving here. Since arriving she has been happier and better cared for. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is an excellent atmosphere.

In the short time, my dad stayed at Dorrington House we were struck by how caring all the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. The team leader even came in on her day off to see how my dad was. All the staff took time to explain how my dad was and the process of palliative care was also explained. One person, in particular, was exceptional in her listening, she is a credit to your team.

My wife is a resident of this care home. She has been there for over two years now and the care she gets from the staff and management, in my opinion, is first-class. I only have praise for all involved in the running of this home.

The moment I walk through the doors of Dorrington House (Dereham) I knew my husband would be happy. The gardens are beautiful and the staff are all very caring and treat my husband with dignity.
