I visit an old neighbour once a week at Heathcote. Staff are always chirpy and very welcoming. My friend always tells me when I visit how kind all the staff are to him, and he enjoys all the lovely home-cooked meals.
Thank you for your kind comments about the care and support your friend is receiving at Heathcote.
My fmaily and I are very happy with my brothers staying here. He is being well cared for and fed well as he has put on weight.
Thank you for your positive comments. We're pleased that you are happy with how well you brother is doing at Heathcote.
Heathcote is a genuinely welcoming home with a lovely family feel and this is credit to the home manager and all the team working there, their professionalism and passion to create this family atmosphere. I have nothing but praise for the excellent level of care and support my mother received, and I cannot recommend this home enough.
thank you for your kind words which I will ensure are passed onto our staff and management. Your mother will be deeply missed and will also be part of the Heathcote family. Our door is always open for you and your family.
I felt that I was in safe, caring hands throughout. Thank you.
Staff are always smiling and seem happy. A good variety of activities available.
Good quality meals. Good location to the city. Management are very approachable.
My stepmum stayed at Heathcote Care Home for a 2-month period following a stroke. Although it was a difficult time for her and me, the care she received was wonderful. The staff constantly went above and beyond to help her to settle in and demonstrated real kindness and compassion every day of her stay. As a relative, I also felt listened to and supported by managers and care staff throughout that period.
Looked after my father with a stroke - excellent - very caring and thoughtful, kind and considerate and very attentive to my mother after he passed away.
Very friendly residential home.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We will pass this onto the team, who took great pride in caring for your dad and continue to do so with Mum too.
Mum has been staying at Heathcote for a fortnight while we went on holiday for two weeks. This is her third stay (previously June for a week and December-March while recovering from a fall and hospital stay). Mum is so happy to stay here. All the carers are outstanding; kind, patient, and give her lots of time and conversation. She enjoys the meals and although she doesn't partake in activities, the activities coordinator calls in to see her for a chat. Excellent work from the manager and all the team.
Thank you for your lovely feedback, we shall pass this to the team. It has been a pleasure to support your mum while she has stayed with us each time and we look forward to welcoming her back if our support is needed again in the future.
I had struggled with working and caring for my father and all that entailed for some time. I did not wish to place him in care as I was concerned by the reports about the level or lack of care given by some companies. However, we happened upon Heathcote which has completely changed my opinions. The staff are wonderful, kind, patient and caring. My father is clean, tidy and well cared for. The relief of knowing his needs are met and he is safe and secure and wonderful. He is happy and so am I. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind feedback, which the team will be pleased to hear. It is always lovely to get positive feedback here at Heathcote. It is an absolute pleasure to look after your dad, particularly with his wonderful sense of humour.
I visit my gramps once a month and he always has a smile on his face and he speaks so fondly of all the staff. Staff at Heathcote are amazing. Always seem to go above and beyond and the happiness and laughter the home is filled with is so lovely to see. I can go away knowing my gramps is being loved and cared for by people who consider him family. Heathcote really is a home full of love.
Thanks you so much for your positive feedback. We are really pleased you feel this way about the home and the care your Gramps receives. This feedback will be shared with the team.
My sister and I are generally very happy with the care that our mother is receiving at Heathcote Care Home, Norwich. She has lost weight since her illness last summer but has improved since starting "Altrashot" drinks. Her appetite remains very poor but mentally she has improved. Yesterday, my sister discovered several of her garments have "gone missing" in the laundry. Staff will investigate.
Thank you for your feedback about Heathcote and the care your Mum and your family experience there. We value this feedback and will make sure we work hard to put these important points right.
My lovely dad spent the last four months of his life at Heathcote and I can honestly say I couldn't have wished for a better place for him to spend his last days. All the staff and management, without exception, showed Dad exceptional care and compassion and went such a long way to making his final months, weeks and days as happy and comfortable as they could possibly be. That care was extended to me, my sister and other family members, during difficult times when visiting was limited due to Covid restrictions and most acutely when Dad was placed on end-of-life care. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Such a wonderful balance of genuine care and dignity shown to Dad and to all of us made such a difficult time, just a bit more bearable. Dad was a quiet but cheeky character and the staff really 'got' him and his humour and so it soon became his home from home. My only regret is that he wasn't able to spend more time there. We are eternally grateful, thank you to all at Heathcote.
Heathcote is filled with laughter, care and kindness.
It's so nice to finally be able to visit my nan and hold her hand, so grateful to all the staff at Heathcote who have kept Nan's spirits up during difficult times. They are all amazing and do a fantastic job.
Mum is very content at Heathcote and now thinks of it as home. The staff are very caring and she enjoys the banter with them. She often comments that she couldn’t wish for anywhere better. Overall, we are very satisfied with the level of care that Mum receives and would definitely recommend Heathcote.
Everybody is very friendly and helpful and Mum is very happy there and being looked after very well. She gets involved in the activities which is making her enjoy more things. She also loves the food which has brought back her appetite and get up and go.
We couldn't have found a better place for Mum. She was worried that she would be placed in an 'institution like' home, one with no character or identity. The Heathcote is more like a small family hotel which is something Mum likes very much. The staff are wonderful, very caring, warm and friendly to family members. They have always made us feel very welcome and part of their wider family. It has been a very difficult year for us all, especially for those working in the care industry, but it has been a comfort to us to know that Mum is in such a caring place.
Lovely atmosphere and everyone is always so kind and friendly.
Always offered a meal and refreshments.
Room is spacious, clean and tidy.
Lots going on with entertainment and activities.
Always feel very welcome when I visit. Always nice entertainment going on. Nothing is too much trouble.
I only get to visit once or twice a year but, am always made to feel very welcome. All management and staff seem very caring.

Meet the Team (1)

One of her fondest memories at Heathcote is being able to reunite our resident Margaret Dye with her beloved boat Wanderer which she sailed the world in with her husband Frank. The boat now resides in Falmouth Maritime Museum and Sylvia arranged for a virtual tour with the museum's curator.
Margaret was then featured in Sailing Today and recognised around the world for the sailing legend she is.
Sylvie says what makes Heathcote special is the intimate environment and genuine family atmosphere within the home, with strong bonds between staff and residents.
