Lyles House

All the care staff were so very kind and caring. The home is well looked after as well as the residents. It was a relief to know that my grandad was in safe hands; he also enjoyed his time at Lyles House.

As a family we cannot praise the staff and management of Lyles House highly enough for the professional, caring and compassionate support that they gave to my father-in-law and family members when, at short notice, they welcomed and accommodated our 95-year-old family treasure. Being very independent and reaching a real point of need in his life, the management and the rest of the team at Lyles could not have been better. Completely on board with the difficulties of moving into a care home for the first time, and totally embracing his needs. The home and staff provided a lovely calm and happy family atmosphere and provided the specialist care required to keep him safe, comfortable and at ease to the end of his life. We are so grateful to all at Lyles for being there for us just when we needed them and providing such a high standard of care and support. Thank you.

My grandad spent a short time at Lyles House and I cannot speak more highly of the staff there. They carried out the care for him to the highest standard and nothing was too much trouble for them. Grandad was always saying how friendly the staff were. If you are looking for a place for a friend or relative Lyles will give you the best care. I cannot thank the staff at Lyles enough for all they did for Grandad.

After an initial settling in, Mum now is fully integrated into the Lyles House 'family'. She gets up and dressed each morning and spends the day with her new friends. She looks so much better and happier as well as eating good healthy meals each day. It's a remarkable difference in such a short space of time. I could write much more but simply put, this is an excellent, well run care home and the team clearly have their residents best interests at heart.

My grandmother has spent the last two months there. Throughout the covid19 pandemic, Lyles House have been so supportive and brilliant. I've been able to wave at her window, video chat and since restrictions have been lifted I've been in to see her. My nan has met new friends and said the food and care are lovely, she can't fault it. Thank you so much to everyone at Lyles House for looking after my nan and making my nan feel so welcome.

My mom had to go into residential care at Lyles House in February. We looked after her at home for over three years, and cannot believe the difference in her improved health and well being since arriving at Lyles House. I would like to thank the carers and management team for their compassion and patience and thank them all for making what was a very difficult decision for us much easier than we could have ever have hoped for.

My mother's care during the pandemic has been exceptionally good, allowing for her declining state, the standards of care and attention she receives has been wonderful. Her decreasing mobility has limited what she can do and where she can go within the home, but this has not been a limiting factor to the carers. The pandemic safety measures have been rigorous and highly commendable, with no COVID cases, so in difficult times the home has risen to the occasion. I am extremely pleased with all of their actions, measures and attitudes.

All the staff at Lyles House go above and beyond and work very well as a team and I cannot thank them enough for the level of care provided and this is also the feelings of my brother, sister and all the family that has visited.

Overall I am completely satisfied with the care our relative is receiving at Lyles House care home.

Mum has refused to get out of bed and has also become rather difficult to look after but the staff have always been exemplary in the way they have cared for her.

I visited the home today and spent just a little time with my friend, whose dementia has advanced considerably. Although now in her own little world, she continues to be beautifully cared for and is quietly content. This relatively small care home is, in my view, exceptional. I can’t fault it.

Mum has been a resident at Lyles House for a few years now, she loves living there, she is always clean and dressed well whenever we visit. My wife has Parkinson's, so it is a comfort to know I can look after her knowing mum is well cared for by the excellent staff, who are always friendly and helpful.

My Dad is always clean and nicely dressed. He tells us he enjoys his meals, which is a good thing as before moving to the home his appetite was very poor.

As I have commented before - this is a very well maintained care home with friendly and supportive staff. It has a homely atmosphere and very good food cooked on the premises. My mum is always saying how safe and comfortable she feels there and how well she is being looked after. She speaks highly of the staff.

Good use made of available space and the premises, including the garden, are well maintained.

This is a very nice care home. Always clean with staff friendly and helpful. Our friend who is resident there is clearly well looked after and cared for.

It was such a comfort for me to see how obviously happy my sister continues to be. I could not wish for better care for her. The entire environment is kindly and comfortable.

The managers and staff at Lyles House are always very helpful and my brother says he is very happy. The staff are always good to him and the food is very good.

Friendly and helpful staff. I often hear them laughing with my Nan when I arrive. They listen to concerns and act on them. The home is welcoming.
