As a manager, I lead with kindness, openness, and a smile. I want my team to feel supported, confident, and proud of the work they do because happy staff make for happy residents. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves, join in with activities, or share a joke over a cup of tea; after all, joy is just as important as care.

I aim to build a culture where families, staff, and residents feel like one community and where everyone’s voice matters, and individuality is celebrated. For me, it’s about balancing professionalism with warmth, structure with flexibility, and care with a genuine sense of fun. At the end of the day, people may not always remember the paperwork or the policies — but they’ll always remember how you made them feel.
