Overall Experience
St Edmund's is a fabulous care home and the reason is wholly down to the people who work there. The carers couldn't be more considerate and professional, but all the staff make my mum's life with them as fulfilling as possible. There is a genuine caring attitude from everyone from the kitchen to the night staff to the domestic to the maintenance Everyone! I honestly feel that everyone there looks out for and shares responsibility towards all the residents. In the five and a half years mum has been there, she has always been treated with dignity and respect but above all with affection. Without that human love and contact, I don't think people thrive and they do thrive at St Edmund's. Humour is also so very important to humanity and there is plenty of that at St Edmund's from all the staff.

Activities, entertainment and games are organised and offered. My mum really liked the lovely patting dog but was also fascinated when a snake handling experience was offered! Thank you from all her family!

Overall Experience
My aunt has been living at St Edmund's since April 2016. She has gradually developed various health problems. She is very frail and now has a form of dementia, which means she is constantly shouting for help. The staff, without exception, have been kind, caring, gentle and patient with my aunt.
After a recent stay in hospital from which she returned dehydrated, with bedsores and loss of weight, the staff have returned her to a stable condition.
St Edmund's is clean and has a warm and welcoming, friendly atmosphere.

I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Overall Experience

We used St Edmund's Home to provide care for my husband who has terminal cancer and also it allows myself some respite. We were both impressed with the home. It was clean, friendly and well-run. The staff are extremely professional and I had peace of mind during my husbands stay. We will use the home again in the future if the need arises as my husband's health deteriorates knowing that the best care will be received.

All the staff are professional and friendly, any queries are sorted. The food, sausages not to my husbands liking but always a second choice. selection of vegetables. As a wife, I could not wish him to be a resident anywhere else, as I am contacted immediately if a problem arises. All round, I am extremely satisfied.
