Despite Sad only being here temporarily, the management and staff are very friendly, approachable and professional in their job roles. They cover everyone's needs and maintain very high standards of care.

Great staff and management. Great home for my mother, friendly and caring. Great food and drinks are available from what I see for a short period before lockdown. The room was very clean and tidy but basic a very small critique as every aspect is great. Thanks!

The management and staff are amazing and genuinely care for the residents of the home. My brother is currently in their care and he is so much happier and content compared to the hospital and another rehab centre that he was sent to. I am concerned that he may be move due to funding which would be disastrous for both his emotional and physical wellbeing, especially as he has learning disabilities.

My mother is treated with the utmost respect by a diligent and caring, praiseworthy staff. The rooms are more than adequate - clean and well-appointed. The meals are well prepared, nicely presented and the portions well suited to my mother. Staff are readily helpful and show concern whenever I have a query or need. Nothing appears too small to be attended to. I cannot praise the whole facility enough.

My grandma has been in your care home for a few months and the care she has received has been so amazing. You support her physically, mentally and emotionally to a very high standard with dignity. You cater for her blindness excellently, and I see this with all your other residents. If she is ill you get the doctor straight away. I can always leave my gran in very capable hands which is such a Godsend.

Our mother was a relatively new resident and has settled in so well, we are delighted.
The staff are caring and pleasant to residents and visitors alike.

Mum cannot speak highly enough of the food which she really enjoys. One of the trustees visited mum just after a couple of days. I was impressed that mum had a bag of presents from the staff on Christmas morning.

My mum has been with Thomas Tawell House approximately 18 months and over this period, I cannot fault the love, care and support given to her and me. I feel she is well looked after and given individual care as needed. Any issues with health have been dealt with efficiently.

The home is always clean, welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. Staff are amazing.

My Aunt has now been at Thomas Tawell House for 5 years. She is 101 years old and I consider she is being very well cared for. She is fortunate in as much that she is still able to get herself up and put herself to bed. Help is always available if she needs it or agrees to ask for it. As her next of kin and have P.O.A. I feel able to speak with staff/Manager if I have any concerns.

I am the daughter-in-law and this is my opinion and as a retired employee of CQC, I do have a personal view about the lack of dignity for my mother-in-law.

Her clothing and presentation could be given a bit more thought.

I really think it lacks dignity for her.

My sister-in-law cleans the room periodically as its often dusty.

My husband is never contacted, despite he's N.O.K.

In February 2018 the time came for my 92-year-old mother to move into Thomas Tawell House as because of health and care needs she could no longer live alone.

At a time when she needed support and understanding the staff could not have been any better from the chief executive down to the support staff. The home she now has, it is giving her a new social life and a reason to want to get up in the mornings. Mum is happy. Thomas Tawell House her family thank you.
