Since arriving at Davers Court my 95 year old mother has shown a vast improvement in all respects of her health. For the first two weeks, she wouldn't venture out of her room, she is now walking to the lounge and socialising with other residents and taking her meals in the dining room.

The staff have been kind, helpful and supportive and my mother has most definitely benefitted from this care. She appears to be very happy and settled into her new home.

The home is the most friendly and caring place. I have worked in previous homes and Davers Court stands out miles in front. The staff from admin to maintenance are the most approachable and caring people. Mother in Law went into respite and is now a resident. We know she will have the best of everything.

The transition for my elderly "auntie" from sheltered accommodation to a care home could not have been better managed. In November 2017 I transferred a frail and poorly elderly lady into Davers Court and in 5 weeks she has become almost unrecognisable.

Due to the excellent care, quality of food and happy environment this 98-year-old is looking forward to her 100th birthday, it is a pleasure to visit and has no complaints. We are all truly grateful to the management and staff of Davers Court.

My beloved mother was in here for a very short time 25th July - 6th October but during her time everyone but everyone went above and beyond their call of duty. The staff were absolutely phenomenal in every respect.

During my mother's last days, the manager and her staff bent over backwards to make our time with my mother as comfortable as possible. I cannot praise them enough. It helped make everything more bearable if that is possible at such a time. We cannot thank them enough.

My mother was at Davers Court for a month's trail. For reasons unconnected with the home, it didn't work out but it was very helpful to see what a well run care home looks like.

I was impressed by the staff, manager and facilities.

I visited my dad on July 6th with my two small grandchildren and spent the time in the beautiful garden.

My grandchildren were made to feel most welcome as was I. I feel very confident my father is being well looked after.

My mother has been in Davers Court for 8 weeks. Throughout that time she has been very happy. The care she has received has been first class. The home is always spotless and the the food is very good. The staff are caring and helpful towards the clients and their families. They are very professional. They are always checking the clients and making sure the clients are in good health. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place for their family member.

After visiting several other care homes, this one was the best. When we arrived to look round, we were welcomed by all the staff and shown around. We felt it was excellent and well suited to my mother in law, who is 91 and had Dementia.

She has been a resident for 1 week and we have visited 3 times, finding her well cared for, washed/dressed and hair done, looking so well and we think she confident in being a resident there as she feels safe. We are, as a family, treated well during our stay, nothing is too much trouble. We are more than pleased she was offered this place and wouldn't want her anywhere else.

My mother passed away recently in West Suffolk Hospital. She had been in Davers Court for several years. The treatment she had from the carers and other staff was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble. All aspects of care were handled in a kind, prompt and friendly manner.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Davers Court.

My father has been a resident for nearly 2 years. He died on Sunday 28th of May. His care has been full of kindness, patience and love. The care in his last few days went way beyond any duty. My dad, myself and my sister think of them as extended family. This applied to all the departments but especially The Vines unit.

The food was very good, his personal care and hygiene was always spot on also. Always someone talking and joking with the residents. The cleanliness was very good as well.

My father moved in when Davers Court was newly completed.
The care received from the staff has been wonderful.
The food has been just right and the cleanliness excellent as he made bad messes.

In his last few days, everyone went beyond what we expected to make sure he was comforted and not left alone.

My father was a resident at Davers Court Care UK home on Vine Unit for two years.
In all that time I never had any cause for concern or complaint.
The room was always clean and kept in good condition.
Staff were always friendly and informative.
Sadly my father passed away at the home.
The staff made sure it was peaceful and comfortable.
As a family, we could not have wished for a better ending to my father's life.

Full marks to all the staff and management.

Meet the Team (1)

Sophie Evans
Sophie EvansJob Title:Home Manager

I have over 14 years’ experience in the care sector, working my way up from a Care Assistant, and I joined Care UK in 2016.

I’m passionate about working with the team to make Davers Court the very best it can be. Residents are happy and well cared for; it’s great when one of them wants to tell me about something they’ve enjoyed doing that day, because if they’re happy, we’re happy.

I love leading the team to provide the best possible care and support colleagues internally to be the best they can be and develop in the same ways I have over the years to reach their career goals.

It takes the right people to make a house a home, and the Davers family are a true family home.
