Davers Court

As a family, we were very happy with the care, activities, environment and ALL staff at Davers Court. I have no hesitation in returning my parent to this home.

I can't praise all the staff highly enough for all the care and support offered to my mother and the whole family. They helped smooth the transition for everyone through very difficult times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

She has individual care and trouble is taken to try to enrich her life, successfully. Visitors and family are welcomed and staff always speak to us and mum. Thank you.

Davers Court has provided excellent quality of service, the well-managed staff, quality of staff helpfulness, spotlessly clean environment and a wonderful homely welcoming approach, just lends itself for all whom live, work or visitors alike providing a home from home atmosphere. Food standards are good and varied to meet most expectations. Well done to Davers Court manager and her dedicated team.

I chose Davers Court for my husband to spend 5 weeks in respite care and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. The staff are friendly, polite and provided an excellent standard of care. The room and surroundings were very clean, bright and comfortable. I felt safe in the knowledge that my husband who can be quite challenging at times was in safe and capable hands.

My mother, who was suffering with dementia, was in Davers Court for 6 months until her recent passing. From the beginning, she was treated professionally and with the utmost love and care and after a 'settling-in' period, soon adapted to her new home. With constant companionship, she started to join in the activities and when visiting it was obvious she was more happy and contented and we were always greeted warmly by the excellent staff. When mum passed away quite suddenly, the staff were there, as usual, to help us with our loss and the family will always be grateful to know that her last few months were enhanced by the care and attention shown by everyone at Davers Court.

Davers Court is the most wonderful place, my mother is os very happy there, the staff are kind efficient and will do anything to help. The staff are dedicated to the job, if I was ill I would go into Davers at the drop of a hat, you won't find better care anywhere.

As the wife of a resident, I appreciate the care and concern provided to me along with my husband. With no local family available it is difficult to keep emotional levels to a good state. They look after us both to on a family level. They keep me in a family atmosphere.

The overall impression is one of quiet efficiency. Tension is not seen anywhere. Well done.

I am a stroke survivor living locally to Bury St Edmunds with my wife who is also my primary carer. At least once per annum she needs and deserves a complete break from those duties and having had a completely satisfactory respite break in 2018 at Davers Court, have been delighted to be allowed back for a similar break this year. My impressions last year were of a professionally run and managed home with more than just capable and well-motivated staff, but one where everyone owns the culture of caring that bit extra and going the extra mile.

Carers always encourage mum to join in with all activities, Holy Communion, etc. This is good for mum as she continues to lose the use of speaking, so watching and 'doing' is good for her. One particular carer/leader is always extremely supportive and helpful to me, never pushy, the same everytime we communicate; wonderful person! Saying that, there are a lot of you carers that are very good!

Mum was staying at Davers Court for two-week respite. Although she was dubious of first she was well looked after wonderfully well and really enjoyed the experience. First class care.

My Mother was one of the first residents at Davers Court until her recent passing. The home manager is an incredible force and her steadfast support over the years, and especially in the weeks before Mum's passing, was greatly appreciated by her family. We have seen Davers transform into a first-rate care home with the manager's considerable knowledge and experience in her field. We were blessed to be surrounded by the most loving, dedicated and hardworking team of carers any family could ask for. They made all the difference in the world to not just my Mother's life, but also in the days leading to her passing. Our heartfelt thanks to all the management, carers and staff.

My wife had not used respite care previously. She came for two weeks while I was away. I was a little concerned as to how all would work and all went well, no very well. My wife had many visitors and they all reported how splendid Davers Court is and how kind and caring the staff are and how relaxed my wife was. Thank you all.

Staff are very friendly and dedicated. Accommodation is clean, attractive and spacious. The environment is welcoming, warm and pleasant. A variety of interesting activities are organised.

I found all the staff very efficient and caring. The transaction from moving dad to the home went very smoothly. They catered for all his needs and this is ongoing. Dad decided to stay.

I think the staff are very helpful. No matter what you ask they will always find someone to help. Very nice. Glad to be here.
