Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My aunt was very happy at Davers Court. All the staff are happy caring and supportive. They treated her with kindness and respect and were always welcoming and helpful with us as a family and all visitors. We were always rest assured that she was safe and happy.

Although only at Davers Court for 5 months, my sister was extremely happy and very well cared for, all staff were very attentive and aware of any issues.
Relatives and friends were warmly welcomed in all areas. In total felt that the pressure had been taken off us a family.

We had visited Davers Court some months before mum moved in and we were very lucky there was a room available when she needed it. I cannot fault the home it is everything we could have wished for in providing a safe, caring and friendly environment.

I cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism and kindness. From the moment that I made the first enquiry, I couldn't have hoped for a better service. If unable to answer my queries at the time of calling then someone called back very promptly. In the 10 days my father was with you he received
more care than he had had in the previous 5 months. Thank you.

I would not hesitate to recommend Davers Court to anyone who needed excellent care. The compassion, respect, dignity and privacy was paramount by all of the staff, nothing was too much trouble, the food was fantastic and everywhere was clean and tidy.


I am absolutely confident that my partner received

the best of care during his stay, and cannot wait to visit again soon.

My mother stayed for 10 days respite care following a hip operation.
The care and kindness she received meant that although she came into Davers Court in a wheelchair she was able to walk out. No mean feat for someone of 95! Many thanks.

From my very first visit, in November 2017, to my neighbour in Davers Court, I could see how well he was being looked after. He looked warm, clean and very comfy. He had a pleasant room with his own TV and it was very quiet. The staff I met couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating and were
genuinely caring even though he could be extremely difficult a lot of the time. There was often entertainment taking place in the main reception and I even saw staff dancing with residents. The home always looked clean and always smelt fresh. Sadly, my neighbour recently passed away but I know the staff did everything they possibly could for him in his final days. This is the second review I have submitted for Davers Court, the first being shortly after he went in. I can't speak more highly of the home and when the time comes, would be very happy to spend time in there myself! Thank you to all the dedicated staff- it's you who make it the welcoming home it is! Thank you.

Management and all staff were very helpful, caring and compassionate during my fathers stay at Davers Court. The home is well kept and modern with excellent facilities - my father particularly enjoyed the day centre on site and when able, joining in with the activities on offer as well as having coffee
in the downstairs cafe.
They delivered execellent palliative care during his final days and he was made as comfortable as possible. As well as caring for my father, staff and management supported the family, at this very difficult time, emotionally and physically. We were able to use guest accommodation to stay on site 24/7 to enable us to spend as much time as possible with our father, with meals and drinks as required. Nothing was too much trouble - Thank you Davers Court.

My husband has just gone into Davers Court, before this he was at home and used the Day Care there.
He had respite in the home and loved it, that is why I chose this home.
He is well looked after and the staff are so kind and friendly. He tells me he loves it there.
That makes me feel better and
do not feel so guilty, but of course, I would rather he was at home with me.
He is there for his own safety and also for my health.

My mother has flourished at Davers Court. She is very happy to complain about anything and everything but has nothing but praise for the manager and all her staff at the home.
She has individual care and trouble is taken to try to enrich her life, successfully. Visitors and family are welcomed and

My mother has resided at Davers Court for the past 6 months after moving from a bungalow in Stowmarket, where she was visited 5 times a day by carers.
I say the following without any reservations whatsoever. Davers Court has provided excellent quality of service, the well-managed staff, quality of
staff helpfulness, spotlessly clean environment and a wonderful homely welcoming approach, just lends itself for all whom live, work or visitors alike providing a home from home atmosphere. Food standards are good and varied to meet most expectations. Well done to Davers Court manager and her dedicated team.

I chose Davers Court for my husband to spend 5 weeks in respite care and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. The staff are friendly, polite and provided an excellent standard of care. The room and surroundings were very clean, bright and comfortable. I felt safe in the knowledge that my husband
who can be quite challenging at times was in safe and capable hands.

My mother, who was suffering with dementia, was in Davers Court for 6 months until her recent passing. From the beginning, she was treated professionally and with the utmost love and care and after a 'settling-in' period, soon adapted to her new home. With constant companionship, she started to join
in the activities and when visiting it was obvious she was more happy and contented and we were always greeted warmly by the excellent staff. When mum passed away quite suddenly, the staff were there, as usual, to help us with our loss and the family will always be grateful to know that her last few months were enhanced by the care and attention shown by everyone at Davers Court.

Davers Court is the most wonderful place, my mother is os very happy there, the staff are kind efficient and will do anything to help. The staff are dedicated to the job, if I was ill I would go into Davers at the drop of a hat, you won't find better care anywhere.

As the wife of a resident, I appreciate the care and concern provided to me along with my husband. With no local family available it is difficult to keep emotional levels to a good state. They look after us both to on a family level. They keep me in a family atmosphere.

I am a stroke survivor living locally to Bury St Edmunds with my wife who is also my primary carer. At least once per annum she needs and deserves a complete break from those duties and having had a completely satisfactory respite break in 2018 at Davers Court, have been delighted to be allowed back
for a similar break this year. My impressions last year were of a professionally run and managed home with more than just capable and well-motivated staff, but one where everyone owns the culture of caring that bit extra and going the extra mile.

Abhilash Gopi

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2025

I am passionate about providing meaningful care to older people and ensuring that we make a positive impact on residents’ lives.


I have been a home manager for eight years and have a BSc Hons. in nursing, as well as a level five in health and social care. I chose to join Care UK because of its values and ethos.


In my role, you need to be patient, have good listening and communication skills, and be understanding. Being calm in any situation helps too.


I think my favourite part of the day is the morning. It’s a time when we can decide what to prioritise and how to approach the day.


A lot of moments stand out for me as highlights. I helped achieve an ‘outstanding’ rating for another Care UK home in 2021. I’m also proud to be able to support colleagues and share the knowledge I’ve learned over the years. It’s all about improving care and standards for the better so residents can benefit.


Outside of work, I captain a local cricket team. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family. My wife is also a nurse, and we have three children so life is wonderful and busy.
