I find Woodbridge Lodge a very good care home. The conservatory can be very hot for the residents, which makes the residents sleep a lot. Dementia residents can not join in the activities much. But the 2 activities staff do an excellent job there. Rooms could be used better on the ground floor. The meals and cakes they do are very good.

I had an unexpected emergency crisis with my father and needed emergency respite care. The home was quick to respond to assess him and was able to move him in that day. Although my father is relatively self caring he appeared comfortable and settled. Seeing my father laugh and not have that startled, scared look in his face was priceless and he had warm hot meals.

I have been very impressed with the care my mother has received at Woodbridge Lodge. The first time I walked into the Lodge, when I was choosing a place for mum, I was struck by the kindness, fun , and warmth I observed.
Mum has now been a resident for 6 months. I have found the staff to be consistently caring and endeavouring to meet my mums needs. For her 90th birthday the staff decorated the place beautifully and produced an amazing homemade cake. Our family were very touched.
When I visit I am always made to feel very welcome. I have been very impressed with the number and range of activities on offer. The garden is very well cared for and has been a real source of pleasure for mum.

The communication between staff and myself is vey good and the management very professional.

I visits Woodbridge Lodge several times a week. Each time I'm greeted by friendly, welcoming staff, there always seems to be plenty of staff to assist residents and many interesting activities going on. Managers are accessible and are able to deal with queries.

I'm very happy that I can take our pet dog to visit my husband as it makes a huge difference to him that he can see her.

I was here for 3 weeks of respite care following a minor illness and a short stay in hospital before going back home. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The activities like seated yoga were good and helped all those taking part to keep moving. The outing to the bowling alley for ten pin bowling was very enjoyable. It was good to get out and to do an activity. The less well and needy residents were well cared for.

It's early days yet as not quite 2 weeks in but so far am happy with what we see/hear. The staff keep us informed of how Mum is and they appear cheerful and engaged with Mum.
It has a warm, comfortable feel and we are confident that she is safe and looked after.

Mum has up and down days but spoke to her tonight and she told me she enjoyed the trip out to bowling yesterday! Fingers crossed she settles soon as it's a lovely place.

We are on the first steps of the journey finding the right care for our mum. Staff have been wonderful with both Mum and our family. We feel safe in their hands, referring to their experience and knowledge of both care and dementia. Mum's room is lovely with a gorgeous view over the gardens. On good days she says it's quaint and lovely. On bad days she admits the room is nice!

Mum has been in the care home for six years - she has seen most of the staff and residents come and go! However, now that the staff team seems to have settled down the overall standard of care has improved. Activities are excellent. Food is always good. Sadly, a room with only a commode to use is always a challenge for Mum, particularly during the night! At times, keeping the home clean and laundry turn over, remains an ongoing struggle.

Woodbridge Lodge helped my mother-in-law celebrate her 95th Birthday with care and kindness - decorating a space for her to enjoy being with family and cutting a cake.

My mother-in-law has been at Woodbridge Lodge for 6 years - experiencing changes in staff and management. On the whole, she has experienced good care and, in particular, she has enjoyed all the interesting activities and events held at the home.

I have been in the administration role for about 18 years.

Before working for Kingsley I was an administrator for a local company and I was teaching swimming which I still do.

I love working at Woodbridge Lodge as the staff are all friendly and I enjoy being able to interact with the residents and their families. When I'm not at work I like being outside and keeping fit.

Rachel DyeJob Title:Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator

Before coming to Kingsley in 2022, I was at another care home in Woodbridge as a social engagement leader. This was a similar position but in a much larger home; what I love about Woodbridge Lodge is that it is a smaller home with a family-oriented feel about it. We are fortunate to have a great, supportive staff team here and lovely residents and families.

Outside work, I run my own cake business from home and regularly participate in charitable evenings. I am married with two children aged 19 and 20, both at university.

I started my career in the care industry and soon realised that this was my passion, moving from care assistant roles to lifestyle coordinator. Woodbridge Lodge is a beautiful home and I love my role as lifestyle coordinator, supporting our residents and making every day bright, different and interesting for them.
