My dad has been with Leiston Old Abbey since November. He has received the best care & friendship from the whole team. As a family we're kept up to date with calls, photos & messages. I'm very grateful to the manager & the team, it really is home from home.

My dad is extremely happy, always has lots of giggles with all the staff . They always inform me on how things are going or if my dad needs anything I'm updated constantly on events , and have a group chat with photos.
The home is clean friendly and has a lovely atmosphere when I arrive . The outside garden is very well maintained and food always looks and smells lovely.

They go to great lengths to look after everyone.

Our elderly mum has been a resident for nearly two years and has often told us how happy she is and how well looked after. The place really is a home from home and the wonderful staff understand and demonstrate the true meaning of care. We are always made to feel very welcome when we visit and are aware of how lucky we are to have found this exceptional care home for our mum.

My aunt has been at Leiston Old Abbey residential home over a year now. She is very happy there and really feels at home. All of the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond their professional duties caring for all residents. This is a home with the whole package.

My sister has been a resident of Old Abbey for 15 months now and the care and attention to her needs in that time has been excellent. All the staff do all they can to make her time there as comfortable and home like as they can. She is happier now than she has been for a very long time.

A close relative has been a resident of this care home for several months now and I can honestly say that I have been very impressed with the high level of care she has received. The staff all seem happy, smiley people and they are clearly very caring. The management seems extremely professional and are quick to sort out any issues. It's never easy seeing a close relative have to go into care, we all think it will not happen to us or our friends or relations but if you or someone close to you needs care I think this home is as good as it gets. You could find posher places but I am sure you will not find anywhere that cares more. I would recommend it to anyone.

My uncle has been with them for a year and it was the best decision we made to place him there. As he is treated with the utmost respect and care is 100%. Since lockdown, we have had no need to worry as we know that he is being well looked after. The staff are fantastic with him and with us. They care about our feelings and have kept us up to date via WhatsApp with all the activities they have been doing to keep the residents entertained during this difficult time. The staff all go above and beyond for the residents. They do a fantastic job.

The catering manager has an excellent manner. She produces lovely food, presents it well and ensures fresh flowers on the tables. The gardener/handyman has excellent attention to detail, takes price in making the home well presented and is constantly coming up with new ideas. There is strong leadership and great emphasis is put on the way residents are treated. The home always smells clean.

I would like to express my thanks and convey warm wishes to the manager and all the lovely, caring staff at Leiston Old Abbey. My mother was a resident there for the last 16 months of her 97-year life and received wonderful care and attention throughout. Without exception, all the staff were wonderful, coping remarkably with Mum's advancing dementia and increasing physical needs. They encouraged her to be mobile and self-sufficient as far as was possible but were attentive and understanding when this became too much for her. They were always respectful of Mum's dignity and personal wishes. When we visited we always received a warm welcome from staff and were grateful for the updates we received regarding Mum's wellbeing. As we live over three hours away from the area we were especially comforted to have received regular telephone and email updates concerning Mum's demeanour and condition between our visits.

My dear nanny moved into Leiston Old Abbey recently, from the first point of contact with the manager and her team her admission went very smoothly. Nan was greeted by caring staff. We are really impressed with the way nan has settled into her new environment. The staff are amazing, kind and very caring. When we visit nan, they go out of their way to talk to us, inform us how nan's getting on. It's so encouraging knowing nan is in a safe place and well looked after. Thank you to the manager and her team at Leiston Old Abbey.
