I am very pleased with the care and friendliness of Mellish House for my dear partner who seems to have settled very well. His needs are met with very good care and I think he likes it at Mellish House very much.

Mum has no complaints, obviously still confused. Some items have gone missing which could be obvious to mum hiding stuff as she did at home.

Although the staff are always busy, they always give help when needed or asked for. My Wife loves music and from time to time there is a singalong in the diner where you can also play c.d.'s. A lot of the residents enjoy the interactive table and on sunny days we can go out into the garden. Overall my Wife is very settled which is a great comfort to me.

I visit twice a week and am there for a couple of hours each time. I am always impressed by the kind attention given to residents even when they may be agitated. The kindness of all the staff is noticeable. The atmosphere is of controlled calm most of the time, but the activities co-ordinators certainly enliven and cheer the atmosphere with their presence and activities. Given the fact that this is a dementia home I am always amazed at the positivity and cheerfulness of staff members, something I would find really difficult to do. My friend seems to be well cared for in a comfortable, clean, well-organised home.

Mellish House took our dad in in difficult circumstances, they were excellent, very caring and helped us in every way. They keep us informed at all times about the care our dad needs and will possibly need. All staff are willing to talk or help us or our dad at any time. They are all very caring. Dad is always clean and tidy whenever we see him, they encourage us to personalise his room any way we wish.

Cannot fault the time and care they show to the resident's, the food looks appetising and plenty of it, they are encouraged to eat and drink. The home is very clean and there are plenty of rooms for the resident's to sit, all different styles. They are encouraged to do things if they want. I have watched the interaction between staff and resident's and it is lovely.

Mum was transferred to Mellish from another home due to dementia. The little time she was there, she was treated with dignity and respect even when she would get angry.

I was kept well informed of mum's behaviour and care and felt involved with her care. Sadly mum deteriorated very quickly. On my visit that morning, when mum was having fits, I was given excellent support from staff at a very harrowing time. A member of staff escorted mum and I in the ambulance to hosptial. The staff member was a great support during this time getting my mum to hosptial and staying with me whilst doctors, worked on mum. I am so grateful to her and staff.

In the last few months, my wife has been very ill on a number of occasions. The prompt actions of staff probably saved my wife's life on at least 2 occasions. The feedback concerning my wife's condition has been excellent and I have no qualms about recommending Mellish House as a brilliant care home. Definitely top league in what they do.

From day one my family were welcomed and the staff were so friendly. Although mum has complex needs and can sometimes be difficult, all the staff are incredibly patient and persuasive. I am confident that she is in good hands and as a family, we can relax in the knowledge she is in the best place.

I find all the care, management staff and domestic staff to be very good, approachable and helpful at all times. I couldn't wish for my husband to be in any other care home. The food has improved but still, has some things to improve on e.g burgers often hard and some casserole dishes (meat tough) food apart all else is excellent

I have been very pleased with the care my mother has received at Mellish House throughout her stay so far. The staff have mainly been helpful. The manager has been fabulous and very considerate at times when I've been upset due to my mother's condition. Plus very professional at the same time. She has also represented my mother in meetings with outside agencies extremely well. More attention could be paid to the laundry. When the clothes are returned to the room they are often inside out and hung up in a strange fashion. Once an item was still damp!

I have been extremely impressed with the level of care that Mellish House provides. In my view, the care and support they provide is second to none and it is noticeable how much my mother has improved since arriving earlier this year. The staff are totally focused on the residents and their well-being and the whole ethos is about providing the right level of care. Mellish House is like all care homes in many respects but if your primary focus is the well- being of a loved one; that they are safe, healthy, comfortable, respected, settled and nurtured; you will struggle to find a better place than this. Putting my mother in a home was the most difficult decision my family have had to make, Mellish House has not only made that decision easier but has proved that we absolutely made the right decision for my mother.

I'm glad that my mother is in Mellish House, Great Cornard, where she is very well cared for. The staff are not just very professional but also very human. One hears horror stories about certain institutions in this field, but we all know that the residents of Mellish House are treated well.

My husband was a resident in Mellish House for 4 years and 7 months. He suffered from Lewy Body Dementia. He died on 25th June 2016. He was well cared; the carers were attentive and took particular care to make him comfortable and pain free at the end of his life. I made good friends among the carers and staff. The care home had a family atmosphere. Great enthusiasm and energy went into the provision of activities and festivities and new ideas for entertainment.
