Mum has been at Parris Lawn for 3 months. Due to her dementia she found the move very difficult but the staff have been unfailingly kind and understanding and have helped her settle in. She feels safe and I can see how she is now relating to the staff and appreciating their care. I have found everyone,
in all roles, so welcoming and supportive. The home is a very pleasant environment and has all the facilities mum might need as her needs progress. The programme of activities is great and mum is always encouraged to join in, even though she mostly refuses. But none of this is as important as the love that the staff show the residents - thank you to each of you.

Absolutely can not fault the home at all. The staff are amazing and so caring. The food is 2nd to none,well done the chefs! My uncle is settled and his room is lovely and kept spotlessly clean by the great domestic staff. Nothing but praise for such a lovely care home. A difficult decision to make at
the time but can't fault the place.

My sister is well cared for in excellent facilities but she craves home cooking, just basic old fashioned food which they all ask for in regular resident meetings! They ask for more fresh vegetables and fresh fruit this should be easily sorted by management as it is essential for their health and wellbeing.
At this stage of life sitting to eat a good meal and chatting around the table is one of life's luxuries. We notice that they have a beautiful water feature in the garden enjoyed by birds but because the crows had made a mess in it, which crows do! they switched it off! Why? it would be a simple job for maintenance to quickly clean it rather than take away the enjoyment of the residents just watching the birds frolic especially when we have had such hot weather.

Always a lovely welcome when I visit my mum. Undates are regular via the App or when I visit the home.


Challenging work at times but most staff are happy to chat to you. Nursing staff are knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have.

Overall I have been very pleased with the care provided to my mother and in particular at the end of her life. It gave me such comfort and I too was well looked after with plenty of refreshments during the hours sitting with my mother.
My mother was in the care home for nearly 4 years and during that
time there were issues with broken furniture and missing clothes but these issues were resolved thanks to Maebh and Dragos.

My mother has been at The Orchard since April 2024 and I just wanted to say how amazing all the team are from Christine the cleaner, Donna the receptionist, Cynthia and Dumitru and all the wonderful nurses and care workers. I can't express how grateful I am to everyone who looks after my mother on a

I have held off writing a review on this care home as our knowledge of such places was limited. Seriously though think very carefully before placing a loved one here. The building is wonderful and the location great but sadly any nursing care is sadly doubtful. After hospitalization we chose not
to return our family member here and he is now in a proper nursing home where care of the patient is a priority and the food is wonderful. Sadly Tarring Manor is focused too strongly on the business element and food and care provided suffered from cost cutting.

Upon arriving at Sanford House for the first time, it came across as a lovely place where we would be happy for our family member to stay. ALL the staff, at all times have been warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much and no question too trivial - everything has been responded to
in a calm and conscientious manner. The facilities are excellent for the varying levels of care required. The food and activities available are amazing. The place, people and facilities are such that another family member and family friend have both said they wouldn't mind staying there.

My mother has been a resident at Horsell Lodge for 3 years. I have always been very happy with the way she has been cared for, the quality of the accommodation and the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. We have always felt comfortable in raising any issues or concerns knowing they will be dealt
with or we will be given an explanation if they can't.


Have no hesitation in recommending Horsell Lodge.

Very happy with my father's care provision. His condition does not really allow him to participate in the many activities that are on offer at the Home, and his time mixing with other residents is limited. The staff/nursing staff are all very pleasant, attentive and easy to deal with. Meals from what
I can see are substantive and healthy.

Had my father's 90th birthday. The staff could not have been nicer, nothing was too much. Wonderful, and a fabulous chocolate cake as well.
He has come on leaps and bounds since arriving, small steps but moving forwards.

There are lots of good things to say about this care home. From day one, the management team has been incredibly accommodating, always going above and beyond to tailor everything to my mother's specific needs.
The staff are all wonderfully pleasant, deeply caring, and dedicated. There is a genuine warmth
here, and the building itself has a lovely, homely feel that made the transition so much easier for our family.
It is worth noting that the building is on the older side and could certainly do with some physical improvements. However, I understand that these upgrades are already being planned. More importantly, the aging building is absolutely no reflection on the quality of care provided. The environment is clean, and the staff more than make up for any cosmetic shortcomings.
Most importantly, I feel completely safe and at peace knowing my mother is in such good, capable hands. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place where their loved one.

My mother-in-law has been a resident of Hawkhill House since January and the family all agree she is so well cared for!
The staff are always very friendly when we visit, they do lots of activities with the residents and the food served is lovely!
Hawkhill House is very homely and kept very clean.
The
staff are excellent at communicating with the family if something has to be discussed which is reassuring.

Overall experience was excellent.
Constructive comment:
Please could activities schedule be available on the Sunday before the week's activities, not on the Monday, the start date of the activities - it will give residents and relatives a chance to plan their visiting, plus feel more prepared for
their activity.
Training courses for staff to improve communication when changing shifts, so next shift of staff know any updates in care.
Housekeeping staff seemed to rarely smile - looked miserable some days - do they now enjoy their work! Other staff smiled.

John has been a resident since May 93. Because he is profoundly deaf has not always joined in activities. Recently, I have noticed that he is not shaved + has soiled clothes on. I have been told that he likes to be independent, but I do feel that he should be checked more. On the whole, I am satisfied
with his care and was delighted that on his 95th birthday, he was made such a fuss of! The staff are exceptionally good with him. Thank you for your caring ways to my husband

I was welcomed when I came in, as though I was a member of a family, and the welcome still continues. I have witnessed (rarely) family members being rude and unpleasant to the staff who totally ignored the insult, just carrying on as though they hadn't heard anything unpleasant and resumed their duties
with a smile. They (the staff) are AMAZING, being calm and helpful and friendly at all times - the managers certainly know how to choose staff! The catering is very good, especially as I am a vegetarian.
