Castle View is a wonderful care home with amazing staff who do their utmost to give residents the best care possible. My Mum has settled in well and is safe and happy in a lovely peaceful location. 5 stars from me!

My father has been a resident at Castleview for 2 years now and the care that he receives is still exceptionally amazing but as his condition deteriorates the staff work harder to find ways to keep him connected and interested in the activities that are on offer. Sam the manager is very approachable and always open to suggestions from relatives regarding their loved ones care. There is one lady that works so hard behind the scenes and she is never mentioned but she is the first point of contact...you may call her Helen but I call her Wonder Woman.

I met with your team to discuss Mums care and the team went through everything I needed to know about her care. I am very happy with my mother's care overall and she seems to be very happy in their care.

My mother is 98 years old and her needs are few. She does not engage in any activities and only eats porridge (3 times a day). From my observations (rather than her experience) the food looks good and staff do organise activities. I have rated value for money because the home is expensive for what she gets out of it. The staff are friendly and kind to her and that matters.

My mother has now been a resident for 6 months. Her life changed completely but all the wonderful staff have made the transition an amazingly smooth, caring and attentive experience. Although my mother prefers her own company she is never forgotten and she is always gien the opportunity to be involved by the excellent staff. Overall my mother is safe, has a bright and sunny room with a lovely view and looked after by thoughtful staff that provide an exceptional level of care that exceeds all our expectations - thank you all.

Mum has been a resident of Castle View since March 2024 and has been so happy, well looked after, loved even, and safe, during all that time, despite initially embodying 'Houdini'! As dementia slowly takes over her mind, and body by the advancement of the disease, she is treated wtih respect, understanding and compassion by all of your team. She truly could not be in a better place. Both my sister and I feel this. We love seeing how inclusive the home is for the residents with such a variety of stimulating activities showcased on the Castle View social media page.

Mum really enjoys the activities they do u here and all the staff are lovely to her, she is very happy here.

My mum's care is generally good. However, some aspects could be better, basic care such as brushing hair, keeping the nails on her hands clipped and wearing stained clothes could be improved.

Mum has settled in well and is much healthier and happy in herself. The staff are friendly and helpful. Encouraging her to participate in the activities.

Overall the home is very well run. Management are accessible and staff are very helpful.

This is our first Christmas with my mother in law at Castle View. It has become a second home for us. Nothing is too much trouble. All staff are kind, professional, attentive and welcoming, they always encourage us to make ourselves at home and nothing is too much trouble. The activities co-ordinators are astounding. they are inventive, kind, hard working and warm and bring warmth and delight to all the residents and their families. The home and rooms are clean, tidy and organised. We would recommend Castle View to all our friends. They are fabulous.

Castle View Care Home has been taking care of Dad for the last few years. My sister and I don't live on the island and the care of Dad seems particularly important as we can't always be there. We are always greeted with a smile, a warm hello and even a hug from the wonderful staff at Castle View. They all go the extra mile and look after Dad as if he is family to them. We couldn't be happier and are very reassured with Dads care.

We are extremely happy with the care our mum receives at Castle View Care Home. The staff are so friendly, kind and professional. We are kept updated regarding Mum's care. The environment is clean and homely and the activities provided are engaging and promote excellent socialization opportunities, which was so important to us as a family for mum. We truly feel mum feels at home and is very well cared for.

We are visiting Castle View today for my mother's birthday. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff who did everything possible to make her birthday enjoyable. Wonderful decorations, cakes & savouries and a lovely birthday cake. And big number celebration balloons!

From day 1 everyone's been Brilliant and show genuine care and help, even for myself to learn how to deal with difficult situations during the stages of my dads illness.

We had to find somewhere quickly to have brother looked after all the staff did a great job looking after brother he was very poorly and was looked after washed, shaved, treated with dignity in his final weeks. We visited him many times when we come over from Lancashire. Lovely kind hard working staff who care, nothing was to much trouble for them. The reception lady was great when I spoke to her I knew it was the right place for thhim to be straight away. He passed on 7th August in Castle View at peace.

As a registered nurse (manager), I was humbled to witness the overall caring, professional, empathetic quality of care given to my mother in law in her final days. Also, the care, support provided to the family was exceptional.

We have now been visiting for 6 months and have always found the staff to be caring and helpful.

The staff at Castle View are very caring and efficient. We particularly appreciate the "open door" policy and the welcome given to residents' family and friends. Their social media page is very painful and informative.
