My siblings and I were looking for somewhere local where Mum would be stimulated, well fed, warm and could have nursing care if required in the future. Parris Lawn ticked all these boxes and Mum is very happy in her new environment.
Mum embraces the daily organised activities and enjoys the food. Her room is well positioned with a lovely large window from where she can observe daily activities in the outside world. Visiting is very flexible and Mum enjoys family and friends calling in and sometimes taking her out for lunch etc. Mum also continues to do a couple of regular activities outside the care home.
Great peace of mind knowing Mum is well settled and content.

The staff also support us her family which is so important as the experience can be scary ! Last week my mum told us she is so happy here ! This made my day .Thank you P L you are wonderful .

and the community together and a lot of effort is put in to providing opportunities on a daily basis for residents to join if they would like to . Staff also take time to get to know the residents as individuals . All in all it has been a very positive experience.

She is encouraged to attend the daily activities, taking part in exercise classes and currently enjoys catching up on reading and crosswords. I get a regular monthly call to discuss mum's health and wellbeing and have attended a relatives meeting to hear about new innovations like 'afternoon tea' where the chefs make extra special cakes for the residents, the excellent results of an independent review of all aspects of the operation of the home and provide my feedback. We're so glad we chose Parris Lawn!

Knowing that they are being well cared for is very reassuring. Moving into a 'home' is a major life transition but moving to Parris Lawn has been an easy move overall. I feel much less stressed and worried about Mum and Dad and although it has been a big change for them it has taken away a lot of their anxiety about the future.
