My mother has been in your care for a few years. She has dementia and this causes her lots or problems, mentality and physically. She has lots of fears and worries.
Every single member of staff treats her with respect, patience, kindness and utmost care. They calm her down when she is frightened, they cheer her up when she is down, they take the time to explain things to her when she is confused.
She participates in most of the activities and really enjoys them, she gets upset if she cant if for example she is not well enough.
I think the activities and social side are very important to mum, before she came into care, she was a very social and active person with a large circle of friends, especially her church friends. She found it extremely hard to adjust when through very serious illness she had to go into care. The activities and socialising really helped her to adjust and accept, and continue to do so.
I have complete peace of mind, knowing my mother is safe and well cared for.
