I stayed at The Manor for two and a half weeks (respite) due to building/roof work being carried out in my house. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. I was treated well and staff were very caring, and willing to help although there was a bit of inconsistency in who provided my care, and sometimes my shower was later than I wished. However, I understand that staff were busy with other residents. I enjoyed the facilities and the exercise classes. Food was a little disappointing on occasion (I am vegetarian). Many thanks!

My review is of course only a snapshot - I have not commented on all the categories as my experience is limited! e.g. care/support - I really don't know! Maybe a "don't know" category should be included for all aspects..

Very pleased with the home and staff as they do an amazing job looking after our mum .Our family and mums friends all praise the home and we highly recommend it to everyone who is thinking of admitting someone as you won't regret it as they will be in very safe hands, we can't thank the Manor enough for their support.

The Manor Home takes great care of my father who always has a smile on his face when I come to visit. The home is always very welcoming especially the reception team and the carers who do a great job. I know my dad is in a safe and secure environment.

The food is good and freshly cooked, and the best evidence is that dad is putting on weight.

We have a concern that prices go up above inflation & we are over a barrel in that we can't move our loved one & so have to find the extra money.

My elderly mother arrived after a sudden hospital admission. All staff united to welcome, settle and respect her as a person, a resident and community member. Adjusting to new routines, environments and faces is hugely demanding for those living with dementia but at The Manor we received best-in-class transition advice and service. Each member of team from management to housekeeping knew mum, her preferences and circumstances from day 1. We have all been welcomed and embedded in life there.

Cousin looked after very well. Staff brilliant. He is very happy, Farhat lovely and very helpful. An asset to the home.

Mum settled in well. Staff are caring and considerate. Enjoys food and participates in varied activities. She chose the home based on her earlier experience visiting a relative and friends being residents.

The 2 'good' tocks as visitors chars in room need cleaned and walls bare: will bring in some of mum's pictures.

We were invited for our brother in law's 91st birthday lunch. We were extremely impressed with the facilities and the staff were friendly and caring. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The chef came to speak to us after the meal and the staff member who served us was attentive and friendly. Overall, a great experience.

My aunt loves the care home, she feels safe and well fed. There could be more variety in the activities but she enjoys those that she attends. The care staff are lovely, they are friendly and take care of all my aunt's needs. Her room is always clean and tidy but the home overall is looking a little tired and could do with a bit of a face life. The gardens are now being better cared for and its good to get her out in the fresh air.

I cannot praise highly enough, the attention my wife was given, in her three week stay with you, by all the staff. The building and facilities are 1st class, couldn't have wished for better! And would have no hesitation in using the care home again. I had to use 'The Manor', as I needed to have major surgery, which I seemed to have pulled through alright, and am now back to caring for my wife again thankfully. Once again, thank you all for the help during a rough time.

My mother has been a resident in the care home for approximately three and a half years. The standard of care and attention for my mother throughout her time in the home has always been very high. The staff are very friendly, warm and caring and I know my mother is being well looked after. She has a really nice room with a good view. Any issues that have occurred have always been dealt with in good time and the staff keep me informed of any concerns that arise. I can comfortably say that I am extremely grateful for the care and attention provided and would have no hesitation in recommending the care home to others.

Mum moved to the Manor September 2025 after us trying to arrange living-at-home services to support her doing that. Mum's slow to come out her shell in ways, but carers at the Manor have been lovely in balancing looking after her and letting her take time to join in in ways. We are very grateful in seeing her being bery well looked after, and relax better into feeling she's safe and secure. Thanks to the entire staff team.

An excellent care home for the residents it serves. Very good, friendly staff and first class facilities.

Our mum was in The Manor care home for the last year and a half of her life, and was very happy there. We spent a lot of time trying to find a care home that we felt would work for her and we were delighted that The Manor worked perfectly. This was largely down to the truly amazing staff who were professional, compassionate and patient, going the extra mile to make sure our mum was well cared for. Thank you all so much!

The Manor staff put on an excellent Christmas breakfast buffet for residents and their family. The staff made an extra effort to ensure that the residents felt special on Christmas Day and the atmosphere in the home was warm and welcoming. Many thanks to all staff.

All staff are friendly and attentive. They know my friend and her needs and understand her condition. Food and drink are plentiful as well as appetising. The home has adapted Loraine's bed to suit her evolving needs. 6 month reviews are clear and supportive. Communication about recent flu outbreak (which seems to be well contained) was clear and offer of PPE reassuring.
