My mum has been staying at BH for nine months now, and I could not be happier. Crucially my mum feels the same. All of the staff are kind, patient, and attentive and also fun. Many of them have also worked here for a long time, so the continuity is very beneficial. The atmosphere is calm and nurturing. Residents have a number of areas they may go to so they can be sociable or enjoy some quiet. With heartfelt thanks.

I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care my mother received during her time at Brooklyn House. Staff showed genuine compassion, warmth and respect. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Communication was excellent and I always felt welcome when visiting. Their attentiveness and gentle approach brought great comfort to my mother and to us, especially in her final days. Brooklyn House is a truly special place, defined by its caring staff, and the peaceful, supportive atmosphere they create. We will always remember the kindness shown to my mother with deep appreciation.

We were all made to feel welcome and I was impressed with the overall management of the home. Staff setled my mother into her room and pretty quickly a nurse carried out some essential checks with blood pressure and existing medication. Although my mothers stay was shorter than the family anticipated, I have nothing but praise for the staff and particularly the dignity and humility evident whenever I visited. Thankyou.

I spent from 3 June 2026- 10 June 2026 at Sandford House Nursing Home and have nothing but the highest praise for all staff; for their professionalism, expertise and kindness in taking care of me during my stay there. The staff are impressive and "go the extra mile" in their dedication. I could ask no more of them. I thank each of them from the bottom of my heart.

Challenging work at times but most staff are happy to chat to you. Nursing staff are knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have.

My mother was in the care home for nearly 4 years and during that time there were issues with broken furniture and missing clothes but these issues were resolved thanks to Maebh and Dragos.

I am so happy with the level of care and compassion that my mother receives at Sanford House. The Nurses and Carers are highly professional and clearly care about the residents. On my visits I have also been impressed with the high level of cleanliness.

Upon arriving at Sanford House for the first time, it came across as a lovely place where we would be happy for our family member to stay. ALL the staff, at all times have been warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much and no question too trivial - everything has been responded to in a calm and conscientious manner. The facilities are excellent for the varying levels of care required. The food and activities available are amazing. The place, people and facilities are such that another family member and family friend have both said they wouldn't mind staying there.

Management and staff are all caring and very professional. As soon as you walk into the home it comes across as clean and welcoming. My brother has settled in well and I have no worries that he isn't being looked after.

Mum has been staying at Brooklyn House since July 2025 and our family could not be happier with the level of care and service they provide. All the staff are so friendly, welcoming and caring. They make such a fuss of Mum and she loves them all. The home is clean and tidy, the food is good and there is always something going on from raffles to live singers. You can tell that all the residents are happy, safe and very well looked after. Thank you so much for everything you do, it means the world.

After a respite visit to Sanford house, when dad needed permanent care there was only one place we contacted, it really is the compassion of the staff that really stands out,and when visiting we are made to feel so welcome and part of the family, plus dad is getting the very best of care - I wish I could give the staff ten stars rather than five

Manager Maebh and her team of staff were faultless in providing a 'home from home' experience that gave warmth, comfort and delicious food in Mum's final few months of life, for which I will always be grateful. Mum passed away peacefully with dignity, and can't thank them enough for their kindness and emotional and practical support given to me and my siblings. 10 out of 5 stars!!

Sanford House Nursing Home exeeds expectations; every member of staff goes above and beyond to deliver person-centred care; it feels like a real home from home. The care delivered is exceptional - I know with absolute certainty that my family member is being looked after with the utmost care. I am kept up to date with all developments and involved as much as I want to be in my loved ones care, but I know for certain that even when things are busy in my life, I am too unwell to attend the team at Sanford House are still delivering outstanding care. The home is spotless, secure and safe. In summary, Sanford House inadvertently changed my perception of nursing homes - I would not want to be admitted anywhere else because the team are truly the utmost credit to the health and social care sector.

We have visited Brooklyn House on 4 occasions to visit a family friend. Each time we have been made to feel most welcome along with our dog! The manager is lovely and all staff are friendly and very respectful of the residents. Our friend is very happy at BH. I have visited several care homes both in a professional and personal role and BH is definitely by far the best. It has a lovely atmosphere the minute you walk in the front door and staff and residents appear happy & relaxed.

We have been visiting Brooklyn House for the last 3 years and cannot believe what a wonderful home it is. So welcoming and friendly. Drinks and all food great. Nursing and everything done with a smile. Well done.

I lost my dear husband in October he was nursed with great care and dignity exemplary kindness, with all the care and more that he would have had anywhere else. The manager and all staff were very understanding and kind to me. I cannot praise them highly enough for everything. This is an amazing home in all ways. I truly thank them for such great care and kindness.

Very happy with the care mum is receiving at Stanford House. Every member of staff goes the extra mile to ensure mum is cared for. They also make sure I am informed and coping with mum's inconsistent behaviour. They make sure mum is safe and comfortable.

A very big thank you to all of the staff at Brooklyn House. My mother has recently arrived following her discharge from hospital. Without exception all of the staff have been brilliant. Nothing has been too much trouble. They have made every effort to get her involved in numerous group and one to one activities. Any medical issues that could not be dealt with by the in-house nursing staff have been dealt with quickly by the local GP. The two managerial staff have always been accessible and accommodating in all aspects of my mother's care. As a family we are not able to thank the team enough.
