Brooklyn House Nursing Home is a modern, purpose-built care home in Norfolk, situated in the heart of the attractive market town of Attleborough, offering the highest levels of residential and nursing care on a permanent and short-stay basis.

With all the amenities of a modern home, residents will find first-class facilities with exciting activities and plenty of places to relax or entertain.

All bedrooms and communal areas have been designed to be fully accessible and are decorated and furnished to create a true sense of home. All bedrooms are en suite and residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to help make rooms individual.

The full range of nursing care support includes trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care.

The dedicated care team work closely with residents, their families and loved ones, to ensure that each person’s care needs are understood and met. Just as importantly, the health and wellbeing coordinator takes the time to learn about each person’s life history, working with that individual to ensure they are able to live as active a life as they wish.

My mother moved into Brooklyn House a month ago. Her mobility and memory are poor and she was lonely and depressed living alone in her home. The staff here have made her so welcome - her room is nice and she says the food is good. We have seen such a difference in her - much brighter and more alert
and engaged. We are relieved that she is happy, much safe and enjoying life much more. The staff have also made us - her family - very welcome and have been very supportive.

The staff are very sociable and polite. Care of my brother is very professional and compassionate and as a family are more than happy with the care he received.All in all 10 out of 10 for an exceptional all round performance/operation.

I had visited my husband in Brooklyn House Nursing Home for two years and was overwhelmingly impressed with (A) the friendliness and caring of both my husband and me as a visitor. So when I became too poorly to cope as home, I knew there was only one place I wanted to be. Had no hesitation in selling
my bungalow to pay for me to be a resident and I don't have any regrets whatsoever. Best decision I ever made.

My wife and I visited Brooklyn House Nursing Home on behalf of my sister, who has now taken up residence there, on our recommendation. The initial view was of a modern well-equipped building, but the main consideration was the staff. All the ones we met were very helpful, welcoming and extremely pleasant.
Since residing there, my sister has found the staff very accommodating to her quite demanding needs. As she has had multiple sclerosis for some years, she does require a substantial amount of help which is always forthcoming.
Having been on her own for many years my sister is gradually being drawn out of her room by the various entertainments laid on by the staff. She really enjoyed the visit by the Owl Sanctuary and was encouraged to fuss one of the birds. A first for her.
She also enjoyed the Christmas buffet with the Elvis impersonator, and commented that the staff had gone out of their way to make the days enjoyable.
We have peace of mind, knowing she is being looked after to a very high standard.

I have found the staff to be very welcoming. Mum has been a resident since June 2024 and has settled in well and concerns have been dealt with regarding Mum's health and well-being. I actively recommend this care/nursing home.

If a loved one needs a kind and compassionate nursing home, I can highly recommend Brooklyn House. My father was discharged from hospital, as they felt there was nothing else that could be done for him. He was very poorly. With great care and nursing, he has gained an amazing quality of life for his
age that we didn't think would be an option. Everything is geared to the differing needs of the residents at Brooklyn House and, as a family, we feel that we too are also included.

My dad was in a bad way when he came from the hospital. Since his stay at Brooklyn House Nursing Home, he has improved so much. Knowing he is cared for so well brings great peace of mind. I have found all the members of staff that I have spoken with very understanding and helpful. Having a warm and
friendly atmosphere I think is really important for relatives visiting their loved ones. I would definitely recommend Brooklyn.

Every single member of staff with whom my family have had contact has been exceptional. From day one of my relative's stay, they were knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly.

Always treated well on arriving by a very good receptionist. Clean corridors. Well-dressed staff. Very polite. My daughter is safe and very well cared for. Something she wasn't in the Greenwich (London) area.

We could not have landed in a better place. From the first day, my husband received the very best and kindest, skilled nursing and all-round care here. Every staff member was superb, and their teams worked so well in caring for him in his last, hard weeks. Extraordinarily good, kind and compassionate
people and the very strong family interconnections among staff are a sure testament to their success and very special qualities.

All very good, any concerns are listened to and acted upon.
Under "rooms" rating - my husband's is clean, no problems there but it is starting to look a bit shabby, paintwork chipped etc.
Everything else is fine.

Rosalind completed her training as a Nurse in 2006 and has a wealth of experience in the care industry. She joined Caring Homes in April 2023 as a Deputy Manager and is passionate about providing high-quality care to all who require it.
