As the home is built on one level it is ideal for those with mobility problems, being both safe and accessible. Always a lovely welcome when I visit my mum. Undates are regular via the App or when I visit the home.


Challenging work at times but most staff are happy to chat to you. Nursing staff are knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have.

Overall I have been very pleased with the care provided to my mother and in particular at the end of her life. It gave me such comfort and I too was well looked after with plenty of refreshments during the hours sitting with my mother.
My mother was in the care home for nearly 4 years and during that
time there were issues with broken furniture and missing clothes but these issues were resolved thanks to Maebh and Dragos.

I am so happy with the level of care and compassion that my mother receives at Sanford House. The Nurses and Carers are highly professional and clearly care about the residents. On my visits I have also been impressed with the high level of cleanliness.

Upon arriving at Sanford House for the first time, it came across as a lovely place where we would be happy for our family member to stay. ALL the staff, at all times have been warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much and no question too trivial - everything has been responded to
in a calm and conscientious manner. The facilities are excellent for the varying levels of care required. The food and activities available are amazing. The place, people and facilities are such that another family member and family friend have both said they wouldn't mind staying there.

After a respite visit to Sanford house, when dad needed permanent care there was only one place we contacted, it really is the compassion of the staff that really stands out,and when visiting we are made to feel so welcome and part of the family, plus dad is getting the very best of care - I wish I

My frail elderly mother was admitted to SH following respite care in hospital for continued palliative care and was welcomed warmly, all her care needs assessed and high standard of nursing care given. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - from making cups of tea for visitors to responding with
kindness and warmth when she pressed her call bell.
Manager Maebh and her team of staff were faultless in providing a 'home from home' experience that gave warmth, comfort and delicious food in Mum's final few months of life, for which I will always be grateful. Mum passed away peacefully with dignity, and can't thank them enough for their kindness and emotional and practical support given to me and my siblings. 10 out of 5 stars!!

Sanford House Nursing Home exeeds expectations; every member of staff goes above and beyond to deliver person-centred care; it feels like a real home from home. The care delivered is exceptional - I know with absolute certainty that my family member is being looked after with the utmost care. I am kept
up to date with all developments and involved as much as I want to be in my loved ones care, but I know for certain that even when things are busy in my life, I am too unwell to attend the team at Sanford House are still delivering outstanding care. The home is spotless, secure and safe. In summary, Sanford House inadvertently changed my perception of nursing homes - I would not want to be admitted anywhere else because the team are truly the utmost credit to the health and social care sector.

Very happy with the care mum is receiving at Stanford House. Every member of staff goes the extra mile to ensure mum is cared for. They also make sure I am informed and coping with mum's inconsistent behaviour. They make sure mum is safe and comfortable.

My Father was on respite care, staff were caring and helpful. His comment to a family member was
" It wouldn't matter what care home I was in, I would not get better care."
I felt that my Father was looked after very well and his needs were met.

My wife was into year 5 of her stay and the end of life care both to us and her was amazing. Staff were so lovely kind loving in the 2 days were all stayed day and night before she passed . The manager has really tuned that home into a home and staff and herself attended various parts of the funeral.
Company should be so proud of Sanford House staff and management they make it an amazing place my only sadness I won't be going again as I've got to know so many lovely people working in that home .

My sister and I, together with our husbands, visited my brother at Sanford House which was a lovely bright, clean, friendly and open environment. We were all highly impressed with the way we were made to feel
very welcome by all of the staff, and we were looked after for the whole duration of our
visit. Everyone was so thoughtful and kind to us. I know our brother received exceptional care and attention whilst spending his final weeks here, for which we are also so very grateful.

My husband spent his final weeks at Sanford House Nursing Home, and I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the entire team for their kindness and compassionate care. Every need was met with warmth, patience, and a smile-nothing was ever too much trouble.
The home itself is immaculate, with bright
and welcoming spaces that create a comforting environment. A special thank you to Senior Nurse, whose exceptional dedication went above and beyond to ensure my husband and our family felt as comfortable and supported as possible.

Our father was admitted to Sanford House Nursing Home from hospital on 7/1/25. He was only in the home a short time before he passed away there on 26/1/25. However, we can not speak highly enough of all the staff we came across whilst our dad was there. They were all so lovely, very attentive and efficient
and cannot fault the care he received there in his final weeks and days.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this home with regard to care, nursing, family support and especially the palliative care. Our dad was treated with dignity and we appreciate that very much.

Dad was in need of urgent residential nursing care and Sanford although 30 minutes from his home proved to be the perfect place for him in his final 2 months of life. The family can't thank the team enough for the care and compassion they showed Dad. He was happy to be here and they made his time here
pleasant and soluble as much as they could before he was too weak to join in - but he was happy at his end of life. And when that came he was comfortable, pain free, and loved. Thank you Standford for all being so wonderful to our Dad.

Since moving to Sanford House Nursing Home my dad has been treated with the utmost care and attention. All the managers and staff have been fantastic and we are very sorry that he has had to move, it is not our choice. Thank you for everything you have done for him, we are very grateful.

When someone you love has care needs greater than you can provide as a family, the emotions are overwhelming. The care and treatment provided by the staff at Sanford House was individualised, consistent and of a high standard; over and above what we had anticipated but everything we could have hoped
for.
The communication and support for us as a family was honest, reassuring and compassionate. Every person we met whatever their role had a positive and kind attitude and we would have no hesitation based on our experience in recommending this care home to others.

Thank you for easing our concerns and reassuring us when my husband was discharged from hospital to be cared for at Sanford House. The knowledge and experience of the staff helped us enormously. It was a different time for all of us but he was made comfortable and received wonderful care. Meals were
excellent, all staff interacted with him constantly and they kept us informed all the time. He sadly passed away and that experience was made easier by the kind staff. Thank you from all his family.

As a resident whose family was spread across the country, with 3 children in Scotland, I can only commend the care, respect and friendship that was shown to my mother. As her condition deteriorated the level of attention that she was given and the phone calls we received assuring us of her comfort were
extremely assuring to us that she was in the place that suited her increasing needs. All the nursing staff were interacting with her and this was more than evident in conversations I had with them. We cannot thank the staff enough for this.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

As the Home Manager I believe our residents are our priority, and we are privileged that they choose to be in our homes and care and trust us to support their needs.


I completed my Nursing Degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2011. Since becoming a Registered Nurse, I have worked in a variety of roles within the care sector for over 13 years. I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems in secure services for over 4 years and then moved on to Dementia and Nursing Home Care. I progressed to a clinical lead role and then onto the part of Home Manager. I also supported homes across Norfolk and Suffolk as an Operations Manager.


Working across various settings has supported my clinical and management skills development.


I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team but to the residents and their relatives too. I encourage person-centred care and reflect this in how the staff team works and delivers their care.


I am passionate about putting residents first as we are given the opportunity to work in their homes and care for and support their needs.


I enjoy training developing and mentoring my team members to grow and develop in their roles at home and within the company.


In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, running, and watching rugby. I also enjoy travelling when possible visiting different cities and countries and experiencing different cultures.
